Bruce Foxton Releases New Single Featuring Steve Cropper

BRUCE FOXTON

New single ‘Don’t Waste My Time’ released May 13th

From the album ‘Back In The Room’ released October 2012 on Basstone Recordswww.brucefoxton.com / www.twitter.com/brucefoxton

Bruce Foxton (The Jam/From The Jam/Stiff Little Fingers) returns this year with the second single from his 2012 album ‘Back In The Room’. Soulful and energetic, Uncut Magazine says, “Foxton proves himself adept at Steely Dan smooth jazz on ‘Don’t Waste My Time’”.

Guests on this track include Spandau Ballet’s Steve Norman and ‘60’s soul guitar god’ Steve Cropper (Booker T & the MG’s/The Blues Brothers). Cropper adds his distinctive guitar to the track creating a slice of Motown via Woking, Record Collector commenting, “Steve Cropper’s guitar brings an element of urbane cool to the slick jazzy strut of ‘Don’t Waste My Time’”. Also joining Bruce on this single and throughout the album are Big Country’s Mark Brzezicki and Bruce’s song writing partner, ‘From The Jam’ frontman Russell Hastings.

The album boasts a very special guest on three songs in Paul Weller, who had Bruce as a guest on his 2010 album ‘Wake Up the Nation’ and at a show at the Royal Albert Hall in the same year. Commenting on working again with Paul Weller and having Steve Cropper guesting Bruce said: “It was such a pleasure to work and hang out with Paul again. What an honour to have both Paul and Steve play on the album, I’m at my best when I am part of a band. That’s why making ‘Back In The Room’ has been such a blast.”

Bruce performed some of his new tracks during the set of his very successful ‘From The Jam’ Tour which is still ongoing with extensive dates in the UK. Performing all across Britain including a sold out show at KOKO the new music got a great response from fans. "I still get a buzz from performing live” said Bruce.

Bruce released his album ‘Back In The Room’,via the fan funding site PledgeMusic in October 2012. The classic The Jam sound is alive and well on the album but there is more to Bruce’s solo work. Ranging from a rock ‘n’ roll beat to a surprising folk sound with a pinch of 60’s psychedelia, the soulful jazz at the heart of ‘Don’t Waste My Time’ adds to the mix in the delightfully varied album.

LeAnn Rimes: "I didn't cry over Brandi Glanville attack"

Country songstress LeAnn Rimes has rubbished reports she cried over the recent verbal attack from her husband's ex Brandi Glanville.

The star controversially had an affair with Eddie Cibrian while he was married to reality TV star Glanville - and the two women have been locked in a bitter battle of words ever since.

Earlier this week, Glanville slammed the singer again, telling press at a Q&A for her new book: "She can go f**k herself. Well, she has to, because who would want to?"

Rimes took to Twitter to slam rumours that she was distraught over the comments made by her nemesis.

She revealed: "Boys and girls, I was not crying yesterday at lunch w/ Darrell Brown, Eddie Cibrian, my BFF Liz, and my little dog Toto. We ate and hugged goodbye. I must have been so sad to see all of them go 3 blocks to the establishment where we were all ending up. #givemeabreakwiththebulls**tmeadiaheadlinesandstories Lol thanks for all the sweet concern tough (sic)."

At the event promoting her book, Glanville defended her harsh words about Rimes, gushing: "I loved so hard - I loved my children and my family was perfect. I did everything I could do for [Eddie] and the boys and to make him not want to stray. So, when it happened, especially with someone as unattractive as her [it was tough]."

The ex-wife of LeAnn Rimes' husband Eddie Cibrian has told the singer to "go f*** herself".

Brandi Glanville has a history of exchanging verbal blows with Rimes after she allegedly had an affair with Cibrain whilst she was married to him.

Recently, Glanville called Rimes "insane", with the singer admitting that she was getting fed up of the jibes.

Speaking at a Hollywood Q&A for her book Drinking and Tweeting, Glanville went on the offensive again, saying about Rimes:

"She can go f*** herself. Well, she has to, because who would want to?"

Speaking about her failed marriage to Cibrian, she added:

"I did everything I could do for him and the boys and to make him not want to stray. So, when it happened, especially with someone as attractive as her, [it was tough]. When a man cheats on you it's not about you. It's about notoriety. They want to be with you but they want their cake and eat it too."

LeAnn Rimes has responded to being called "insane".

The singer's mental security was put under question recently by Brandi Glanville - the ex-wife of Rimes' current husband Eddie Cibrian, who married the star in 2011.

Speaking to Jimmy Kimmel on Tuesday (January 22), the singer said that she is getting fed up of the taunts and abuse, revealing:

"I think it's kind of interesting how it seems one-sided most of the time. But then, you know, you just kinda get fed up with people lying about you and you're like...words, here."

She added: "I usually don't engage, but there comes a time when you're just like, 'Screw you'. That's it, and that's all you wanna say and you're like, 'I'm done with this now, for like another three months'."

As previously reported, Rimes recently spoke out against online bullying, admitting that Twitter abuse had a strong effect on her.

LeAnn Rimes boasts about steamy love life

Country star LeAnn Rimes has dished on her steamy love life with husband Eddie Cibrian.

The 30-year-old songstress - who controversially had an affair with the actor while he was married to reality TV star Brandi Glanville - revealed in an interview with Entertainment Tonight that the couple are thinking about starting a family together.

Rimes joked that she is proud of their energetic love life, boasting: ''Have you seen him? [Sex is] whatever time. Any time of the day. Whenever he wants it.''

She added of having children together: ''Yeah ... I think so. That's kind of the talk we've had for awhile now. Who knows? Not right now.''

Eddie shares custody of his sons, nine-year-old Mason and Jake, five.

Rimes also revealed in the same interview that she worries at times about her husband cheating - after she started a relationship with him while he was still married.

She admitted: ''I would be ignorant to say, and everyone else would think I am a liar if I didn't say yes, and I have at times. Speaking for him, I would actually say that's creeped into his mind. I think we've been very honest and open with that to each other and our conversations about it have only made me understand how much he actually cares, as much as I do, about being faithful to each other.''

LeAnn Rimes: "Affair song was emotional"

LeAnn Rimes' new song was written through "a lot of tears" because of the sensitive subject.

The country singer's new single 'Borrowed' is based on her affair with her now husband and Brandi Glanville's ex, Eddie Cibrian.

Rimes says the track was difficult to pen, telling Extra: "I carried that song and that title around with me for about eight months. I was afraid to write it because I knew I had to be incredibly personal… when I did, it was through a lot of tears."

Rimes says her husband's reaction to the song was encouraging, despite the difficult feelings the lyrics brought back for them both.

She gushed: "He is always so supportive, I actually was scared to put him in the song because it does talk about how we both hurt each other. There was a moment where we did have some hurt between the two of us that we had to accept and get over and move forward. And that’s made for an amazing relationship.”

30-year-old Rimes checked herself into a treatment facility back in August to address her anxiety issues, and has previously spoken about her struggle with stress.

She revealed: "I have always had people around me… which was half of what I was working through, what do I do with myself when I’m off the road. I did 500 shows in three years. When I stopped, I would get super anxious.."

Music mogul Simon Cowell has weighed in on rumours that LeAnn Rimes was drunk during her X Factor USA performance.

The country songstress performed a rendition of her hit 'How Do I Live?' alongside finalist Carly Rose Sonenclar on Wednesday night's show, and after her somewhat awkward turn on the stage Rimes was hit by claims that she was intoxicated.

Cowell has rubbished reports Rimes was drunk during the show, instead calling her performance "interesting".

When asked by US website TMZ if he thought the singer was drunk when she took to the mic, he smiled: "No, I think she was just happy."

The X Factor judge also added that LeAnn is welcome back on the show "any time."

Yesterday, Rimes also slammed the speculation, claiming: "I was trying to help this 13-year-old girl who was having some trouble with the song."

LeAnn Rimes: "I wasn't drunk on X Factor"

Country songstress LeAnn Rimes insists she wasn't drunk when she took to The X Factor stage on Wednesday night, contrary to speculation.

The star performed a rendition of her hit 'How Do I Live?' alongside finalist Carly Rose Sonenclar on last night's show, and after her somewhat awkward turn on the stage Rimes was hit by claims that she was intoxicated.

Rimes - who was admitted to rehab for exhaustion and stress earlier this year - insists she wasn't under the influence on the hit TV talent show, telling TMZ: "I was trying to help this 13-year-old girl who was having some trouble with the song."

The star's lawyer, Larry Stein, confirmed that his client was helping out the naive performer, 13, adding: "LeAnn was not performing the way she would normally perform, because she was on stage with a young girl. There have been a lot of untrue things said by others and it feeds into this sort of thing."

Rimes has been embroiled in a public war of words with her husband Eddie Cibrian’s ex-wife Brandi Glanville of late.

The blonde star - who famously had an affair with her now partner - has been labelled “unstable” by Glanville.

LeAnn Rimes: "I was pathetic"

Country songstress LeAnn Rimes has revealed she felt "pathetic" while having an affair with her now husband.

The singer appeared on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno to debut new song 'Borrowed,' which she admitted is based on her affair with her now husband and Brandi Glanville's ex, Eddie Cibrian.

She explained: "The song is about the situation. I did go through a very public affair with Eddie, who is now my wonderful husband."

She added: "I call myself pathetic in the song, because at that moment, I was pathetic. A lot of people who have been in that situation can relate to that...it kills me to give that up. It's a very intimate look into a very rough moment of my life."

Rimes also explained that the track "looks into the darker moments of things."

30-year-old Rimes checked herself into a treatment facility back in August to address her anxiety issues, and has previously spoken about her struggle with stress.

She said: "I’ve been in therapy my whole life. I like going. I like being able to have that third-party input and someone to listen that has nothing to do with your life."

Leann Rimes’ stint in rehab not down to fears of husband cheating

A rep for actor Eddie Cibrian has denied rumours that Leann Rimes’ stint in rehab is down to fears that her husband was having an affair.

The country star checked into a treatment facility on Thursday to help her overcome problems relating to stress and anxiety. But several gossip sites have since reported that her actions were triggered by suspicions that the former Sunset Beach star may be cheating on her.

However, a spokesperson for Cibrian has now told Gossip Cop: “"There is absolutely no truth to that story whatsoever.”

The 39-year-old issued a statement himself following Rimes’ admission, declaring how proud he was of his wife for seeking help:

“My wife is the most remarkable and courageous woman I know. I am so proud of her for having the strength to finally take some time for herself. I will be with her every step of the way."

LeAnn Rimes checks into rehab for anxiety and stress issues

LeAnn Rimes has entered a treatment facility to help her overcome problems relating to "anxiety and stress".

The singer checked into the facility yesterday (August 29) - just one day after her 30th birthday.

She told People magazine that she needs time to herself and the chance to regroup. She said:

"This is just a time for me to emotionally check out for a second and take care of myself and come back in 30 days as the best 30-year-old woman I can be. All the things in my life will be there when I get out, but you know what? I'm hoping they're not going to affect me as much. I'll have the tools to know how to deal with them."

Rimes' representative Marcel Pariseau meanwhile said: "LeAnn has voluntarily entered a 30-day in-patient treatment facility to cope with anxiety and stress. While there will be speculation regarding her treatment, she is simply there to learn and develop coping mechanisms. While privacy isn't expected, it's certainly appreciated. The facility has granted her permission to keep her weekend tour obligations, as LeAnn doesn't want to disappoint her fans. She will report back after each weekend."

The singer's husband Eddie Cibrian, who has been married to Rimes since 2011, added: "My wife is the most remarkable and courageous woman I know. I am so proud of her for having the strength to finally take some time for herself. I will be with her every step of the way."
