"SiriusXM's Town Hall with Coldplay," the two-hour broadcast event, will air live on The Spectrum, channel 28, on Wednesday, November 9 at 12:00 pm ET. The special is part of SiriusXM's "Town Hall" series, an intimate gathering with an iconic musician and a studio audience of SiriusXM listeners. Previous "SiriusXM Town Hall" specials have featured Bruce Springsteen, the surviving members of Nirvana and Tom Petty.

The "SiriusXM Town Hall with Coldplay" will feature the band answering questions from the live studio audience as well as questions from listeners calling in from around the country.

On Friday, October 21, SiriusXM will launch "Coldplay Radio," a limited-run channel hosted by the members of Coldplay. The channel will feature music from Mylo Xyloto, the band's latest album, scheduled to be released on October 24, as well as songs spanning the band's career and music by artists selected by Coldplay.

"Coldplay Radio" will also include a classic Coldplay performance, recorded in 2000, which will be broadcast as part of SiriusXM's "Live from the BBC Vault" concert series. "Coldplay Radio" will air through Sunday, October 23.

These three huge acts – who are each up for multiple EMAs this year – join previously announced performer Red Hot Chili Peppers. Hosted by multi-talented singer and actress Selena Gomez, the "2011 MTV EMA" will take place on Sunday, November 6th at 9PM CET* in Belfast, Northern Ireland. Californian rockers Red Hot Chili Peppers were the first band to be announced, but now Coldplay, Jessie J and LMFAO have all been added to the bill for this year's exciting ceremony. 

The eclectic mix of acts will take the stage on November 7 at Belfast's Odyssey Arena and Bruce Gillmer, Executive Vice President of Talent and Music Programming/Events for Viacom International Media Networks, said:

"We're really excited to celebrate Belfast and its rich musical heritage by showcasing MTV EMA performances from multiple sites throughout the city. These three stages will give fans a unique and unprecedented opportunity to experience the live music of the EMA."

The 'Fix You' stadium superstars will rock the University of East Anglia in Norwich on October 27 as part of the road show and their performance will be broadcast live around the world. Tickets for the event are only £20 so they are expected to sell at a record rate. 

Fans hoping to get their hands on a pair of tickets will have to be at UEA's Student Union building by 9am on Saturday, October 15. 

The other acts taking part in Radio 1's Student Tour are Example, Kasabian and Noah & The Whale, and they will perform at other higher education facilities including Aberdeen, Hatfield and Leicester. More information can be found on Radio 1's official website.

The 'Fix You' superstars are set to rock Madrid on October 26 and the entire show will be directed by photographer and filmmaker Anton Corbijn.

A statement on the band's website explains that the gig will be shown in no less than 22 countries and frontman Chris Martin explained:

"Anton Corbijn has been a big hero to us for a long long time so we're thrilled to be beaming this concert out to the world through his lens. We can’t wait to share this experience with him and with all of our fans watching ‘American Express Unstaged’ around the world. It's going to be big.” 

"Until we can come to a video as good as 'Single Ladies' by Beyoncé, we have to rely on just the meat and vegetables of playing songs live, and this is just a nice way of doing it for a few more people at once."

The 'Fix You' stars recently revealed that intimate venues always mean that there's more heat and, in turn, smell worse. The group's frontman, Chris Martin, told coldplay.orange.fr that he prefers the space that comes with performing at a stadium:

"In the smaller places people can smell you more, which is a bad thing, because we get hot. A stadium is, in some ways, easier because no one is offended by the way you smell."

"But there are also advantages to smaller venues, there's a lot of firey energy and even slow songs sound very powerful and, of course, I love seeing my favourite artists in small places. In the small shows you can see every person's facial expressions, you can see if they are on their mobile phone, you can see everything, so it's a bit more nerve wracking."
