Sir Elton John picks Lady Gaga as godmother for second time

Sir Elton John has chosen Lady Gaga to be the godmother of his second child.

The 'Born This Way' singer is already the godmother to the singer's first child, Zachary, who was born in 2010.

In January, John and partner David Furnish became the parents of Elijah after he was born via surrogate.

It seems Gaga has made so much of an impression on the couple that they have asked her to be their new child's godmother too. Elton John told Extra:

"She's a great role model, she's young, [and] she's been a great godmother to Zachary. We're all bonkers in this business, but we're human beings at the same time."

British rapper Wiley rates Emeli Sandé more than Adele.

The Scottish songstress - who scooped Best British Female and the coveted Best British Album awards at this year's BRITs - features on the star's album.

Wiley says the 'Clown' singer deserves her burgeoning success in the US too.

Speaking to Digital Spy he revealed: "Yeah but she deserves it. Listen to this - I rate her more than Adele. I like Adele but I rate Emeli more. Adele is sick but Emeli is against odds. A lot of people thought she wouldn't go anywhere and she did. I didn't think England would accept her."

Wiley also weighed in on fellow rap star Dizzee Rascal's new music.

He explained: "I've only heard 'Bassline Junkie'. I know that it's pop - I saw him tweet something along those lines about it. It'll probably be along the lines of 'Bonkers', but that's how it is."

Foals recall 'Late Night' video near death experience

Indie rockers Foals recently travelled to Romania to shoot the extremely-NSFW video for 'Late Night' and revealed that one of the scenes almost became a frightening reality.

The band worked with director Nabil, who has previously collaborated with Frank Ocean and Kanye West, and one of the segments tells the story of a man committing suicide, but Foals were shocked to discover that an on-set accident almost brought the tale to life:

"In the suicide scene the guy actually hung himself by mistake, which was pretty bonkers. We were watching it on the screens next door and it was really realistic, we thought he was doing an amazing job acting. Then he started clawing at the belt and went all limp. Nabil had his head in his hands and we all thought we had killed a Romanian dude."

Drummer Jack Bevan joked that the sex scenes may have also been real, adding: "There's sex. Possibly actual sex, nobody really knows. At first it wasn't, but who knows by the end? That was happening in the room next to us so we were about 10 feet away watching a couple who had never met one another sort of maybe having actual sex."

Dizzee Rascal on Olympic performance: 'Not thinking about the audience of 1 billion helped me stay calm'

'Dance Wiv Me' hitmaker Dizzee Rascal has revealed that he didn't think about how many people would tune in to his Olympic performance because it would have made him nervous.

Speaking to BBC Breakfast earlier today (August 10), he explained that the estimated 1 billion people figure was so intimidating that he kept himself grounded and calm by focusing on the event itself and his dancers:

"I wasn't thinking about the billion people. To me, I wasn't even thinking about the people around me in the stadium too much."

"I kind of knew I was performing to the dancers, because they had so much energy, and so much positivity, so I was kind of performing to them. And that just kind of made it easier."

He has also released a new track, 'Scream', to commemorate the Olympics and added that it's been a fantastic thing to be involved in because it helps bring communities together:

"I don't know about the whole community, because obviously, over there, in the estate where I'm from, some people don't feel a big part of it."

"But it is a time when the world's coming together, it's a good time for some realisation. I didn't want it to be about, 'yeah, winning, winning, winning.' I want it to be positive but I want people to know about what's going on in the world."

Dizzee Rascal admits he’s baffled at hero status

Dizzee Rascal has admitted that he’s baffled why so many UK hip-hop artists treat him as a hero.

The 27-year-old, who last night performed at Radio 1’s Hackney Weekend as the Special Guest, told the Daily Star that he’s flattered but puzzled that he’s held in such high regard by the likes of Tinie Tempah and Professor Green:

“I don’t know how I’ve got this tag as ‘the urban godfather’ because I just do my thing. It’s an honour if people see me as an inspiration but when I’m in the studio it’s all about what my next step is.

“If Pass Out by Tinie comes on in a club, I’m right there on the dancefloor. I’m not thinking: ‘Hmm, has my music inspired him?’”

The ‘Bonkers’ star, who recently re-recorded his cover of Tears For Fears’ Shout for England’s Euro 2012 campaign, also revealed that while he may have been quiet of late, he’s been busy working on the follow-up to 2009’s ‘Tongue ‘N’ Cheek.’

“I’ve been out of the game but as well as chilling I’ve been constantly working on the album.

“It’s only other people who think I’ve been away, as I’ve still been busy.”

Amid reports that Prince Harry was busting moves to the hit track 'Bonkers' at the royal wedding reception, UK rapper Dizzee Rascal thinks he should be honoured for introducing the young prince to "break-dancing".

Speaking to Sky News, the BRIT award-winning star said how great it was to think of the royals getting down to his music:

"I'm loving that royalty are getting down and break-dancing and I'm the cause of it."

"It's an achievement in itself - someone needs to give me an award or a plaque."

Dizzee is currently touring the UK to promote a brand new contest run by search engine Bing, called 'Your Britain', which aims to expose the true beauty of the country as portrayed in amateur photography. He said of the competition:
