Victoria Beckham: "Living in America was the happiest I think I've ever been"

Victoria Beckham has admitted that living in the US was the happiest time in her life.

The singer has moved a number of times in her recent life as a result of husband David Beckham's football career.

The retired sportsman moved from Real Madrid to LA Galaxy in 2007 and the Beckhams settled into a glitzy lifestyle.

Speaking to Allure magazine, Victoria Beckham said that being in the US allowed her fashion career to flourish.

She said: "Living in America for six years was the happiest I think I've ever been. It was much more accepting for a woman to have a career, as well as a man. And I loved it."

The former singer, who has now moved back to England, added: "I'm not saying I'm not happy now. I'm just as happy now!"
