The band's roadie, who regularly updates the official blog, explained that the setlist is so great the guys are struggling to find space to alter it for each show, but that's the only issue they're having on the extensive string of dates:

"The possibilities keep appearing left and right for great additions, but the set right now is so killer that it's tough to work out where to make substitutions. I'd call that a good problem to have."

He also commented on Coldplay's dynamic as a band and admitted that they're on top form:

"They're most definitely in the zone right now. They also played around with something from a long way back. It's all a sign of a band very much alive and enjoying themselves."

News of Yauch's death broke yesterday after he battled with cancer for a number of years.

Speaking to the New York Times, Adam Yauch's mother Frances said that her son was a "courageous" person and that his death was largely unexpected - it all "seemed to happen overnight". She said:

"He was a very courageous person. He fought a long battle with cancer. He was hopeful to the very end...It all just seemed to happen overnight...He was a terrific guy and had a brief but really wonderful life. We are really proud of him."

As previously reported, Coldplay performed a tribute to Yauch last night (May 4) in the US, playing a piano led version of '(You Gotta) Fight For Your Right (To Party)'.

Yauch sadly passed away yesterday (May 4) after suffering from cancer since 2009.

He was a co-founder of the seminal rap trio, respected by many across the music industry.

Coldplay today (May 5) posted a video of themselves performing the Beastie Boys track whilst playing in America last night.

They put their own slant on the song as they paid homage to Yauch.

The music business meanwhile has been expressing its sadness at the news of Yauch's death, with the rock, rap and pop world coming together to pay tribute to the MC.

The ear condition is common in musicians and people who spend large quantities of time in loud environments and is identified by a constant ringing sound and persistent earache.

Speaking to Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper, Martin explained that despite trying to protect himself from further damage it appears to be irreversible:

"I've had tinnitus for about 10 years, but since I started protecting my ears it hasn't got any worse... The band use moulded filter plugs, or in-ear monitors. You can use industrial headphones but they look strange at a party."

"Looking after your ears is unfortunately something you don't think about until there's a problem. I wish I'd thought about it earlier."

Coldplay are due to perform a series of headlining concerts in the UK in June in support of their latest album, 'Mylo Xyloto'.

The Bajan sensation explained to Access Hollywood that she wants to come up with an aftershave that captures the essence of a man and wants it to have the same impact as when "you spray it on their jackets and take it with you just to keep them there":

"I am making my own male fragrance. I want dudes to smell like [when] you wake up, you know that smell."

"[When] their cologne is a little bit old, you spray it on their jackets and take it with you just to keep them there. It smells cosy and it smells sexy."

When asked about the importance of a man's scent, Rihanna confessed that it turns her head in a way that physical appearance simply doesn't:

"If I see you and look good, chances are you won't turn my head. I will look away. But if you smell good, I will whip my neck around!"

The British band and the Bajan beauty previously teamed up on the track 'Princess of China', which featured on Coldplay's 2011 album 'Mylo Xyloto'.

Speaking to ET Canada, Martin rated Rihanna as the third best lady in the world - after wife Gwyneth Paltrow, who took up No.1 and No.2, of course.

However, Rihanna's got competition from Beyoncé and Cameron Diaz, who take joint third. Martin said:

"I think she's the third most attractive lady in the world. My first and second is the same person [Gwyneth], she gets two. Rihanna's a distant third. Cameron Diaz is up there as well, she's third. There's a few thirds, Beyoncé is third as well? Naming all these great ladies. This is a silly conversation! This is going to be the headline, I've just screwed up the whole interview."

The group, who have now unveiled an exciting 'Princess of China' video featuring collaborator Rihanna, will take the stage on the popular televised talent contest next week and tweeted the news to their followers earlier this afternoon:

"Coldplay will perform two songs on @AmericanIdol on 3 May. We have 100 tickets to give away to the recording."

The 'Fix You' hitmakers are also offering fans the chance to win tickets for the performance and have posted information about the giveaway on their official website:
