The group recently announced a number of tour dates for May, June and July next year as they trawl Europe.

They had only announced one UK date - a show at London's O2 Arena on May 28 - but it sold out within minutes of going on sale today (October 26).

However, Depeche Mode have now added a second date at the venue on May 29 due to popular demand, with tickets on now on sale.

As previously reported, Depeche Mode were forced pull and postpone a number of shows in 2009 after singer Dave Gahan received a cancer diagnosis.

Against all the odds, Europe's team of golfers beat their USA counterparts by one point on Sunday (September 30) to win the Ryder Cup.

Tweeting about the event, Irishman Horan said that the last-minute victory was "amazing" and he added that he has also played on the same Illinois course. He said:

"Cannot believe it! What an amazing win! Soo happy to be a golf fan and be european! And also played that course before!"

Referring to football team Derby's win over Nottingham Forest on the same day, Horan later tweeted:

"Great sporting weekend, derby beat forest,europe win ryder cup! Yeahhh budddieee."

The 'One Thing' star recently played at a charity golf event in his hometown of Mullingar to celebrate his 19th birthday.

The teen star had previously confirmed a batch of England dates due to take place early next year.

They were announced in addition to a mass of North American concerts, which will run from September through to January 2013.

Bieber has now confirmed a concert at Dublin's O2 on February 17.

It will take place four days before the Canadian hits the UK, with his run of dates in England starting in Manchester on February 21.

The 'Believe' star meanwhile recently unveiled the video for his latest single 'As Long As You Love Me', which features Reservoir Dogs hardman Michael Madsen beating up Bieber.

Madsen, however, admitted that he didn't find it very fun clashing with the singer because he was so nice on set.

The former N'Sync star has been largely absent in the music scene in recent years as he concentrated on acting, with his last album, 'FutureSex/LoveSounds', coming in 2006.

Producer Jim Beanz recently claimed that he was working on music with Timbaland and also a "Justin Timberlake project", but a representative for the 'Social Network' man has now cleared up the quote.

They told Entertainment Weekly that Timberlake has been working with Timbaland on his 'Shock Value 3' album - not his own album.

As previously reported, Timberlake recently acted as the ambassador for the US Ryder Cup golf team, with the talented star admitting that the sport is a major passion of his.

The actor and singer confirmed the news in a statement, which said the sport has been a "lifelong passion" of his.

The event, which sees teams of select players from Europe and the US go head-to-head, will take place this year in Illinois in late September.

Timberlake said he is "proud" at his appointment and expressed his delight at being given a role at such a prestigious event. He said:

"Golf has been a lifelong passion of mine – whether I'm out playing the game, working on the course at Mirimichi or sharing my love for the sport with others. There is no greater stage for the sport than the Ryder Cup, and I'm proud to be an ambassador for the U.S. Ryder Cup team and take part in such a time-honoured event. It's going to be a special week for golf fans around the world, me the most."

The teen star has already announced dates for North America and the UK as he looks to promote his new album 'Believe'.

However, the singer took to Twitter to announce that the tour will also visit a number of continents including Europe and Asia.

He added that the tour will also hit the Middle East and South America, amongst other locations. He said:

"Oh yeah...and just agreed to routing for EUROPE, RUSSIA, MIDDLE EAST, ASIA, AUSTRALIA and NZ, South America, and S AFRICA BELIEVE TOUR dates."

Bieber meanwhile also confirmed that director Jon M. Chu will be overseeing the 'Believe' tour, with the singer posting a video of Chu 'signing' a contract to confirm his role.

Following on from their inclusion in this year's Polaris Prize long list last week, Vancouver duo Japandroids have announced a full UK and European tour starting this August that will take them through September and includes Pitchfork's Music Festival in November. This comes on the heels of the rapturously received new album 'Celebration Rock' and their current North American tour, where they have sold out shows in Seattle, Portland, SF, LA, San Diego, Denver, Chicago, Toronto, NYC, Brooklyn, Philly, DC and Vancouver.
Their long awaited follow-up to their critically acclaimed 2009 debut 'Post Nothing', 'Celebration Rock', came out on 4th June on Polyvinyl Records, debuting at #37 on the USA Billboard charts. The album was produced by Jesse Gander and Japandroids and has been called "one of the year's most thrilling rock records" by Rolling Stone and "a rock record for the ages" by Pitchfork and the critics have unanimously agreed with that.

Last week, the band performed two songs on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, 'Fire's Highway' for TV, and a special online performance of 'The House That Heaven Built' featuring The Roots' "Captain" Kirk Douglas on backing guitars and vocals.

The popular singer is releasing 'Believe' around the world and he told the Metro that he channelled European cities in the album's recording.

Bieber said that he took home some dubstep influence from London and also took inspiration from some Paris producers to "get that European feel". He said:

"I wanted to add a bit of dubstep after coming over to London and on some songs I worked with producers from Paris, to get that European feel."

However, it is not all Eurocentric, with American producers giving 'Believe' a US feel too. He continued:

"I also worked with writers from America. I was using both sides, so we could make worldy songs."
