Yamaha is expanding its highly successful partnership with Country to Country for 2017 that this year discovered and offered unrivalled exposure for emerging country artists including Orfila - who have since headlined festivals in the UK and overseas, and   Katy Hurt – who reached the number one spot in the iTunes Country Music Chart with her single, ‘Love You More’.

Taking place at The O2 London from 10th to 12th March, Country to Country is one of the UK’s biggest events for Country Music and Yamaha is hitting the road to discover the BEST new Country Artist, Duo or Band to take with them and perform on the Pop-Up stages at The O2.

To find their Country hero, Yamaha is running ‘THE YAMAHA HOEDOWN, The Road to C2C’, a series of live open mic heats in 4 regional music stores across the Country as follows:

PMT Manchester – January 31st – 19:30 hoedown@pmtonline.co.uk

Applications are now invited (details below), and artists selected to perform at a regional heat, will be invited to come along empty handed and perform one original and one country cover on Yamaha gear in front of an expert panel of industry judges.

Winners of each heat will then perform at a Grand Final at Yamaha HQ in Milton Keynes, where the overall winner will be chosen to perform as a Yamaha Artist at The O2 London during Country to Country 2017!
