Earlier this week, reports surfaced that suggested the singer had put on weight and had even asked her boyfriend, Danny Simpson, to help her shed the pounds, but she has now confirmed that none of this is true at all by tweeting:

"Story this week sayin Im a size 12 askin my boyfriend how 2 diet, yet theres a pic of me in LA 2day as a size 8. Lol back 2 the drawing board!"

She also revealed that she recently hitched a ride with a member of the paparazzi who had been following her around in Los Angeles and told her Twitter followers:

"So seeing as the paps are following me all day I've decided to get a lift off one to my next meeting lol!! Riding with the enemy! LOL."

The British singer is currently in the States to make inroads in her acting career, with auditions and meetings lined up.

It seems, however, that she was so desperate to make one of her meetings that she hitched a lift with a paparazzi photographer.

Tulisa posted an image of herself in the snapper's car, with a long lens camera and laptop clearly visible in the vehicle.

She tweeted: "So seeing as the paps are following me all day I've decided to get a lift off one to my next meeting lol!!"

The X Factor judge later added: "Riding with the enemy! LOL."

Tulisa meanwhile recently revealed that she has nearly confirmed a role in a movie sequel, saying:

"I enjoy acting, so I'm off to Los Angeles tomorrow to do that and I have meetings, auditions and agents lined up. I've got a movie planned for the end of the year so I'll be filming in LA then. It's 95 per cent confirmed but all I can tell you is it's a sequel."

The singer released her debut solo record 'The Female Boss' in 2012, but it only charted at No.35 in the UK.

Whilst flagship single 'Young' hit No.1 in the singles chart, Tulisa's other tracks didn't fare quite so well.

Speaking to the Daily Star, the X Factor judge said that she aims to continue her solo career despite her setbacks, with a change in sound on the cards. She said:

"I'm going to make a few singles soon, and I want to take my sound back to basics. I want to just make songs that I really love from now on."

Contostavlos continued: "My first single Young got to No 1, and that’s because it was a very UK-sounding track – and I realise now that’s what the fans want."

The 24-year-old singer's position on the show as a judge has been hefty fodder for tabloids over the past few months, but the star insists she is still an official member of the programme.

She told the Sunday People newspaper: ''I haven't been axed from 'The X Factor'. I love the show, I'd always want to do it. Last year was much harder than my first series but I did enjoy it.

''I've contacted Simon and had dinner with show producer Richard Holloway and his wife a couple of weeks ago. We're all friends and I've not been told that I won't be going back.''

Tulisa also rubbished claims she has strained relationships with Simon Cowell and fellow judge Gary Barlow.

She explained: ''I'm realistic. If Simon had called to say I was sacked, I'd say. If there were issues, I'd say. I love speaking the truth as I feel like nobody else does it. I'm not one to hold back. Simon and I are cool with each other, it doesn't go as deep as people think.

Tulisa added: ''Gary and I had our on-screen spats but we'd come off the stage and it would be cool. There weren't really any spats backstage.''

As previously reported, Swift appeared to take a swipe at the One Direction singer and former fling whilst performing at the Grammys on Sunday (February 10).

An Instagram account purporting to be Tulisa's recently posted a mock image of the pair that suggested Swift still "stalks" Styles.

Another picture was posted of news articles relating to the story, along with the caption: "Never mock my lad!!".

However, Tulisa posted on Twitter today (February 13) that the account is fake. She said:

"Guys I DON'T have Instagram. It's a fake, so now this story about me "warning" Taylor Swift over Harry Styles can be laid to rest! LOL."

The hitmaker and her beau Danny Simpson went to a shop in the Newcastle area to get tattoos and she took to her official Twitter page after the session to tell her followers about it: "New tat is aching 2day, worse then havin it done."

The artist, who is also on the social networking site as user @DemonInkTat2, shared several photographs from the session which show Tulisa and Simpson laughing together.

There's also a picture of Tulisa tattooing something on Simpson's right side near his hip at the Demon Ink Tattoo Studio in South Gosford.

Simpson posted about his new ink too, and wrote: "So iv finally had a new tattoo on my ribs #WOW."

It has been a busy few months for the members what with Dappy's court case and Tulisa and Fazer's respective solo careers, but speaking to BBC's Newsbeat about their plans she explained:

"Nothing's changed. It's just a case of when and we don't have a time on it yet."

Contostavlos is due to hit the road with Ne-Yo in March to support his UK headlining tour and she added that it'll be fantastic to get back on stage as a performer rather than a judge:

"I've heard so much about him and what a great guy he is and an amazing talent. I'm really excited about being back in arenas again."

"The way that it came about is that we have the same agency and it was just an idea that they came up with and approached me and asked me if I'd like to do it. We approached him and asked him if he'd be up for it and he was."

Speaking to MTV about the record, entitled 'The Female Boss', the 'Young' hitmaker explained that as long as her fans enjoy the songs she is content:

"I'm really happy with the album. I'm happy with the response I got from my fans, they all seemed to really enjoy it and that's all that matters."

She is due to head out on tour in support of R&B sensation Ne-Yo in March and added that she can't wait to get back on stage as a live performer:

"I can't wait to get back into arenas, back on stage, it just feels really good, it's been a while."

The singer unveiled debut record 'The Female Boss' late last year, but it only managed to chart at No.35 in the UK.

Speaking to the Metro, the X Factor UK judge - who has featured in films such as Demons Never Die - revealed that she wants to focus herself on acting this coming year instead of music. The singer said:

"I've kinda been doing acting for a while but never found the time. Now the album is out and done, I can find the time. I love acting as much as music so I would want to go to the top as much as I would in music. The X Factor is the only TV I would really do but I am getting back into my acting career this year. There's a couple of films in the pipeline."

Speaking about the last year and releasing her solo album, Tulisa added: "It was pretty much a crazy year and everything felt like it was crammed in from recording the album to X Factor, everything was just insane. Feels good to be out the way. I'm looking forward to starting a new chapter."

The singer's position on the show as a judge has been hefty fodder for tabloids over the past few months, but she is still an official member of the programme.

There was, however, a report published in the Daily Star today (January 13) that included quotes from a source who said the N-Dubz star had quit the X Factor after a row with producers.

The singer took to Twitter hours after to lambast media who disseminate gossip and "lies", saying:

"Some1 at a certain paper has a very wild imagination 2day,really dont understand how certain media are allowed to print complete lies#SAD."

Tulisa has been a member of the X Factor judging panel since 2011.

The British singer has spent two seasons on the hit TV show's judging panel, but her dad Plato Contostavlos thinks the 24-year-old should not return next year.

He told Now magazine: "She doesn't need The X Factor, she's got N-Dubz. Tulisa doesn't want to be there, she's bored of it."

The star's dad wants Tulisa to reunite with N-Dubz band members Dappy and Fazer and continue to make their urban music.

He added: "What I want for her is security, so she never has to rely on anybody apart from herself. I want her to make some serious dosh, millions, by doing an independent album with N-Dubz."

Tulisa has previously spoken about her desire to be back with her bandmates.

She said of her solo career: “I’ve been enjoying the freedom to be able to sing what I want, write what I want, and another part of me misses going through the motions whether they be up or down in a team and feeling it with two other people. It was a lot easier in the studio without them [N-Dubz] but that’s not to say it wasn’t as creative or fun. I still miss the boys.”

Since mentoring Little Mix to victory on her first series of 'The X Factor' last year, the star, 24, has been busily working on her solo career.

Her first single 'Young' stormed the charts in May, while follow-up 'Live It Up' gave her a top 15 hit in September.

She described the experience of being in the studio while working on her debut album The Female boss as “exciting but nerve-wracking at the same time.”

She told Digital Spy: “I’ve been enjoying the freedom to be able to sing what I want, write what I want, and another part of me misses going through the motions whether they be up or down in a team and feeling it with two other people.

“It was a lot easier in the studio without them (N-Dubz) but that’s not to say it wasn’t as creative or fun. I still miss the boys.”

Speaking about the musical style on the album she added: “I just did what music I like and it turned out to be all different sounds and all diff styles. It’s music that I felt was me and what I represented.”

The singer said she was “excited” about releasing the song ‘Visa’ which “might be coming out as the fourth single” from the album.

“I’m excited about releasing Visa. When we released the snippets it was the most popular track,” she said.

The British songstress was named FHM magazine's 'Sexiest Woman in the World' earlier this year, and Tulisa admits she still isn't comfortable with the accolade.

She laughed to Female First: "I was shocked and I get really embarrassed talking about it."

The self-styled 'Female Boss' is famed for her feisty nature, and the N-Dubz star has revealed why she adopted the catchy phrase.

She explained: "It’s from being with the boys in N-Dubz, even though I was the only girl I was still in charge! Us women are running things! I think it's great."

Tulisa has just wrapped up her second series as a judge on The X Factor - with Nicole Scherzinger's act James Arthur taking home the winner's crown on Sunday.

The brunette star says she'd love to appear on the coveted panel again - despite rumours of a shake-up for next season.

She exclaimed: "100 per cent! I love the show, so of course I'd do another series.  I love every minute of it. [In 2013] I'm straight back into work. No rest for me!"

The two sit on The X Factor judging panel alongside Gary Barlow and Louis Walsh. There have been suggestions there's a feud between the two women, but Tulisa has rubbished such rumours.

She told the Daily Mail: "I thought we’d be at loggerheads. But she’s not the person that was described to me,", referring to Nicole’s reputation as a diva.

She added: "We’re not best friends. But I class her as a mate. She’s been a great judge and is a girl after my own heart because she’s a Cancerian like me. She snaps if she’s backed into a corner, but she’s not as bad as I am!"

Tulisa gets on famously with 60-year-old Walsh, and the singer has gushed about their friendship.

She laughed: "We’re almost like brother and sister, but I’m the older brother! That’s what it’s like. It’s bizarre. But I don’t know what I’d do without Louis. We’re very much on the same page. He finds me hilarious."

The X Factor final weekend kicks off tonight - with Jahmene Douglas, James Arthur and Christopher Maloney all competing for the winner's crown.

The singer has released her debut solo album 'The Female Boss' but The Sun reports that it has sold disappointingly.

They say midweek data shows the record is placed at No.17 on the UK albums chart after selling only 7,000 copies - despite the singer performing new single 'Sight of Me' live on the X Factor last weekend.

That means the album could drop out of the top 20 completely by the time the chart is officially announced on Sunday (December 9).

The single, meanwhile, is said to be resting at No.10 on the UK chart.

Tulisa recently spoke to Digital Spy about how she is finding solo life, admitting that she misses her N-Dubz colleagues. She said:
