Wiley's 'Heatwave' named the UK's midweek No.1 single

Grime star Wiley has smashed his way into the UK Top 40 this afternoon with his new offering, 'Heatwave'.

The track has debuted at No.1 on the midweek update and if it remains in the top spot, it will mark his highest charting solo single to date as 'Wearing My Rolex' peaked at 2 back in 2008.

Calvin Harris and Example have this week's second highest new entry with 'We'll Be Coming Back' at No.2.

Elsewhere, Conor Maynard's 'Vegas Girl' is down 4 at No.8 although his debut record 'Contrast' secured the midweek No.1 spot on the albums chart, Arctic Monkeys' Olympic cover of 'Come Together' has made an appearance at No.19, and Emeli Sandé's version of 'Abide With Me' is at 32 after her stunning rendition of the song at the opening ceremony last week.

Paloma Faith's 'Picking Up The Pieces' is down 8 at No.39, Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds have entered at 35 with 'Everybody's On The Run', and Frank Turner has debuted at No.30 with 'I Still Believe'.
