Black Grape announced to play HOPE & GLORY festival's special show

August 4th at St. George’s Hall, Liverpool
Competition Tickets Available
Liverpool’s brand new boutique festival HOPE & GLORY has announced BLACK GRAPE as the first act to play at the free gig for early bird ticket holders on Friday 4th August. The band features Happy Mondays star Shaun Ryder, who says the band are, “Really looking forward to playing HOPE and GLORY festival in Liverpool. Always a pleasure to nip down the Lancs!”

The concert will be taking place the Friday night before the festival weekend begins, in the stunning St George’s Hall, in the heart of Liverpool. Access to this very special show – with a secret line-up – was available only to the first 1,200 ticket buyers for the HOPE & GLORY festival as an extra-special bonus for early purchases.

With reaction to the festival proving unprecedentedly strong and tickets sales soaring following the huge full weekend line-up announcement, the first 1,200 tickets sold out straight away. The only way now for fans to get their hands on tickets for the Friday night show will be by entering the exclusive competition to be in with a chance of winning one of 10 pairs of tickets.

To enter fans must simply ‘like’ and ‘share’ the event on the HOPE & GLORY Facebook page and ‘follow’ and ‘retweet’ the competition post on their Twitter. Those people already holding tickets for the free early bird secret show also have the chance of taking more friends with them, or enjoying a free bottle of champagne at the festival, by getting involved in sharing the event details across their social media.

HOPE & GLORY is a unique event set to take over Liverpool’s city centre. It is set behind St. George’s Hall, in St John’s Gardens and William Brown Street where 12,500 fans can enjoy the festival while indulging in the stunning Victorian backdrop of the World Museum and City Library in a specially created arena – all within a few hundred yards walk of the main Lime Street train station.

With an abundance of spectacular entertainment taking place across the whole weekend HOPE & GLORY is one of the hottest new festivals coming to the UK this summer, providing a quirky and fun weekend for all the family to watch, enjoy and discover some of the best talent in music and art.
