With a new album on the way for a 2012 release, classically-infused minimal electronic producer Max Cooper announces a remix EP and London headline show.

The facts are easy to establish: Max Cooper has more than 50 original releases, tracks and remixes under his belt, from glitchy reinterpretations of big bands like Hot Chip and Au Revoir Simone to straight dancefloor 12"s like his breakthrough ‘Serie’ originals and remixes for names like Agoria, Dominik Eulberg, Extrawelt, Pig and Dan, Kaiserdisco and Sasha.

Next month will see the release of his EP, ‘Amalgamations’ which includes two remixes: a rework of cinematic electronic producer Hiatus’ ‘Third’ and a Get People remix, previously released as a download. There has always been a strong focus on the visual and this release will be no exception with a video commissioned and scheduled for ‘Third’ later this month. In the past, artists like Whiskas Fx and Nick Cobby have been commissioned to make videos for his music (see them here). Cooper’s fans also enthusiastically produce their own creations to accompany his work (a selection can be viewed here).

From his breakthrough trilogy of ‘Serie’ releases on Traum Schallplatten - the first released in 2009 and with each track inspired by a different scientific or mathematical concept - Cooper has built a reputation for one-off originals, killer remixes and challenging DJ and live sets.

The melancholy composer’s live sets can raise blisters in a club, but Cooper is as comfortable writing abstract electronica as he is writing dancefloor techno 12"s. He is a rationalist with an otherworldly, idealistic side; a wildly creative musician who until recently had a day job as a sober genetics researcher.

Recent performances include ones at Lightbox, Vauxhall, Alpha-Ville Festival, XOYO with Pantha Du Prince and Jon Hopkins,Picnik Electronik Festival, Montreal and Decibel Festival, Seattle. Cooper has announced another London date. He is to headline Electrowerkz with support from experimental electronic duo, Ghosting Season.

Ben has been Acting Controller, BBC Radio 1 & 1Xtra since July 2011, prior to which he was Deputy Controller from February 2009, running Radio 1 and Radio 1Xtra day to day and being the strategic lead for both stations. He will take up the role with immediate effect and report to Tim Davie, Director BBC Audio & Music.

Ben, 41, began his career in BBC Local Radio, presenting and producing on Hereford & Worcester and as a journalist at Three Counties Radio before becoming a producer at Radio 1.

He then spent some time in the commercial sector at Capital Radio as an Executive Producer, before returning to Radio 1, first as Head of Mainstream then as Head of Programmes.

During his time as Deputy Controller, Ben successfully implemented a major revamp of Radio 1's schedule and moving Fearne Cotton to weekday mornings, Greg James to lunchtimes and Dev to early breakfast; as well as introducing a new specialist line-up with documentaries, a brand new review show and In New DJs We Trust moving into the heart of the weeknight schedule.

Ben is responsible for introducing BBC Radio 1's Teen Awards to the schedule in 2010. Now in its second year, the event honours teen heroes alongside celebrities in a star-studded ceremony.

Earlier this year, Ben also launched Radio 1's Big Conversation – an annual event that brings young people, politicians and youth organisations together to discuss the hopes and fears of young people in the UK.

Radio 1 was named Station of the Year at the Music Week Awards in 2010 and currently reaches nearly 12 million listeners a week with its high quality and distinctive content – making sure that Radio 1 is a central driver for the BBC in engaging with younger audiences.

Under Ben's leadership, in January 2011 Radio 1Xtra's daytime schedule was refreshed bringing Twin B to Breakfast, moving Trevor Nelson to mornings and Gemma Cairney to afternoons with Westwood continuing on afternoons. The station is currently reaching just under one million listeners.

Between 2006 and 2008, Ben was Head of Programmes, Radio 1. During this time he hired Vernon Kay, Greg James, Nick Grimshaw, Fearne Cotton and Reggie Yates; and extended The Chris Moyles Show by half an hour. He was Head of Mainstream for Radio 1 from 2003-2006 and an Executive Producer at Capital Radio from 2001 to 2003.

Ben succeeds Andy Parfitt, who left Radio 1 after 13 years in July 2011, and will sit on the Audio & Music Board.

London, 28th October 2011 - 4Minute, Beast, and G.NA of CUBE Entertainment , will be heading to the UK this December for the first ever K-Pop Showcase in the UK. 'United Cube in London' will take place at London’s O2 Brixton Academy on Monday 5th December.

On Friday 28th October at 6pm (GMT) the full station website of www.idealclubworldradio.com will go live and to celebrate its big launch, a 12 hour LIVE on-air party - complete with live webcam - will commence as the station switches, in real time, between different studio locations across the UK.

This is the second year the BRITs have asked that their ‘blank canvas’ trophy be designed by a leading British creative individual - last year fashion designer Dame Vivienne Westwood adorned the coveted statue. Sir Peter is responsible for some of the most iconic album sleeves of all time including The Beatles - Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band, Paul Weller – Stanley Road, Oasis – Stop The Clocks and the single sleeve for the Band Aid single Do They Know It’s Christmas? 

 Sir Peter Blake said: “I am very proud to be this year’s designer for the iconic BRIT Award trophy.  It is wonderful to be a part of this most important and exciting music event, honouring the greatest of talents shaping our musical landscape. I’ve enjoyed the creative challenge to honour such leading performers enormously.” 

 The BRIT Awards are also proud to announce the return of one of the most talented and talked about British actors/writers/producers and presenters James Corden. James who is currently winning five star reviews in the play One Man, Two Guvnors will take time out of his hectic schedule to return for the second year in a row. 

Speaking about The BRITs James said: “I enjoyed presenting the show so much last year so being asked back for the third time is a real honour.  Ever since I was a teenager I’ve loved the BRIT Awards.  As a music fan I feel totally privileged to have the best seat in the house. I can’t wait.”

Having created possibly the world’s most iconic album sleeve with The Beatles, Sir Peter’s work is synonymous with the best of British music." 

2011 saw a raft of changes that marked a new era for the legendary awards that saw them become more iconic and relevant than ever before. Following this year's event the charts were dominated by BRIT artists. In the official albums chart, seven of the Top 10 albums were either by BRIT winners, performers or nominees. In the iTunes chart nine of the top 10 albums were BRIT winners or performers.  

Adele’s stunning rendition of ‘Someone Like You’ became the most talked-about performance this year. Following the BRITs the single climbed 46 places in the charts, reaching number one, where it spent five weeks in total. Like last year, the main focus of the awards will be on the all-new MasterCard British Album Of The Year Award. The night will showcase and highlight the incredible world-class albums released by British artists over the course of the year. This year's triumphant winner was Mumford & Sons for the critically acclaimed ‘Sigh No More’.

Another significant change from previous years came by way of the Voting Academy, which, for the first time in the awards' history, invited artists to sit on the academy and cast votes. The Academy is made up of invited members from across the breadth of the UK music industry, from music critics to radio producers, music publishers, promoters, record companies, retailers and NUS representatives. With all 2011's winners and nominees being invited to join the panel for 2012, artists are now the single largest group represented. 

Guests and viewers alike were this year treated to a magnificent array of performances which showcased the crème de la crème of both British and international talent in Take That, Adele, Rihanna, MasterCard British Album Of The Year Award winners Mumford & Sons, Plan B, Arcade Fire, Tinie Tempah and Cee Lo Green with guest performer, Paloma Faith. 2012 will see more amazing and exciting performances brought to the stage with tickets going on sale from today.

During the broadcast Richie will perform select duets of his runaway hits with Little Big Town, Darius Rucker, and Rascal Flatts. Richie is no stranger to the CMA Awards stage. In 1984, Richie performed "Lady" with Kenny Rogers and in 1986, he performed "Deep River Woman" with Alabama.

"The 45th Annual CMA Awards" is hosted by Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood and features performances by Jason Aldean, The Band Perry, Luke Bryan, Eric Church, Sara Evans, Faith Hill, Lady Antebellum, Miranda Lambert, Martina McBride, Scotty McCreery, Blake Shelton, Sugarland, Taylor Swift, Thompson Square, Keith Urban, Chris Young, Zac Brown Band, plus Kenny Chesney and Grace Potter singing their hit collaboration "You and Tequila," Rascal Flatts and Natasha Bedingfield singing their current hit duet "Easy," and co-hosts Paisley and Underwood in their first live televised-performance of their No. 1 song "Remind Me."    

Surpassing his creative and personal boundaries, Richie comes full circle with the innovative and personal Tuskegee, performing 13 of his most revered "anthems of our day" with some of the biggest names in Country Music, including Aldean, Chesney, Billy Currington, Little Big Town, Tim McGraw, Sugarland's Jennifer Nettles, Rascal Flatts, Rucker, and Blake Shelton. On this worldwide, multi-genre album, Richie is also joined by the likes of such superstars as Shania Twain, Kenny Rogers, Willie Nelson, and Jimmy Buffett.

Tuskegee is an exciting and transcendent arc in a career that has seen album sales of more than 100 million, 22 Top 10s, five Grammys, an Academy Award for Best Original Song, a Golden Globe, and a host of other awards from virtually every major entertainment organization.

While defying boundaries and breaking barriers throughout his storied career, Richie reveals once again that Tuskegee will join the ranks of his timeless body of work that touches people of all faiths, ages and demographics across the world.

"As my songwriting progressed, I realized that my songs perfectly translated to the Country genre," says the living legend as he taps on the keys of the piano in his state-of-the-art recording studio.

It was when Conway Twitty sang "Three Times a Lady" along with songs such as "Lady" and "Deep River Women" that Richie knew Country Music was clearly omnipresent in the lyrics he wrote.

"I was born and raised in Tuskegee, Alabama. I am a country boy and proud of it. To do this project just felt natural," says Richie.

"Growing up with Country, R&B, gospel, and classical music from my grandmother and pop, Tuskegee was the perfect melting pot for my influences as a writer," he says, "and the title, Tuskegee, is a validation of my growing up there—the place I call home."

Envisioning and bringing Tuskegee to life with such grace and passion has been a rewarding, revelatory time for Richie.

"What began as a collaboration of talented people ended up being a great group of friends getting together to make great music," says Richie.

"Tuskegee is a state of mind as it is a place," he adds, "a place of possibility, hope, promise, self-empowerment, and where dreams come true."

Praised as "robust," "finely-tuned," and "compelling" by The New York Times, "4 Intimate Nights With Beyonce" at Roseland Ballroom, was a tour de force for the entertainer. It was the only time she would perform her new album, 4, almost completely and to a very limited audience. The 26-song live DVD brings the quaint setting turn stadium performances to your living room.  

And on Tuesday, November 29, Live At Roseland: The Elements Of 4 deluxe package, a two-disc DVD, with the complete concert, bonus offstage footage, a 20-page booklet and a video anthology that includes seven videos from her latest album, 4, will be released worldwide. The concert documentary is filled with never-before seen footage that captures Beyonce's life from eager five-year-old music fan to a consummate entertainer who is in control of every inch of her life and career.

In advance of the DVD's release, the new video for "Party," included in the anthology on the deluxe DVD, will be on air on BET's 106 & Park tonight and online with VEVO and Beyonceonline.com. Directed by Beyonce and Alan Ferguson, "Party" is the sixth video released from "4" and features rapper J Cole with cameos from Solange and Kelly Rowland.
