Glee's Bieber tribute is revealed

Last night's (February 15) episode of Glee paid tribute to the teen superstar Justin Bieber by covering two of his well know hit singles.

The tracks performed during the episode were 'Baby', which was sung by newcomer Sam (played by Chord Overstreet) to Quinn Fabray, and 'Somebody To Love', which was tackled by the male cast as a whole.

This marks the first time Bieber's music has been featured on the popular television series after its creator Ryan Murphy recently revealed that there wouldn't be a whole episode dedicated to the young star as "those are reserved for artists with a big catalogue, ala Madonna and Britney, etc."

Bieber said of the Glee covers:

"we just gotta work on those moves @chordoverstreet . yeah i heard about u guys doing the songs on #GLEE 2nite. Im honored. KILL IT!"

Bieber's level of success is ever-expanding after he won a BRIT award at last night's ceremony for International Breakthrough Act. Watch the Glee cast's Sam perform 'Baby' below:

Lea Michele honours Barbra Streisand

Academy Award winning actress and singer Barbra Streisand was honoured last night (February 11) as the 2011 MusiCares Person of the Year at its 21st annual benefit gala at the Los Angeles Convenion Center.

In addition to the award, the pop legend was treated to a series of tribute performance from artists including cast members of 'Glee'.

Streisand herself is a focus of the popular musical show as Lea Michele's character Rachel Berry is often compared to her - as both Streisand and Berry boast prominent voices and noses.

Along with Michele and 'Glee' costars Darren Criss and Matthew Morrison, other performers at the benefit included Tony Bennett, Seal, Donna Summer, BeBe Winans, Stevie Wonder, Jeff Beck, Herbie Hancock, LeAnn Rimes, Diana Krall, Barry Manilow, Kristin Chenoweth, and Nikki Yanofsky.

Streisand closed the evening with her own performance.

Watch Darren Criss chatting about Barbra and 'Glee' on the red carpet last night below:
