On September 11th 2012, Takashi Akai released his debut solo project entitled, “My Darkside“. Powerblast Worldwide [through an exclusive arrangement with Takashi Music Group] is pleased announce this six song EP release from our longtime in-house producer/engineer. Takashi Akai has served as talent scout and A& R director for Powerblast and has produced and served as engineer for a multitude of songs released by Powerblast and various project clients. He has been hard at work on this particular project for the last few months perfecting and fine tuning all elements to bring you an incredible sounding release.

“My Darkside” is a hardcore hip-hop record for fans of street rap. Takashi Akai has crafted a masterful hardcore rap record. He is not only the primary vocalist on this project, but he also serves as producer of every track on the “My Darkside”. Each track is given the attention to detail that only can be found on a work of a contemporary symphony orchestra. While this isn’t his first time as a vocalist, it is his 1st time as a solo lyricist. Takashi Akai’s production style can be best described as cinematic street music. His sound could easily be a film score to an epic crime drama.

BIG YEAR PLANNED FOR POWERBLAST WORLDWIDE

Powerblast Worldwide [Miami, FL based artist management & entertainment services firm] experienced a very busy 1st Quarter. We released, “To Her from Him”, the debut EP by She Loves No One; which is selling quite well and garnering amazing attention in the realm of licensing opportunities and song placements. We assisted with the release of, “Alien Love [EP]”, by Fudakochi; which is receiving tremendous critical praise. Additionally, we coordinated the rebuild and re-launch of his live/touring band. The band is professionally known as Celestial State and they have a string of dates running through April/May in preparation of a busy summer touring season. We also inked an exclusive management deal with Miami based singer/songwriter, RIMIDI. Along with Anti Robot Society records, we are coordinating the release of her debut album, “Stone Cold”. Videos are being shot and we are in the process of putting her live/touring band together as well.

With 2nd Quarter upon us, our expectations are high. Through major due diligence and follow through we are already seeing some of the fruits of our labor. We have secured agency representation and licensing deals for She Loves No One and are fielding an offer from an agency to license RIMIDI’s music as well. Fudakochi and Celestial State are making significant strides in the live area with new performance dates being secured each week. We also an extremely aggressive release schedule with new music coming from not only from RIMIDI, but via Powerblast in-house producer, Takashi Akai; who will release his solo project, “My Darkside” this summer. Fudakochi will be releasing, “Egyptian Lotus Flower”, which is the 2nd installment of his ‘Soulternative Trilogy’. Gino Black will also release “The Assassination of Gino Black” late 2nd quarter.

“Falling in Love like an 80s Movie”

She Loves No One, the South Florida based electronic-indi-rock act, releases official single from her debut “To Her from Him (EP)”. The debut EP was recently released on Valentines Day (Feb. 14th) and is currently available on iTunes and other major outlets. Following up on the bubbling buzz and independent success of the delightful song, “Eve & Avery”, She Loves No One prepares to release “Falling in Love like an 80s Movie” as an official single. The independent label behind the act, Powerblast Worldwide, is banking on this song becoming a monster hit. “Falling in Love like an 80s Movie” is a fresh sounding alternative rock anthem which is reminiscent of something you would hear as a part of the score & soundtrack for a John Hughes film. The song’s chorus even references Hughes’ seminal film ‘Pretty in Pink’ and its leading lady, Molly Ringwald. The song was composed, produced and mixed by Gino Black, who co-wrote the lyrics with She Loves No One’s Chick Chelsea. This song has tremendous pop appeal and would make for wonderful closing credits material. It’s a multi-layered up-tempo ballad; which is built on beautiful piano melodies similar to Coldplay. The song builds masterfully on crunchy electric guitar riffs and arpeggio elements as well as incorporating an athematic string arrangement, which peaks with lovely sweeping crescendos. It’s a fun, vibrant and moving song, which will be enjoyed by all ages. Whether you were falling in love during the 80s, or you simply enjoy watching reruns of classic 80s films; this song will grab you. “Falling in Love like an 80s Movie” has already garnered attention from music directors and has been optioned for licensing on two major cable networks.

Powerblast Worldwide will service College, Triple A and Alternative radio stations with physical copies of the single during the month April. The Powerblast promotions department will promote with a significant viral push as well as college campus marketing campaign.
