Joe Germanotta owns the Joanne Trattoria eatery in New York and it seems his famous daughter can't say no to its menu.

She told Elvis Duran and the Morning Show that it seems like every time she makes a visit to the restaurant, she puts on weight. Gaga said:

"I love eating pasta and I'm a New York Italian girl. That's why I have been staying out of New York. My father opened a restaurant. It's so amazing... it's so freaking delicious, but I'm telling you I gain five pounds every time I go there. So my dad wants me to eat at the restaurant, and I'm like, 'I've got to go where I can drink green juice'."

The 'Born This Way' singer said that she is "dieting right now, because I gained, like, 25 pounds", adding:

"I really don't feel bad about it, not even for a second. It's hard because I have a vigorous show, so I tend to bulk up, get muscular, and I really don't like that. So I'm trying to find a new balance."

Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter about how she tries to give advice to aspiring musicians, singers and contestants, the 'Obsessed' hitmaker explained that she values honesty because she doesn't want people to pursue something if they're not talented enough to make it:

"I try to be honest and I try to be constructive. I don't know if that means that I'm nice or mean or whatever. I'm a producer and I'm a songwriter, and I look at myself as a singer as kind of third."

"But I look at these kids as though we're in the studio producing a record. And if I feel they should have done something a certain way, I'll say, 'you can try this, you can try this,' only in a constructive way, to sort of be a guide and someone to give them guidance rather than, like, judging somebody."

Addressing the recent rumours that suggest there's a behind-the-scenes feud between herself and new judge Nicki Minaj, she added that she's taking the job one day at a time:

"You know what, I think the whole thing is gonna be an experience that unfolds each day. But it's cool, I'm glad to be there, and right now after this, I'm going to the studio and working on some new music and (I'm) excited about that. ... That's always gonna be the most exciting thing for me."

The singer is in the throes of launching her new perfume and it looks set to go down a storm worldwide.

The scent - which is black when liquid and clear when sprayed - was always intended to be risqué and seductive, with Lady Gaga telling Access Hollywood:

"I wanted it to be very sexy. And, I also wanted it to be a little bit slutty….I wanted it to have that sort of danger of a really beautiful stripper."

Gaga continued: "It's a fragrance for a woman that wants to be taken to bed, certainly."

As previously reported, the 'Born This Way' star had the back of her head tattooed as she launched Fame at the Guggenheim Museum in New York yesterday (September 13).

It is said the tattoo is a tribute to the mother of friend and photographer Terry Richardson, who died recently.

It is 11 years to the day (September 11) that nearly 3,000 people lost their lives in four separate attacks in the US.

The terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center in New York perhaps served as the symbol of the atrocities, shocking people around the world as two hijacked commercial planes flew into the Twin Towers.

Taking to Twitter today soon after the clock struck midnight, Jessie J posted a message of tribute to the victims of the attacks. She said:

"Today my thoughts will be with those who lost their lives on 911 and all the family and friends who lost loved ones. Gone but never forgotten <3."

As previously reported, the 'Beez In The Trap' star was forced to pull two slots at the weekend's V Festival (August 18/19) and a show in Dublin (August 21) after losing her voice.

Minaj picked up the vocal problems after she ignored advice from a doctor and performed two sets in one day in New York last week (August 14).

This seemingly angered some fans and prompted Minaj to today (August 21) take to Twitter to post an expletive filled rant in response. She said:

"I am so thankful to my true fans who understand WHY I couldn't play#VFestival & WHY I can't play Dublin. Absolutely gutted. However, if u have anything negative to say to me, please#EatSh*tAndDie - I am human."

Minaj continued: "I was in jeopardy of losing my voice entirely and needing surgery on my vocal chord. If u can't understand that, your mother's a WH*RE!!!! I will NOT let you people make me feel horrible for a f*cking HEALTH issue! That's what got me in this mess! I shldve listened 2 the doctor! Like people are hitting me telling me I shldve mimed. No! Then you woulda made a f*cking STORY out of that too! #killyaf*ckingself. My beloved United Kingdom, u know how much I f*cking love u! Ireland, I truly appreciate you. Barbz, thnku for the well wishes."

As previously reported, the 'Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded' star previously told fans on Twitter that doctors had told her to rest her voice for two weeks due to the effects of extensive touring.

However, the singer performed twice on Tuesday (August 14) in New York - for the Today Show in the morning and again later at night for a free Pepsi concert.

Minaj, who has festival dates planned at the UK's V Festival this weekend (August 18/19), confirmed on Twitter yesterday (August 15) that she has now lost her voice after keeping her promise to play the free gigs. She tweeted:

"And barbz its official, my voice is GONE!!!! I swear it held up just to spk to u guys last nite! Mind over matter. The mind is so powerful. It was all worth it for what I experienced w/u guys last night tho. Wouldn't change a thing."

Replying to a fan who asked what her doctor had said to her, Minaj replied:

"U don't wanna know. U guys r gna be dramatic :p."

The R&B superstar, who last week called for kindness in a new video promoting the cause, took to the floor of the U.N. General Assembly to sing a rendition of power ballad, ‘I Am Here,’ a clip of which will be uploaded on her official website on August 19.

After belting out the track from her recent ‘4’ album, the 30-year-old went on to make a brief speech which referenced the 2003 Iraq terror attack that inspired the UN to set up World Humanitarian Day:

"I'd like to ask everyone to make sure they're a part of August 19th. It's such a beautiful, beautiful day, and I'd like to honor the 22 people who lost their lives. God bless you all. Thank you so much for having me."

Although the superstar hasn't revealed details of the song's title, several of her followers who were treated to an advance listen took to social networking site Twitter to write about the experience.

User @PrinceAirik wrote: "GAGA JUST STOPPED FOR US BLASTING A NEW SONG!!!! It wasn't nothing on but the radio ! it was another song i've never heard before..."

He later added: "it sounds like her voice is super auto tuned in the song.. i can't explain it"

Fan @boyXsupreme was one of the lucky people to hear the cut and he explained: "Gaga didn't tell us the name of the song she was playing for us (obviously. why would she?) but it was clearly from the new album.

"IT WAS VERY HARD TO HEAR THE LYRICS CAUSE EVERYONE WAS SCREAMING BUT YOU COULD HEAR THE BEAT AND THE MELODY AND IT WAS F*CKING INSANE!!!!"

Another Twitter fan (@An_niee), who also uploaded a photo of Gaga that can be seen below, shared details of the impromptu meeting: "It had such a sick beat and it was a major dance song!!! I asked her if it was the new single she looked at me and shook her head yes and said shhhhh."

Newspaper reports earlier this year suggested that the singer had been lined up to appear in photoshoots for the clothing company.

H&M dodged the speculation, adding that they couldn't comment on rumours - but today (July 17) they announced on Twitter that Del Rey is to front their autumn campaign. H&M tweeted:

"We're happy to confirm that @LanaDelRey is the face of H&M's autumn campaign!"

They uploaded a photo of Del Rey from a recent photoshoot, with the 'Video Games' singer wearing a pink jumper.

Del Rey will also record a cover of the track 'Blue Velvet' for H&M's website.

They are working on a movie called 'Can a Song Save Your Life?' and have been photographed getting close on the streets of Manhattan.

Earlier today (July 2), the 'Payphone' singer tweeted a message to let his fans know that he's excited about the big screen project: "First day of shooting for the movie!"

He also shared a photograph with his 2.6 million followers, in which he can be seen wearing a pair of black-rimmed reading glasses, and a flannel shirt with a grey T-shirt underneath it.

Other stars who are set to appear in the film include Mark Ruffalo, James Corden and Cee Lo Green.
