The Who unveil first song in eight years

The Who have debuted their first new song in eight years.

The band are releasing the track 'Be Lucky' to celebrate their 50th anniversary.

Profits from the song will go towards teenager cancer charities.

'Be Lucky' features Zak Starkey on drums and Pino Palladino on bass guitar, with the tune recorded at British Grove and Yellow Fish Studios.

The song makes reference to AC/DC and Daft Punk, with one of the lines saying:

"You want to climb without a safety line/Daft Punk will tell you that it's gonna be fine."

The Who meanwhile will release their best of collection 'Who Hits 50' on October 27.
