In an emotional blog post (October 4), the 'Chasing Pavements' hitmaker explained to her American fans that she is "heartbroken and worried" to have to cut the string of ten dates and wanted to let them know the full extent of the situation:

"I have never been able to fully recover from any of the problems that I've had and then continue to rest even once im recovered, because of my touring commitments. I've been offered the chance to not tour at all to save anything like this from happening again, but I simply hate letting you down."

"If I continue to pick up everything before I have properly conquered these problems and nipped them in the bud, I will be totally and utterly fucked. Singing is literally my life, it's my hobbie, my love, my freedom and now my job. I have absolutely no choice but to recuperate properly and fully, or I risk damaging my voice forever."

She went on to say that she's "devastated and annoyed" at having to bow out of the tour and added, "I apologise from the bottom of my heart, sincerely i do."

She was due to begin the run of dates on Friday, October 7 in New Jersey. Watch her recently released video for 'Someone Like You' here:

Adele returns to the U.S. for a sold-out, 10 city tour on October 7th in Atlantic City, NJ at Borgata.  The tour will make stops inNashville, Miami and Atlanta (among other cities) before coming to a close on October 21 in Grand Prairie, TX at Verizon Theatre at Grand Prairie (see below for full itinerary).

In the October edition of British Vogue, on which she graces the cover, the 'Set Fire To The Rain' superstar talks about the link between being a singer and being approached to represent companies to promote their goods and said that she has no interest in selling anything. 

"I don't want to see me plastered everywhere. If they offered me £10million, I'd be like f*** off."

She did, however, joke that there is one company in particular that she probably wouldn't turn down and added, "besides if I was going to be the face of anything it should be the face of full-fat [regular] coke."

The 20-year-old will be "doing an Adele", as the album's based on his recent break-up:

"I'll probably end up doing an Adele. I've just got out of a four-year relationship so I'll base the whole album around the break-up and hopefully sell as many copies as she does.

"I've done 90% of the backbone for the next album. It's going to have a bigger sound, it'll be more guitar-based and I'm looking forward to getting stuck into it."
