Adele's '21' hits 10 million sales in the US

Adele's monolithic album '21' has passed the 10 million sales barrier in the US.

The hugely successful record, which was released in February 2011 in America, has now sold 10,020,000 units in the country.

It is the 21st release to hit 10 million sales since Nielsen SoundScan began collating chart data in 1991.

Back home in the UK, meanwhile, '21' has dropped out of the UK Top 40 for the first time since its release in January 2011.

At 4.5 million units shifted, the record is currently the fifth best selling album ever in the UK, with the album enjoying 71 consecutive weeks in the top ten.

The Wanted's Max George on Zayn Malik Twitter feud: "I'm not sure what his problem is"

The Wanted have spoken publicly about their Twitter feud with One Direction.

The two British boybands were recently embroiled in a tit for tat battle on the social networking website, with One Direction's Zayn Malik and The Wanted's Max George heavily involved.

Malik later called George "chlamydia boy" and speaking to Channel 955, the Wanted star said that he doesn't know why the One Direction man has gone on the offensive. He said:

"I'm not sure what his problem is to be honest. It started off that I thought we were just having a bit of banter, but he seemed to get a bit serious. I tried to palm it off as being friendly again, but you can only take so many insults and eventually I just said, 'Alright listen - if you've got a problem, come and see me in New york when we're there doing a gig together and we'll sort it out'."

Speaking about Zayn Malik's "chlamydia boy" jibe, bandmate Jay McGuiness added: "I don't think it's based on any fact. It's like when kids in the playground go 'Poo Breath!' - rarely has that kid actually eaten faeces. I think he was just taking a stab in the dark."

George chimed in: "I think he's probably just finished sex ed so he's like 'Yeah whooo!'."

Speaking on the Ellen DeGeneres show, Horan opened up on what he is looking for in a girl, saying:

"I like someone that's cute. Someone I can have a laugh with. And I also like people that are American. And you all qualify."

Longstanding rumoured love interest Demi Lovato meanwhile fits the bill for Horan, but both the 'One Thing' man and the X Factor USA judge have denied that there is any romance.

As previously reported, One Direction have tapped up Super Size Me director Morgan Spurlock to work on their first ever 3D film.

The Wanted planning US TV show

The Wanted could be set to hit TV screens across the US with their own series.

The UK based boyband have made something of a splash stateside this year, performing on shows like American Idol.

However, it seems like the quintet are looking to take it one further and land their own US TV series.

Speaking to The Sun, Tom Parker said that they are also thinking about getting homes in America. He said:

"We're looking at getting a TV show in the US and we want houses over there to have a base. We're also in the frame to record a song for a big film sequel and we might get a cameo in it."

Parker also spoke about some of the songs that are impressing him at the moment, revealing a particular taste for Labrinth. He said:

"'Candy' is not my favourite Robbie Williams song but it is a great radio track. The Labrinth, Emeli Sandé single ['Beneath Your Beautiful'] is one of the best songs of the year. I'm a massive fan of his. I'd love to work with him but he's signed to Syco so it won't happen."

In the accompanying interview, Rihanna reveals that she likes to men to be dominant in a relationship, admitting:

'I like to feel like a woman. I have to be in control in every other aspect of my life, so I feel like in a relationship, I wanted to be able to take a step back and have somebody else take the lead. I could absolutely be dominant, but in general, I'd rather...How do I say this in, like, a non-X rated version? Love makes you go places you probably wouldn't ever go, had it not been for love. But I think everybody still has their limits."
