Speaking exclusively to Digital Spy, the 'Beautiful Monster' hitmaker explained that initially he just wrote a song that was intended for her, but they ended up partnering in the studio and sang on a track together:

"The first time I worked for her I wrote a song for her, which in itself was surreal. This time around I actually did a duet with her - it's her and me on one song, which was a challenge to say the least! I was trying to figure what I was even doing there - why would they need my voice when they have hers?"

Ne-Yo added that being asked to record vocals with her was a 'flattering' moment because she is so talented with such an impressive range: "She wanted to do the song as a duet and I was flattered, but it definitely made me question my vocal ability."

Meanwhile, Ne-Yo has also been working with Beyoncé on her forthcoming new cut and recently revealed that her final tracklisting includes a couple of his songs.

The US rapper has long been rumoured to have worked with the likes of the 'Born This Way' star, but nothing has yet been forthcoming.

She was, in particular, linked to the rumoured track 'Ratchet', which is said to feature Banks, Gaga and Beyoncé.

Speaking to George FM, Banks did confirm that she has worked with the female duo - but she confirmed it is not on the song 'Ratchet'. The rapper said:

"I like working by myself, not to say I don't like collaborating with other people but, like, I never know what to do."

She continued: "I can't really like absorb the vibe or I can - you know - I'm lying, because I've collaborated with Lady GaGa, Beyoncé and Kanye West."

She explained that they met while appearing on Jools Holland's TV show and forged a friendship, which would be made even better if they could collaborate on a track together:

"I really want to do a duet with Jake Bugg but I'm just trying to get hold of him. He's quite busy as well, so we're trying to sort it out. Hopefully it will happen. I first met him on Jools Holland and then we became friends, I see him quite a lot."

Faith and Bugg also have grievances with boyband One Direction in common. The quirky songstress recently complained at how much the lads are charging for their concert tickets while Bugg got into an online scuffle with Louis Tomlinson after criticising the boyband's integrity.

He is going to team up with YouTube to create 'You Generation', which is going to be an internet-based talent show for people with "unconventional and original talents" as well as musicians, photographers, and make-up artists.

The contest will span a year and is due to kick off on March 20, with participants from 26 different countries using 15 languages being able to submit themselves for consideration. YouTube will hold the auditions and professionals from Cowell's Syco label are confirmed to judge them.

A spokesperson from Syco said in a statement: "The channel offers people with unconventional and original talents the opportunity to have their talent recognised by the world and become the next internet star."

They added that 'You Generation' boasts "the first global audition process, giving people the chance to show off their outstanding skills and win amazing prizes - simply by uploading a video."

The Canadian star is due to release the track 'Right Here' as the next cut from his 2012 record 'Believe'.

It follows on from the likes of previous singles 'Boyfriend' and 'Beauty and a Beat', which were released to pop acclaim last year.

Bieber has now released the lyric clip for 'Right Here', which features US star Drake.

As previously reported, the 'Believe' star turned heads recently by wearing a black gas mask whilst out shopping in London.

It is unclear whether he wore the accessory to disguise himself or to create even more attention.

The hit solo artist and producer confirmed to the Daily Star that he is hoping to team up with the X Factor 2012 winner - but he's unsure whose album it will feature on.

Labrinth added he is a big fan of the 'Impossible' star and that he is looking forward to sharing some creative juices. He said:

"I love James. Hopefully we'll get in the studio and do something. I don't know if it'll be for my album or his but we're excited to work together."

Arthur meanwhile has been busy recently on the X Factor Live Tour, where he performed alongside the likes of Rylan Clark and Union J.

The singer won the X Factor 2012 series, beating off competition from runner-up Jahmene Douglas.

The somewhat unlikely coming together took place in a recording studio as the electronic pioneers worked on their new record 'Delta Machine'.

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Depeche Mode's Dave Gahan revealed that they got a surprise invitation from Ocean, who was in the same building at the time.

They even worked together on a track, which could feature on Ocean's next album. Gahan said:

"Suddenly in the doorway, I sensed this presence, and I realised there was this guy standing there just watching. An assistant came up to me in between songs and said, 'Do you mind? Frank Ocean is here working in another studio and really wants to meet you guys.' I wouldn't have thought he would have even known who we are, but it turns out he's a big fan."

He continued: "Martin [Gore] and Christoffer Berg ended up doing a track with him, which I think is going to be part of his new record. Martin did some electronics and some modular synthesiser stuff he really wanted."

Ocean's debut album 'Channel Orange' was released in 2012 and he recently revealed that he is well on his way to creating his next record.

The somewhat unlikely combination was revealed by the Irishman on Twitter last night (February 17), but it is still unclear what the session was for.

Horan said that he was in a studio with Young, who sings and plays guitar in the indie-rock quartet. The 'Kiss You' man revealed:

"In the studio with Justin from @therealvaccines writing and also I love chocolate milk!"

The One Direction star meanwhile took to Twitter today (February 18) to thank his band's fans for their support as they release this year's Comic Relief charity single - a cover of Blondie's 'One Way Or Another'. He added:

"The reaction to the new single is amazing! Thank you all so much for all your help! Its all goin to an amazing cause."

When asked by Yahoo! OMG who she would like to work with in the future, she explained that it's an easy answer because she wants to try something new and "fun", which the One Direction lads would be perfect for:

"One Direction - it would nice to do something fun and young!”

She also confirmed that she's been working on brand new material both in America and the UK, adding: “[I’m] definitely back in the studio I have been recording in my home studio and have recorded material in the US."

“I am in regular communication with my fans and album number 3 will be full of surprises and I can't wait until it is released for you guys to hear it!”

The singer is due to feature in a fresh promo clip for a reworked version of the will.i.am hit alongside the likes of Lil Wayne and Diddy.

The former X Factor USA judge had previously tweeted a photo of herself from the video ahead of its official unveiling on Friday (February 15).

She has now uploaded a new photo from the clip, which sees Spears looking resplendent in a black outfit.

A new promotional image for the video meanwhile has also been released, which shows all the song's stars - which also includes Hit-Boy and Waka Flaka Flame - standing for the camera.
