British Hip-Hop artist and producer and former iAm1 frontman, Origin returns in 2014 with a brand new single titled “4”, as he announces the release of his forthcoming solo debut EP Mathematics, which is set to be released on June 23.

Produced by Bouncer and serving as the lead single for the forthcoming Mathematics EP, “4” sees Origin deliver one of the most lyrically complex songs he has ever written, packed with his trademark piercing flow, sharp rap lines and exquisite wordplay, as he captivates his listener from start to finish.

Inspired by Darren Aronofsky’s 2010 thriller Black Swan, “4” is a dark and gritty cinematic Hip-Hop record, backed by eerie orchestral strings, dense keyboard arrangements, synths, sparse drum patterns and an ethereal chorus with the lyrics “woman of my dreams, dancing in nightmares, she’s always on point” which pay a special ode to Natalie Portman in the Black Swan movie.

As one half of iAm1, Origin has garnered critical acclaim from the likes of BBC 1Xtra, Kiss FM, SoulCulture, SBTV andRWD Magazine among several UK tastemakers, appearing on the lauded Hypem Chart several times and topping it in 2011. Now that he embarks on this new journey as a solo artist, Origin is set to break even more grounds with his unique brand of storytelling and lyrical offerings.
