Scotland's The Daily Record newspaper reports that she collapsed around 9pm, just as the band took to the stage, and her friends raised the alarm among the 50,000 strong crowd. The woman was treated at the scene, but was later taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary where she sadly died.

A Police Scotland ­spokesman explained to the press: “Just after 9pm we received a report that a 24-year-old woman had fallen while attending the Stone Roses concert."

“Emergency services attended and the woman was treated at the venue before being taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary where she was pronounced dead. A postmortem will be carried out.”

The BBC confirmed that "several dozen" unrelated arrests were made at the event mainly for anti-social behaviour and drugs offences.

The British singer has spoken about the 'Kiss You' group in the past and he mentioned how he sees part of his former self in the young group.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, Williams said that he likes to keep tabs on the progress of the boyband after performing with them on the X Factor in 2010.

The 'Take The Crown' man added that he is also envious of Harry Styles' alleged romantic deviances. When asked if he still thinks of them like 'showbiz brothers', Williams replied:

"They are. I sang 'She’s The One' with them on The X Factor, so I've seen various stages of their growth. And I've been a member of One Direction, as it were. So I like seeing how they’re doing. Following Harry and his many romances and being slightly envious. Checking out their new tattoos and me showing them my new tattoos. I’m in the One Direction bad tattoo club. I have bad tattoos – so do they."

A story emerged recently that saw the X Factor 2012 star pictured holding Nelson's birthday cake following a night out at a London club on Wednesday (June 12).

He apparently threw bits of the cake at paparazzi before giving it back in pieces to the supposedly disgruntled Little Mix singer.

However, Shelley told Digital Spy that no harm was caused and the whole incident has been misconstrued. He said:

"I don't know if you saw on the Daily Mail this morning? It was Jesy from Little Mix's birthday yesterday. The other girls made her a birthday cake and we all left the club - me, Jesy and Sonny from the Loveable Rogues - and Sonny threw a bit of cake in my face. So I thought, 'Right, I'm going to get him back'. I picked up a bit of the cake and went to throw it at him in front of the paps."

The 'Carry You' man added: "They all took a photo of me with this cake in my hand looking really angry, and then another picture of Jesy hiding away from the paps. This story has come out of it like I'm some kind of cake-destroying maniac who throws cake at paparazzi! The best thing about it is that the paps took a picture of the cake on the side of the road and they were like, 'George later dumped it on the side of the road'. I'm like, 'No, I didn't see the cake!'."

As previously reported, Courtney Webb recently claimed that she bedded the One Direction star at his house - and even had phone photos of the star apparently sleeping to prove it.

Naturally, the report prompted speculation over the future of Malik and girlfriend Perrie Edwards, who sings in Little Mix.

It all seems to have riled over-protective One Direction fans on Twitter, with some sending death threats to the waitress. One user said:

"Courtney Webb....if the end of Zerrie ..is cause of you. WE WILL FIND YOU AND WE WILL KILL YOU. NUFF SAID."

Another account posted a message saying: "dear Courtney Webb, we'll kill you - directioners."

The photos taken by Courtney Webb which allegedly show Malik sleeping in bed can be seen below.

She accused the heartthrob of cheating on his girlfriend, Little Mix's Perrie Edwards, on Wednesday and told Britain's The Sun newspaper that she met him on a night out in London, which led to her going back to his house.

Speaking about their late-night encounter, Webb said Malik had told her he was single and she was disgusted when she found out the truth:

"He's an absolute s**t. How dare he - not only to me but to Perrie?" She added: "As soon as we finished having sex he wanted me out of the house and out of the way. His behaviour was disgusting. He was like, 'Get your clothes on, I’ll get you a taxi' (and) he started pulling the cab firm app up on his phone. He treated me like an object.”

Now, the Daily Mail has obtained photos (shown below) taken by Webb that show Malik asleep next to her, in which his tattoos are clearly visible adding weight to her claims.

Over the weekend, Blunt told the Daily Mail that he wants to spend more time on himself now that he's enjoyed a successful run in the music industry over the years and is planning a hiatus:

"I just want to take some time out for myself. I haven’t got any plans to do more songwriting. I have been chilling out since I finished my world tour and I’ve spent a lot of time in Ibiza, where I have a villa."

Following this brief interview, he posted a comical message to his Facebook account that denies his apparent decision to quit music:

"The Mail on Sunday has reported that James Blunt has split up due to musical differences. Neither could be reached for comment due to recording commitments."

The 38-year-old, best-known for his 2005 number one single, ‘You’re Beautiful,’ told the Daily Mail that he now wants to settle down and enjoy the rewards of his success:

"I just want to take some time out for myself. I haven’t got any plans to do more songwriting. I have been chilling out since I finished my world tour and I’ve spent a lot of time in Ibiza, where I have a villa."

The former army officer, who was speaking at the relaunch of London nightclub Barbarella, added that his recent first summer off in seven years with girlfriend Sofia Wellesley inspired his decision:

"Sofia and I had a great time hanging out with friends on my yacht but we partied as well. I do like a good night out and that is why it’s great fun to hang out at Barbarella.” 

The Irish comedian told the Daily Mail that despite her reputation, Madonna didn’t act like a diva when he interviewed her on his BBC1 show earlier this year:

“She didn’t make any demands. She came on, and within a few minutes she was on the floor on her hands and knees. She was on a charm offensive.”

The Take That star, who returns to this year’s judging panel alongside Tulisa, Louis Walsh and new recruit Nicole Scherzinger, told the Daily Mail that he was surprised at how rapidly fame went to some finalists’ heads:

“One of the biggest shocks for me last year was how quickly people become lazy once they get into this competition.

“I found myself thinking, ‘Hold on, this is just the start. You haven't made it yet. Even if you win it is just the start.’"

The 41-year-old, who mentored the likes of Frankie Cocozza and Marcus Collins in his first series as a judge, went on to add:

“It is weird – you take people off the street and put them in this bubble and they start to act like they have arrived. You can see them thinking, ‘I was born to do this, I don't have to work at it.’”
