‘GROOVE BOY’

VIDEO REVEALED

Belfast alt-pop duo New Portals have revealed their moody video for new single ‘Groove Boy’. The video premiered with Hot Press who called it, “A pristine slice of Mike and Ruth Aicken’s R&B infused take on electro-pop, the track has been paired with a suitably dreamy and seductive visual.”

The sensual sounds of the pair’s hooky melodies couple with delicate chimes and swathing synths to give this video just the right amount of attitude as we witness seduction between a striking blonde temptress and a cautious suitor.

The band have already won over Radio 1’s Huw Stephens and Phil Taggart with their previous singles ‘Skyline’ and ‘Do It Right’, which saw Taggart pronounce, “their harmonies are so good…”

Channelling an ethereal electronic take on pop, New Portals pull from hip hop beats, R&B and indie sentiments, which nod to the likes of Oh Wonder, Jamie xx and Say Lou Lou.
