It's been a month of big news from The Saturdays hitmaker as she announced her engagement to footballer Wayne Bridge back in April after dating him for some time, and she took to her official Twitter page a few minutes ago (May 2) to share the wonderful information:

"Some big news from me today! Wayne and I are having a baby. We are both SO happy and can't wait for his or hers arrival! 😬❤"

A message was also posted from the girl group's collective Twitter page, which read: "Lots and lots of love to @FrankieTheSats and Wayne on their big news!! The Sats family is growing and we are SO thrilled for them! xx"

Her bandmate Una Healy, who is also a mother to one-year-old Aoife Belle (pictured below), congratulated Sandford publicly this afternoon and tweeted: "So happy and excited for our @FrankieTheSats and Wayne's baby news!! X"

The Saturdays' Rochelle Humes is also pregnant although she is due to give birth this month and it will be her first child with husband Marvin Humes, formerly of boyband JLS.

Una Healy's husband on how he chose to date her: 'I picked her from a TV line up'

Rugby star Ben Foden has revealed that the story of how he came to meet his now wife Una Healy, of The Saturdays fame, is a rather unsual one.

During an interview with Attitude magazine, the hunk explained that he had been lamenting his love live with an agent when The Saturdays appeared on the TV in the pub they were in so he pointed at her and said that she would be a great girlfriend:

"I'd been having lunch in a pub with my agent when he asked about my love life, and I was, 'Oh, non existent.'"

"He asked me if there was anyone I was thinking about, then The Saturdays popped up on the music channel in the corner, and I said, 'Oh, the one with the blue tights.' And the next thing I know, I've got a text saying, 'She's expecting your call.'"

The pair got married back in the summer of last year and now have a one-year-old daughter together named Aoife Belle.

Debut soundtrack release from thenewno2 (featuring Dhani Harrison)

Soundtrack release: Beautiful Creatures Original Motion Picture Soundtrack
Label: Watertower / Sony Music
Release date: February 12 2013
Listen: on SoundCloud

Critically acclaimed thenewno2 have announced the release of their debut original score and soundtrack forBeautiful Creatures. Beautiful Creatures Original Motion Picture Soundtrack (WaterTower Music) will be available February 12 both digitally and through all major retailers. The soundtrack features an original score and two unreleased thenewno2 tracks, including Run To Me with Ben Harper and Liela Moss (The Duke Spirit) as well asNever Too Late also featuring Liela Moss. Beautiful Creatures Original Motion Picture Soundtrack is the companion to the February 14 theatrical release of Alcon Entertainment’s Beautiful Creatures, directed by Oscar nominee Richard LaGravenese from his adaptation of the first novel in the best-selling series by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl. The film stars Alden Ehrenreich, Alice Englert, Academy Award winner Jeremy Irons, Oscar nominee Viola Davis, Emmy Rossum, Thomas Mann and Academy Award winner Emma Thompson.

thenewno2 (whose 2012 sophomore album thefearofmissingout was praised by NPR Music for radiating a “restless energy that helps it sound both independent-minded and eager to please”) is led by Grammy Award winner Dhani Harrison, three-time Grammy Award winner Paul Hicks and composer Jonathan Sadoff. Always expanding their collective, thenewno2 enlisted close to a dozen talented musicians to showcase their talents throughout their original score, including Ben Harper, Liela Moss and Tony Hicks (The Hollies), father of Paul Hicks.

thenewno2 created the score over an extensive three-month period in both their hometown studio in Santa Monica, CA and in London, England, where they recorded in the famed Abbey Road’s Studio 2 with a 54-piece London based orchestra. While this was Harrison’s first time recording at Abbey Road, this was a homecoming for Paul Hicks. His 12-year tenure at Abbey Road included producing Let It Be Naked and working on the acclaimed Beatles re-masters, as well working with artists such as Paul Weller, Manic Street Preachers and Placebo.

In dreaming up the score, LaGravenese wanted a sound for Beautiful Creatures that he had not heard before. thenewno2 delivered a melody-driven soundscape that infused electronica and modern rock with a Southern Gothic sultriness, creating a new genre they dubbed ‘swamptronica.’ “Their ideas, their excitement and their creativity knocked me out,” says LaGravenese of thenewno2. Marveling at the score’s melodic power and richness of sound, LaGravenese deems thenewno2 no mere musical outfit, but “three composers forming one unit, each with a distinct, savant-like talent, with equal parts genius and madness.”

In anticipation of the release, the band is currently streaming Never Too Late. Listen and embed viaSoundCloud or www.thenewno2.com.

Belle Phoenix is set to be one of 2011’s most exciting breakthrough artists

“…Irony-tinged stories of living like a cactus, coffee & cigarettes, New York life on a bed of post-punk shoegaze…” Club Fandango

‘…explosive and beautiful…at points like Nick Cave, preaching and barking, at others punk-invigorated ala Iggy Pop and Siouxsie Sioux…Belle’s set ricocheted off multiple influences like a stray bullet in a Western film – before settling into the heart of its target.’ The Music Cupboard

Dark, enigmatic, beautiful and unique – Australian native Belle Phoenix is a singer, songwriter and aspiring poet and she arrives kicking and screaming onto the UK music scene like a desperately needed shot in the arm - an anti-dote to the current epidemic of bland & sterile female pop stars infecting our airwaves, TV screens, magazines and daily lives with safe, middle of the road personality free drivel.

Likened in spirit to PJ Harvey, Johnny Cash and The Sex Pistols, Belle’s spaghetti western stylized rhetoric on her new album ‘Nine Lives’ deals passionately in tales of love, death, irony and humour – all wrapped up in a sexually deviant package of artistic expression and creative conviction. The story of Belle Phoenix is as intriguing as her music….

As a child Belle was brought up on a steady diet of choice cuts borrowed from her parent’s diverse record collection and it was this early influence from her discovery of artists like Jimi Hendrix, The Doors, Bob Dylan and The Rolling Stones that she was inspired to teach herself guitar in an attempt to imitate her heroes. As her love affair with music steadily grew, it was the punk movement above all others that seemed to call out loudest and indulging in albums by The Clash, The Ramones, The Cure and Joy Division shaped the future path she would take in her own music.

A period of time spent squatting in a band rehearsal studio (that doubled up as punk commune) whilst dabbling in heavy use of drink & drugs as a typical teenage punk loving rebel bought her into contact with real gigging musicians on a daily basis. Waking up on the studio floor day after day as band members dragged amps and equipment around her inspired Belle to drop out of school, head first to Melbourne and then to Brisbane trying to form a band around her vocal talents and developing song writing ability.

A brief stint in LA followed before a return to Sydney bought about a record deal with Warner/Chappell but bad luck was to follow as the label folded just after the first single was released to radio. Determined to carry on, and stick one to her over protective producer/manager, Belle took 10 demos of her own material and fled to New York where she started to record an album with producer Mark Plati (David Bowie, The Cure, Robbie Williams)."It was the middle of winter 2007 and going from 40 degrees Celsius to - 30 was tough and also invigorating as I felt I was finally honouring myself and my expression without having someone forcing me into a mold.”

Inspired by stories of war, child sex trafficking and meditation (Belle spent time as part of a Sikh cult) the album ‘The Glorious Dead’ was born and Belle was able to form a band, move out of the Aussie run hostel she had been staying after spending all her money on recording and tour across Australia, Germany and the UK (playing to 20,000 people at the ROX festival main stage) before arriving in London after successfully applying for a Finnish passport (her father was from Finland).

Now settled in Camden, and with a brand new backing band formed in the UK, Belle is readying her next collection of twisted, schizophrenic & eccentrically brilliant personal notes to a nation of lost souls. ‘Nine Lives’ is a wonderfully imagined record, the kind of record Quentin Tarentino might well use to serenade Karen O or Patti Smith to join him for a perfectly choreographed foxtrot during an Andy Warhol hosted party at The Factory . Sinister in its melody yet disarming in its projected innocence, more than anything ‘Nine Lives’ is a breathtaking confessional journey into the very depths of a troubled but gifted musical soul.

Belle Phoenix is set to be one of 2011’s most exciting breakthrough artists – her debut UK album ‘Nine Lives’ is released on Monday April 4th 2011 through Old Crow Misery Records.
