Sir Tom Jones prevously thought Rita Ora might quit The Voice because she was "devastated" by her acts' performance on the show.

The singer signed up to appear on the BBC TV talent show earlier this year.

However, she has now left after one series to take part in the 2015 edition of rival show the X Factor.

Speaking to the Daily Star, Jones - who has been on The Voice since it started three years ago - said that he predicted Ora might not might return after seeing her singers fail to reach the show's final.

He said: "Rita was really devastated. I would have felt the same way if it happened to me.

"I talked to her at length to try and console her because she was very upset. I thought 'I don't know if she'll do the next one'."
