Wireless bosses deny suggestion Rihanna could pull out of festival

A spokesperson for the Wireless Festival has dismissed speculation that Rihanna could pull out of her scheduled appearance this summer.

Rihanna is set to play the festival on July 8, headlining the final night of the popular festival.

It had been reported yesterday that the superstar singer had pulled out of a trip to London due to illness - something which she dismissed on Twitter, adding that she cancelled the flight to spend more time with her family.

A spokesperson for Wireless has appeased anxious fans by stating she is most definitely still on course to play the festival. They said:

"She is still scheduled to perform at Barclaycard Wireless Festival."

Adam Lambert reveals 'Never Close Our Eyes' music video

Superstar Adam Lambert has unveiled his highly-anticipated new music video for 'Never Close Our Eyes'.

The glam rocker released the full cut earlier today (May 29) and at around 4 and a half minutes long it definitely doesn't disappoint.

Directed by Dori Oskowitz, this futuristic offering plays with a dystopian concept and uses the strong contrast of pale and vibrant colours to reflect both oppression and freedom respectively.

Speaking about the exciting visual project during exclusive behind-the-scenes footage, Lambert recently explained: "The one thing that I was really excited about was maybe something sort of science fiction. Something kind of New World Order, in the future. Something not of this reality."

He also wanted to emphasise the lyrical content of 'Never Close Our Eyes' and added: "There's certain lyrics in the song that are really important. 'It only gets better if we want it to, we'll never close our eyes' - I interpret that as we're keeping our eyes wide open. Stay open to all possibilites, keep an open mind and an open heart to life."

Jay-Z says music is coming second to his new daughter

Jay-Z has admitted that music is taking a back seat after the birth of his new daughter.

The rapper's love Beyoncé gave birth to Blue Ivy Carter earlier this year and speaking to MTV, Jay-Z said that he had thought her birth might inspire him to create music.

Despite initially creating a track with Blue Ivy's voice in the days after her birth, Jay-Z has said that all he wants to do is spend time with his child, not his music. He said:

"I thought that I would after my daughter was born. I thought I would be more inspired with all the new feelings and everything that I'd have to write about, but it really happened the other way. I just really wanna hang out with her. I just wanna enjoy those moments for a bit and I'm sure that feeling of music will come back to me."

As previously reported, Jay-Z has recently announced plans to curate his own festival, which will take place in Philadelphia in September.

As previously reported, the rap mogul confirmed that he is set to launch is own two day festival in September.

It will take place in Philadelphia and will see proceeds going to charity.

Speaking to Rolling Stone, Jay-Z suggested that he would be up for having Barack Obama sing at the event. When asked if he'd be game for Obama, Jay-Z said:

"Ah, yeah, that guy. I'm gonna try. I'm gonna tell you guys right now: I'm gonna give him a call and I'm gonna try to get him to perform – do a little rendition of Al Green – but I doubt it. I think that opens up the political season. He'll be so far into helping the world that he probably won't have time, but I'm absolutely going to ask him."

Adam Lambert's forthcoming new album, 'Trespassing', has finally hit the internet and the reviews so far have all been glowing.

This new cut marks the follow up release to the vocal sensation's 2009 'For Your Entertainment', and fans and critics around the globe have been sharing their opinions on what they've heard so far.

Jim Farber from the NY Daily News reviewed 'Trespassing' this morning (May 8) and described it as "the sound of liberation achieved", adding:

"His vocals exude such confidence, freedom and charm, it makes it seem like there’s no need for the revolution he annnounces. It feels like he’s already won the fight."

An excited Lambert shared a photograph of the review with his 1.4 million Twitter followers and wrote: "That's what's up!"

EQ Music Blog also posted a review of the album and claimed that "'Trespassing' is undoubtedly the pop album of the year and has raised the standard for everybody else out there".

"There isn’t a single uneventful moment on 'Trespassing'; it’s full of energy the entire way through, and even the slower songs and ballads radiate a quiet intensity, making them impossible to ignore. Overall, this album is an incredible work."

'Trespassing', which Pressparty reviewed back in January, is set to be released on May 15 in the USA and will follow shortly after on July 2 in the UK.

Flo Rida has responded to a lawsuit that he was slapped with recently via popular social networking site, Facebook.

An Australian concert promoter is suing the 'Wild Ones' superstar for failing to turn up to a scheduled performance at the Fat As Butter music festival last year, and after struggling to get in contact with Flo Rida he decided to serve him the legal papers over Facebook.

Now, Flo Rida has opened up about the allegations and told AllHipHop.com that the promoter in question failed to provide him with any transportation to the concert so it's not entirely his own fault:

"Promoters try to jerk you (around)... A lot of times anyone can come up and say anything and get everyone's attention..."

"They feel like they should pay you a certain amount of money, and they feel like they shouldn't give you a ride to the venue. Maybe they thought that I should have brought my Bugatti (luxury sports car) to Australia, and that I could have brought my own car."
