Kian Egan says debut solo album will be more "rocky" than Westlife

Kian Egan believes his upcoming debut record is more "rocky" than Westlife.

The Irishman recently confirmed plans to unleash his first solo album on March 17.

Speaking to Digital Spy last night (January 22), the singer said that his record is more akin to his own tastes, revealing:

"It's coming out March 17 - it's not the biggest departure in the world from Westlife. It's just going to be a bit more rocky and a bit more me. I will have a guitar in my hands - an electric guitar. It's rocky but still pop music."

The album is set to include some of Egan's "favourite" songs, with the Irishman adding his own touch to them.

Producer Brian Rawling, who has previously worked with One Direction, helped to mould the album.
