Robbie Williams has revealed that he is open to the idea of rejoining Take That for a second time.

The 38-year-old, who temporarily reunited with his former bandmates to record 2010 studio album, 'Progress,' made the admission when asked by radio station Magic 105.4 whether he would ever go back again:

"I really, really hope so. The boys are pleased with me and I am pleased with the boys, I think there's an open invitation but we will see what the future holds."

Williams, who releases his ninth solo effort, 'Take The Crown' on November 5, also described how he penned his new single, 'Candy,' with Gary Barlow:

"It was written with me and Gaz in the attic at my place in LA, he moved in with us for a little while and we spent days and nights up there giggling about all things in general and this was one of the first songs we wrote together."

Robbie Williams beats Olly Murs' press-up record on stage

Robbie Williams has trumped Olly Murs by performing more press-ups than him on stage.

Murs recently managed to do 41 repetitions at London's Roundhouse for his iTunes Festival concert in early September.

The Xtra Factor host was trying to gazump Usher, who had done 40 press-ups the night before at the same venue.

Robbie Williams made his live comeback last night (September 11) at the Leeds Academy and the singer, who is friends with Murs, tried his luck at the press-up game. The Take That man, however, managed to power through 50 repetitions without breaking sweat.

Williams is set to play in Glasgow tonight (September 12) as his intimate comeback tour continues.

As previously reported, the 'Angels' singer has released the video for his new single 'Candy', which was co-written with Gary Barlow. The song comes off his new album 'Take The Crown', which is scheduled for a November 5 release.

Robbie Williams says new album is fit for stadiums

Robbie Williams has revealed that his forthcoming new album is made to be heard in stadiums and arenas.

The singer is releasing his ninth studio album 'Take The Crown' on November 5 and it seems Williams is gunning for something big with the record.

The Take That man is no stranger to large venues, with his three-night stint at Knebworth in 2003 attracting an overall crowd of 375,000.

Speaking to Capital FM, Williams said that 'Take The Crown' will fit right in at large venues such as stadiums. When asked what sound he was going for on the record, the 'Candy' man said:

"We are at big stadium sounding album. This is going to fit right in at huge areas with thousands of people staring at me."

He continued: "And then I'm going to sing it at them and they're going to smile and hold their phones up and wave and it's going to be euphoric and it's going to be big."

Robbie Williams has debuted his latest single.

The Take That star is releasing his ninth studio album 'Take The Crown' on November 5 and he is taking 'Candy' off the record as his first single.

The song, which was co-written by Gary Barlow, was premiered on UK radio this morning (September 10) as he increases his promotional activity in the build up to the album.

As previously reported, Williams has revealed a desire to pen more material with Gary Barlow.

In a magazine interview, he said that he would like to collaborate with the singer for a full album of duets - but he reckons it wouldn't go down too well with their Take That bandmates.

The pair previously worked together on the 2010 track 'Shame'.

Robbie Williams has revealed that he would be interested in recording an album of duets with Gary Barlow.

The Take That bandmates have collaborated on Williams' forthcoming new album 'Take The Crown', which is due to be released on November 5.

Speaking to GQ, Williams said that whilst he would like to pen a full-length record with Barlow, he believes that their Take That friends wouldn't be quite so happy about it. He said:

"I've written a couple of songs with Gaz [for the new album] but he's not singing on the album. I love working with Gaz. I'd love to do an album with him - me and him - but that wouldn't go down well with the boys, I don't think."

Williams continued: "I'd love to do that in between Take That being Take That and I'd love to do something with Gaz at some point. And being Take That again at some point too."

Cheryl Cole says X Factor return is for Gary Barlow, not Simon Cowell

Cheryl Cole has insisted that her return to the X Factor is only a favour for Gary Barlow.

News emerged over the weekend that the Girls Aloud star would be helping out Barlow during the judges' houses section of the series.

It prompted show supremo Simon Cowell to tweet: "Welcome back Cheryl. X."

However, the Metro quotes the 'Call My Name' singer as confirming that her shock return to the TV talent show wasn't for Cowell - but for her friend Barlow. She said:

"I saw Simon's tweet. I'm not doing this for him. I am doing this for Gary as he's my friend and he asked me to do it."

Speaking about recording Cole's cameo on the X Factor, Barlow had previously joked on Twitter: "Just so we don't clash, I'm wearing the pink suit with the red shoes ;)."

The awards ceremony was taking place last night (September 4) in central London, with a host of top names appearing.

Take That buddies Gary Barlow and Robbie Williams were two of the music related winners on the night, with the former picking up the Outstanding Achievement award and the latter winning the Icon gong.

Robbie Williams has revealed that his forthcoming new album will be full of potential worldwide hits.

The singer has revealed news of his ninth studio album 'Take The Crown', which is due for release on November 5.

Williams said that he wanted to create a "massive" solo album following his recent reunion with Take That. He said:

"After the Take That reunion - a busman's holiday, a break from my career which re-energised me in many, many ways - I wanted to come back with a massive solo album. My main priority was to write what I consider, and hopefully what the world would consider, to be hits. I'm very excited".

The 'Angels' singer meanwhile commented on the album track 'Candy', which was written with Gary Barlow. He added:

"[It's] about a girl who thinks she's great. And she might be, but she's a bit nefarious with her ways. Some songs take an age to write and some songs just fall out of your mouth completely formed, and you don't have to think about it. I don't know why that fell out of my mouth and out of my brain at that particular time - it just did".
