The 'Heaven' hitmaker, who recently collaborated with Professor Green on his chart-topping single 'Read All About It', was presented with the Breakthrough Artist Award at the ceremony which is also known as the Tartan Clefs. 

Writing on her official Twitter page about the win, Sandé thanked her fans for the continued recognition:

"I won the breakthrough artist award!! whoohoooo!! Thanks guys! And thank you tartan clef awards I had an awesome night :)"

The band are set to play a very special Christmas gig at Camden's famous 500-capacity Dingwalls venue for BBC Radio 2 In Concert and it will be broadcast on December 15. Writing on their official website earlier this afternoon, November 17, the band explained:

"We're very pleased to announce that Coldplay will perform a special Christmas show at London's Dingwalls venue for BBC Radio 2 In Concert, which will be broadcast on Thursday, 15 December (having been recorded a few days earlier). The show will be broadcast on Radio 2, which you can listen to online worldwide."

Tickets to the show are free and will be available to apply for through Radio 2's official website between November 24-28. Dingwalls is a venue close to the band members' hearts and they added:

"Dingwalls is the Camden venue which was hired by Coldplay's first manager (and now fifth member) Phil Harvey while he was still a student, for a Coldplay show on 25 May 1998. The money raised that night helped pay for the recording of the band's first release, The Safety EP."

In a new interview with Maxim, the band's frontman Chris Martin explained that Beyoncé's A&R team rejected a song he had written for her so he penned 'Princess of China' for Rihanna instead and luckily it got picked up:

"Well, I did write a song for Beyoncé, but it got rejected by her A&R people. And the one I wrote for Rihanna didn't get rejected."

In an interview with Ryan Seacrest, she says that her second single from her soon-to-be released album, 'Talk That Talk', is "infectious":

"This is one of those records, it becomes very addictive...To me, it's very infectious: the more you listen to it, the more you want to listen to it. It had a reggae vibe, but it's a sweet little love letter. I love the record. It's kind of dirty, I love it".

"Talk That Talk" will be the sixth album from the Barbadian singer. It is to be released on November 21 and the 23-year-old can't contain her excitement:

"I'm so excited it's done. I feel so great...The snippets came out and people are really reacting. I know the songs that I love, and to see people react to them the same way that I do ... I got excited like I never heard it".

Speaking exclusively to The Sun's Something For The Weekend, the 'Heaven' star explained that working with Alicia Keys and Professor Green have been real highlights and the exposure she's gained through these collaborations has been priceless:

"Working with Stephen (Professor Green) I've noticed younger fans, even kids. When you write for Susan Boyle and go on Jools you expect an older audience. But I want to reach everyone and cover different audiences. I write as honestly as I can. I'm not cool, I don't fit into any genre."

"I was quite nervous to meet Alicia but she's a very cool girl, very humble. She's no diva and super intelligent. Our priority was to write great songs. I had to forget she was a multi-million-selling artist but it all worked out."

Referring specifically to her time in the studio with 'Fallin'' hitmaker Keys, Sandé added:

"We wrote a song called Hope — which is hoping that the world changes as people are very removed from their feelings now — and another called One Hundred And One. They're really beautiful songs and we're very like-minded. Even if she wasn't Alicia Keys it would've been a great session."

The band, who are set to rock arenas around the country with 'Mylo Xyloto' in December, will perform a series of exciting concerts at some of the UK's biggest venues next summer.

The impressive vocalist, who most recently collaborated with Professor Green on his chart-topping single 'Read All About It', will open for the 'Paradise' superstars in Glasgow, London, Paris, Cologne, Rotterdam, Antwerp, Frankfurt and Berlin.

She tweeted about the fantastic announcement this morning (November 4): "Exciting news! -- I'll be opening up for @coldplay on their European tour!!!"

This is the second album from the 'Shake It Up' singer which was just released on Monday (October 31) and it has knocked Coldplay's 'Mylo Xyloto' from the top position down to number two.

Another new entry in the top five is Professor Green, whose new album, 'At Your Inconvenience', entered the charts at number three. He sits just above Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds self-titled album at number four and Michael Bublé's festive album, 'Christmas', which holds the number five position.
