MICHELE CLARK CELEBRATES HER FINAL SUNSET SESSIONS BEGINNING TONIGHT IN TULUM, MEXICO
INDIE ROCK ACT METRIC PREVIEWING ANTICIPATED NEW ALBUM IN MOMENTOUS CEREMONY
For Immediate Release - Black Panda PR - Tulum, QR Mexico – April 29, 2015 - Music industry mogul and mother Michele Clark has been credited with the success of hundreds of songs and the artists who wrote them throughout her 25 year career in the music business - Matchbox Twenty, Hootie and the Blowfish, Coldplay, Maroon 5, Train, Norah Jones, Jewel, John Mayer, The Dave Matthews Band, Lenny Kravitz, Jason Mraz and so many more.
She's also always woven her spiritual practices into her industry conventions by including teachers such as Mastin Kipp, Rev. Michael Bernard Beckwith, Dr. Peebles, Hay House Publications, and many others in past Sunset Sessions conventions. This year's Sunset Sessions will host morning yoga sessions, sweating with the shamans, and as always, music for the soul - including an exclusive preview of the latest album from Canadian millennial rock act Metric. Even more panels, more artists and more information on tickets and music acts performing daily around the clock, here
Sunset Sessions Rock 2015 will be Clark’s swan song to the actual industry convention. It’s taking place her own all-inclusive health, wellness & spiritual growth retreat, born on the sacred white sands of Alaya Tulum, Villa Pescadores and Ahau Tulum. She co-founded the venture with spiritual entrepreneur, architect/designer David Graziano. She will be giving a formal announcement to attending members of the press at the event.
“Even though this is the last Sunset Sessions convention, I’m surely not leaving the music business all together, " laughs Clark. “The Sunset Sessions brand will continue to exist in new and exciting ways... With over 500 alumni artists & 18 years of history, how could it not?"
Clark will also finish her highly anticipated book "The Hit Woman," which will finally reveal the truth that only she can tell behind the Spitzer scandal that changed the music business and "did more to hurt new artists than anything I've witnessed in my 25 years in the business."
Sunset Sessions artists have gone on to tour and write together, sign record deals, find their managers, booking agents, festivals, producers, and of course – they’ve topped the radio charts, sold millions. They got played in TV shows, movies, video games, networks & commercials and so many have won Grammy Awards! Most importantly, they’ve gone on to become friends with the executives who helped launch their careers. Sunset Sessions is a community now and THAT is a legacy that will never diminish.
17 years brought Clark 23 conventions in 15 cities, in addition to Songwriters Retreats, National Tours, SXSW, R&R, Boulder & Gavin Showcases, Grammy parties and countless other charities such as Pledge Music and MusiCares.
“I’m dedicated to sharing my passion for learning and growing with others. I have 30 years of 12 step experience. I’ve sponsored and lead meetings and workshops all over the world presenting the things that have moved me most profoundly to nourish others. This is a natural and meaningful chapter ending and beginning as well with hosting my final Sunset Sessions here,” Clark concludes.
Sunset Sessions Rock 2015 and Lifesource Retreats continues Clark’s legacy in that way, too. They are supporting families privately as well as providing cooperative opportunities from this years’ final session to the organization Amigos de Sian Kaan within the Mayan community there.
