Cheryl has responded to claims that she walked out of an interview with the BBC.

The Mirror had reported via an unnamed source that the Girls Aloud singer ended an interview with BBC Three early after what was said to be an odd line of questioning.

The newspaper said that Cheryl was repeatedly asked "Why are we here?", much to the Geordie's reported bemusement.

However, she took to Twitter today (June 27) to refute the reports, saying:

"Fyi.. I have never walked out of an interview in my career. I had to be reminded of what your even referring to.. Stop telling lies lol."

Adam Lambert talks Queen on BBC Breakfast show

Adam Lambert has spoken more about fronting Queen whilst appearing on BBC's Breakfast show this morning (June 27).

The singer is in the UK rehearsing for his summer dates as Queen's temporary singer whilst simultaneously promoting his new solo material.

Lambert appeared on BBC Breakfast today and he spoke openly about working with Queen.

When asked if there are two versions of Adam Lambert - a rockier one and a more dance orientated one - the singer replied:

"It's one. I like to think that I can sing different stuff, and as long as I'm getting the green light from Queen I feel like I'm doing something right. During rehearsals I was very sensitive to not straying too far from the original, but also making it my own. They have been very helpful in making sure there is a nice balance between the two."

Lambert meanwhile took to Twitter soon after his appearance to thank fans for waiting outside for him - but he also criticised those who might have been after getting merchandise signed to sell on eBay. He said:

"Loved seeing fans out front!! You're all so sweet! U pesky boys tryin to get me to sign sh*t for u to sell on eBay? Exploit someone else!"

The Voice creator plots changes to UK show after criticism

The creator of The Voice has admitted that the UK version could be changed for its second series.

The UK version of the show launched on the BBC as a rival to X Factor and also Britain's Got Talent, which ended up as a Saturday night rival.

Speaking to the Radio Times, The Voice creator John De Mol said that he will meet with the BBC to discuss "new ideas" for the series after it came under some criticism from viewers. He said:

"We'll have a meeting with the BBC to come up with some new ideas to make the live shows more exciting. The role of the coaches can be bigger. In the semi-final, the coaches were just watching the talent perform. They had no influence. That's something we should change. On Saturday, it was 100 per cent up to the audience."

De Mol meanwhile remained tight-lipped on the future of the show's four coaches, which includes the likes of Jessie J. He added:

"We'll talk about the coaches with the BBC right after the final this Saturday. As far as I'm concerned we have four great characters but it's too early to say."

Holly Willoughby insists Jessie J isn’t leaving The Voice

The Voice co-presenter Holly Willoughby has insisted that coach Jessie J is not leaving the show.

Rumours have been circulating this week that the ‘Price Tag’ singer may lose her job after reportedly infuriating producers with her demanding behaviour and public criticisms of the series, but Willoughby told the Daily Star that the claims are untrue:

“Jessie’s not leaving the show. But I would be gutted if she left – she’s my favourite judge.

“I have a soft spot for all of them but I would choose to be in Jessie’s category. I’m a bit obsessed. I hold her responsible for being the gel that holds the panel together so well. She doesn’t give the other mentors any option but to have fun.

“She forced the others to raise their game to match hers during the early stages and now they all have great chemistry together.”

The 31-year-old, who co-hosts the BBC show alongside Reggie Yates, also defended the BRIT Award winner over accusations she’s become a diva backstage:

“I think it’s unfair for people to say ‘There’s a strong woman, she’s a bit of a nightmare.' She’s actually not, she’s just dedicated and passionate.

“I’m naturally drawn to women like that because it’s really tough for women to break through in this industry and she has.”

Danny O’Donoghue defends The Voice’s ‘too nice’ approach

The Voice coach Danny O’Donoghue has hit back at critics who describe the show as ‘too nice.’

The BBC series, which has lost nearly six million viewers since it moved from the blind auditions to the live stages, has come under fire for its refusal to criticise contestants, but The Script frontman told The Sun that he’s proud that it doesn’t resort to the cruelty of other talent shows:

“The stance we’ve taken is that you can deliver bad news in a good way. Maybe it’s not great for ratings but we had a 17-year-old on our show and she wasn’t great. Are we going to destroy her so she couldn’t walk down the street? Absolutely not.

“I’m not there to say ‘You’re s***, get off. I give them constructive criticism. I know it doesn’t make for good TV. I don’t want to bring people to tears. Who wants to see a kid cry?”

The 31-year-old, whose remaining group of four singers will be whittled down to two later tonight, also claimed that he’s not too concerned with the show’s falling ratings:

“This happens everywhere. It starts off explosive but then, when it goes to the lives, there’s a big drop. It happens. But the trend is it goes back up.

“It’s the BBC’s first time around with the show so we’re learning every week. We’re still tinkering with the format but no one is going, ‘Oh no! The ratings — we’re all jumping ship’. We’re really proud of the show.”

Fun Lovin' Criminals singer and radio personality Huey Morgan has apologised after launching into a Twitter rant last night (May 14) against the UK radio scene.

Morgan was nominated in the Music Radio Personality of the Year gong at the Sony Radio Academy Awards, with Chris Evans the eventual winner - whilst Fearne Cotton and Lauren Laverne also picked up awards on the night.

The BBC 6 Music presenter however took to Twitter to voice his displeasure, saying:

Taking to Twitter this morning (May 15), Morgan apologised for his comments and said that he is looking to quit the social networking website as a result. He said:

Queen’s Brian May has revealed that Freddie Mercury will appear as an ‘optical illusion’ during a special performance of hit musical 'We Will Rock You.'

The legendary guitarist, whose band recently announced a new show with temporary frontman Adam Lambert, told the BBC that “people will come out saying, 'did we actually see Freddie?'" when the spectacle takes place at London’s Dominion Theatre on May 14.

The 64-year-old refused to describe the stunt as a ‘hologram’ but went onto express his disappointment that Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre had used a similar tactic to bring Tupac Shakur back to life during their set at Coachella last month:

"It's a little unfortunate they did that thing with Tupac as we've been trying to make Freddie appear on the stage for quite a while.

“[That technique] is something we've looked at ourselves but I think probably for a show that runs eight shows a week it's not really quite practical."
