With classic swing from Octopus, Blues powerhouse meets hillbilly boogie with Cherry-Lee Mewis, Latin soul party band Cadenas Vivaz, infectious rhythms and lots of toe tapping plus some great Yorkshire humour from the Harri Watts Band, one of the most creative and striking performers currently working on the UK scene Gwyneth Herbert, a celebration of Kenny Ball, performed by his Jazzmen and son Keith Ball, Irelands former Young Guitarist of the Year Simon McBride (who is now ranked among the best blues-rock players anywhere in the world), accomplished piano player Rob Law Quartet with guitarist Thom Whitworth, one of the country's most polished singers Trudy Kerr and her quartet, 'The UK's most exciting and original Blues band' 24 Pesos and finally closing the festival, Ben Beattie's Jazz Essentials with Hall owner and saxophonist Simon Cunliffe-Lister.

Fabulous family camping facilities are also available during the festival in the Hall’s Park Field on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights. The camp-site is set against the backdrop of Burton Agnes Hall with panoramic views of the Yorkshire Wolds and will be open from 3pm on Friday until 12 noon on Monday. Although camping is limited, there is plenty of space and your camping experience should be a happy and relaxing one whilst at Burton Agnes Hall.
With panoramic views of the countryside and Hall and its gardens, with good toilets, free hot showers provided at no extra charge, clearly marked drinking water points, café and shops (in the Hall’s courtyard), we do advise buying vouchers in advance to ensure a pitch.
You are welcome to bring your own food and drink (including alcohol) into the camping areas too and dogs are also permitted in the campsite and the grounds, although they must be kept on a lead.

Taylor Swift spends $17 million on new home

Taylor Swift has bought herself a new home for over $17 million.

The ‘22’ American songstress’ newly acquired Rhode Island house is an 11k-plus-square-foot mansion.

Swift originally viewed the property on April 15. She then revisited it for a second time on April 22 along with her family and real estate agent.

The original cost of the home and the 5.23 acres of land on which it sits was valued at $20 million but the American pop and country music star purchased it for less than the asking price at $17.75 million. She paid the sum in cash.

Taylor’s new property boasts seven bedrooms, nine bathrooms, a five car heated garage, eight fireplaces and an ocean view.

It was recently confirmed that Taylor Swift will play at this year’s Capital FM Summertime Ball which takes place at London’s Wembley Stadium on June 9.

Paul McCartney announces reissue & BAFTA screening

This Spring will see another chapter unfold in the life of Wings, the UK rock group formed by Paul McCartney after the break-up of The Beatles – and one of the most successful bands these Isles have ever produced.

‘Wings over America’ First, the historic live album, which documented the band’s triumphant 1976 tour across North America, will be reissued in a range of formats. Fans and hardcore devotees alike will be especially thrilled with the stunning four-book, four-disc (3CD, 1DVD) Deluxe Edition Box Set. The box set's superior audio and video include the two-disc Wings over America album remastered at Abbey Road, a bonus audio disc recorded live at San Francisco’s Cow Palace, a bonus DVD containing the rarely seen 75-minute television special ‘Wings over the World’ and the photo gallery montage entitled ‘Photographer’s Pass’. Moreover, the Deluxe Edition Box Set contains four exquisitely rendered art books packaged with an incredible array of exclusive memorabilia, souvenirs, mementos, keepsakes and never-before-seen photos and art work from this historic tour. ‘Rockshow’ DVD Release Second, for the first time a DVD will be released by Eagle Rock of the live concert film 'Rockshow' which was shot in 1976 when Paul McCartney & Wings undertook the epic Wings over the World tour which was the largest-scale tour they would ever undertake as a band. Packed with all the classic Wings hits - plus some of The Beatles’ and Paul’s solo classics - the film is released on both DVD and Blu-ray formats. Although filmed on this tour at the enormous Kingdome in Seattle, ‘Rockshow’, originally a cut down version of the concert, was not premiered until November 1980 in New York and April 1981 in London. It was originally released on Betamax (later on laserdisc) but it’s only now that the complete full length concert is being made available fully restored from the original 35mm film and with restored & remastered sound, including a 5.1 mix for the first time.

‘Rockshow’ Theatrical Release And then third, but by no means least, Eagle Rock has partnered with distributors Specticast who are releasing the film theatrically worldwide for a ‘one night only’ event’ on May 15th (see here for more details: http://rockshowonscreen.com) – meaning the film will be shown in more than 500 cinemas across the world! For Wings across America Paul brought with him one the most sophisticated and dazzling rock shows of the mid-Seventies (it was a time when nobody worried about extravagance or expense), and the band would eventually perform to more than 600,000 people at 31 shows in the US and Canada, ending with three mind-bending nights at The Forum in Los Angeles. It’s no exaggeration to say that the demand that greeted Paul McCartney & Wings (Linda McCartney, Joe English, Denny Laine and Jimmy McCulloch) in the spring of 1976 as they embarked on what would become their one and only North American tour was overwhelming. Having released four consecutive chart busting albums including ‘Red Rose Speedway’, ‘Band on the Run’, ‘Venus and Mars’ and ‘Wings at the Speed of Sound’ – not to mention 1973’s Academy Award-winning James Bond theme ‘Live and Let Die’ – Paul’s solo career was in full flight… and having not performed in the States for 10 years either solo or with The Beatles, excitement had reached fever pitch.

Adam Yauch's will forbids use of Beastie Boys music in adverts

The will of late Beastie Boys star Adam Yauch prevents the future use of his music in advertising, it has been revealed.

Yauch, also known as MCA, sadly passed away on May 4 aged 47 after a struggle with cancer.

Rolling Stone reports that his will, which was filed on Tuesday (August 7) in Manhattan Surrogate court, forbids the use of his image, name and "artistic property" for advertising purposes. The will reads:

"Notwithstanding anything to the contrary, in no event may my image or name or any music or any artistic property created by me be used for advertising purposes."

The will names the rapper's wife, Dechen Yauch, as the executor of his estate, with MCA leaving behind his $6.4m wealth to his wife and daughter Tenzin Losel.

Tulisa denies promoting gang culture after making 'C' hand gesture

Tulisa Contostavlos has denied promoting gang culture after she was pictured making a 'C' sign with her hand.

The singer was snapped making the gesture whilst filming her new video in the Church End area of London.

The 'C' symbol is linked to the area's Crime Scene Boys group - but The Sun reports that Tulisa has issued a statement to say that she made the gesture in tribute to her home town Camden. She said:

"I filmed a street video on Sunday night for a track on my album. The video was a collaboration with the rapper Nines. When we were filming on the street loads of other people turned up and joined in the shoot."

Tulisa continued: "When I was holding my hands in the C sign, this was as a tribute to Camden, my home town and where N-Dubz began. I am not aware that this sign has anything to with any street gang and I 100 per cent do not endorse any gang violence in any form."
