Tulisa put on suicide watch after drug allegations

Tulisa Contostavlos was shadowed by a minder after her agent feared she may commit suicide over drug allegations.

The ‘Young’ singer, who recently debuted a new makeover, is due to answer to police bail in October after being arrested earlier this year on suspicion of selling cocaine. The singer’s agent and friend Jonathan Shalit recently opened up about the star’s troubles, revealing that he hired a minder to look after her when things got rough.

“She got to the point where I was worried she would commit suicide,” said Shalit during a session at the Edinburgh Festival called Media Crisis.

"I made sure that someone was at her house for two consecutive nights to make sure she did nothing stupid, because she genuinely thought her life was over.”

Attacks on social media in particular have really taken a toll on the star’s confidence. “Young people live their lives through social media,” said Shalit. "They take it very personally what social media says. They really believe it.”
