Wretch 32 has lost a host of new music ideas and lyrics after an unfortunate bathing incident killed off a phone that was full of new recordings.

It is reported that the rapper told The Sun that he was taking a bath when his phone slipped into the water.

Wretch said that he tried his hardest to resurrect the phone - which contained "a lot" of song ideas - but his efforts were just not enough. He said:

"I was in the bath and it fell off the side. When I took it out of the water, I put it in the airing cupboard and also in a pot of rice, which someone told me might fix it, but it didn't work. I lost a lot of stuff - ideas."

He added: "It's sad because there were a lot of concepts on there, I lost probably 10 tracks plus freestyle lyrics."
