The Wanted star Tom Parker has been forced into postponing proposing to his girlfriend because of his band's schedule.

The singer has been dating Kelsey Hardwick for the last three years and he confirmed to The Sun that engagement is on his mind.

However, Parker said that due to The Wanted's impending world tour, he is delaying asking his partner to marry him in an effort to dedicate more time to her. The singer said:

"We've talked about it. I was going to propose last year. But I want things to settle down a bit with the band first. We're away so much. With an engagement, you're meant to be committing to each other. I don't want to get engaged and then go away for six months with the world tour. I'm probably going to wait until next year."

He concluded: "It can be tough doing a long-distance thing. But when you're with someone that you want to be with, you make it work."

The Wanted meanwhile are due to unleash their new album 'Word of Mouth' on November 4 before heading across the world on a massive tour next year.
