Writing on his official Twitter page this afternoon (June 19), the star explained that he dropped by the afterparty for Madonna's 'The MDNA Tour' DVD film premiere and was so excited to find her there letting her hair down with the other guests as she celebrated the project:

"Dropped by Madonna's #MDNA tour DVD premiere after-party... The Queen of Pop stayed late into the evening just kickin it w everyone. #surreal"

The event itself took place last night at Harlow in New York City and other guests included 'Star Trek' actor Zachary Quinto, Kelly Osbourne and John Travolta. Madonna attended her afterparty wearing a tuxedo and top hat (shown below), which she accessorised with a white silk bowtie and bright red lips.

The platinum-haired singer took to the stage at Sony Music's HQ for the Xperia Access launch after touching down from a trip to Los Angeles.

Ora addressed the crowd at the UK show and admitting to feeling a little out of sorts.

According to Contact Music the star revealed: ''I haven't slept for about 48 hours but who cares. I came straight off a flight and headed straight here. I've barely had any time to do my hair and my make up, so I apologise.''

Ora performed some of her best-loved hits including 'Shine Ya Light', 'How We Do' and 'R.I.P' at the event.

The star also revealed that she is looking forward to the release of her second album later this year.

She explained: ''This past year has really changed me, it's been the most surreal time. It's pretty awesome. 'The second album I'm going to release is something can't wait to show you guys. I'm really excited.

She added: ''I used to listen to so much music and I know my first album was an introduction of me to you guys and it's more than an honour that you guys have given attention to it, so thank you for that.''

The 36-year-old star's catchy hit 'Blurred Lines' featuring Pharrell Williams and T.I. has become an international sensation.

Thicke had success on a smaller scale before the No. 1 tune, and insists his look suffered as a consequence.

Laughing in an interview with Australian radio hosts Kyle and Jackie O he explained: "I had the long hair! Well, the funny thing was, I had always written and produced for others but I didn't devote time to my own music and I told myself I wouldn't cut my hair until I hear my own song on the radio.

He added: "That took about two years, so I ended up with this Jesus perm! There was no style, just a big, flowing head of hair."

Thicke has two versions of the accompanying promo to 'Blurred Lines' - a normal and a more risque edit, which features the models in his videos topless.

Thicke quipped: "Honestly, it was all the director's idea! I told her I just wanted to make a funny or silly video and she said, 'Well, what if the girls take their clothes off?'

He continued: "They were well paid! That's why the rest of us are just standing in front of a white wall; because all the money went to the girls' boobs! There's Treats! Magazine, it's a fashion magazine, but it's predominantly nude and Emily [Ratajkowski, girl from the video] was on the cover and star of the magazine and I gave it to the director as an idea, but she just got the girl!"

The international superstar has sons Sean Preston, seven, and six-year-old Jayden James from her marriage to Kevin Federline.

Speaking on Ryan Seacrest's KIIS-FM radio show, Spears said her boys think she is becoming more embarrassing as they are getting older.

She explained: ''My sons are six and seven, so they're just now getting to the stage of where you can't kiss mommy in front of your friends and all that kind of stuff. They're getting what's cool and what's not.''

Spears recently unveiled her new song that will feature on the soundtrack for the upcoming 'Smurfs' movie sequel. 'Ooh La La' received its first play on Ryan Seacrest's radio show and she also opened up about why she took on the project in the first place.

She said: ''The main reason why I did it was because my boys. They're obsessed with 'The Smurfs'. We've seen 'The Smurfs' movie a million, trillion times and they were told they could be in the music video.

She added: ''My oldest son, Preston, was right on cue every time they would tell him to do something in the video. They play themselves. But when we did the actual shoot of the video, I didn't see them. I was in hair and makeup, so later on I got to see what they actually did on camera - and it was adorable!''

The stunning songstress is the cover star for July's American issue of Vogue magazine and to promote the prestigious honour, Perry has released a short video.

In the promo, Perry - who is famed for her ebony locks - revealed how trying to emulate Madonna's platinum style resulted in her signature look.

She explained: ''I've been dying my hair black since I was 15. The whole reason I dye it is that I was 15 and I chopped it all off. I had it bleached blonde like Madonna and it didn't look right so I bought a box of hair dye and dyed it all black and never looked back.''

Perry also admitted there are certain features on her face she plays up in order to feel more attractive.

She said: " My brows and my eyes, I think, are what frame my whole face. I have all right lips and all right cheekbones, but they're no showoffs. If I get my brows and my eyes right, that really sets the whole face.

Perry added: ''My skin used to be a lot worse than it is so I would use a lot more coverage as I was insecure about my skin.''

The real boyband are currently out in the States as they begin their North American Take Me Home tour in Florida.

The Daily Mail reports, however, that they have been joined by a batch of lookalikes who are acting as doubles for the five boyband stars when photos of the back of their heads are needed.

Snaps were taken of four out of five of the men standing around catering and taking photos of waiting One Direction fans.

One of the 'doubles' even had a sticker on his leg saying 'Zayn', in reference to the band's singer Zayn Malik.

One Direction meanwhile are due to perform in Ft. Lauderdale tonight (June 13).

Their North American tour comes off the back of a hugely successful European run, which saw the British group pack out venues across the continent.

The singer is well known for sporting a cropped cut and the do has long been associated with the English star.

However, she opted to go long on Monday (June 3) after a trip to a hair salon, revealing a photo on Instagram with the caption:

"I look about 5 here but in the words of @missksymes 'long hair don't care' lol. #pregohair #timeforachange."

Sandford was pictured entering the salon with her short hair before mysteriously leaving with long locks.

The singer is currently pregnant as she expects her first child with fiance Wayne Bridge.

She will follow bandmate Rochelle Humes into motherhood, who recently gave birth to a baby girl.

The music mogul is often regarded as a vain chap, but the 'DEMI' star told The Sun that he actually blow dries his mane - despite not actually having too much hair on top.

When asked if Cowell is into grooming, the X Factor judge said: "Yeah, he’s always blowdrying his hair."

Referring to her relationship with the Syco boss, Lovato added: "I’ve been able to tell him things that I don’t tell the public — about my personal experiences, my journey and what I’ve been through. He’s been really, really cool about everything. Way deep down there, he’s a good guy."

Lovato meanwhile has resumed her role as a judge on the US X Factor for what will be her second series, with the show currently in its touring audition phase.

Hair experts behind retailer Fabriah.com lined up a number of famous faces and asked respondents to vote for their favourite hair style.

Beyoncé topped the poll with 20% of voters naming her hair their top choice.

Other music stars that were named amongst the best hair styles of the past ten years include Cheryl Cole, Christina Aguilera, Amy Winehouse and Lady Gaga.

Francesca Davies of Fabriah.com explained: “It takes a lot for hair to become iconic and even more so for someone to become a hair icon. We have mapped their changing hair styles over the years and many of us have even had a go at copying one or two of them.” 

She concluded: “However, the fact of the matter is, every single person in our top ten could be recognised purely by their hair alone.”

Some of those who voted for Beyoncé’s tresses commented: “I would go as far as saying she has never had a bad hair style. I would love to know how much she spends and what products she uses to keep her hair looking that good.”

Louise Teasdale is tasked with preparing the five lads for tours and photoshoots, getting up close and personal with the singers.

Speaking to Grazia, the hairdresser revealed that Harry Styles' famous do is often just a bedhead look. When asked what the secret is to Styles' cut, she said:

"Harry wakes up like that! Sometimes I don't even see him before a shoot, or Liam especially when he had his shaved head."

Speaking about her most controversial hair cut on the boys, Teasdale added:

"Liam's shaved head I suppose...It was my favourite though :)."

The 'Party In The USA' has previously spoken out about her dislike of long hair and described extensions as "creepy", but her friend Kelly Osbourne has now revealed why Cyrus has such a problem with wigs.

Writing on her official Twitter page earlier this week, Osbourne told her followers: "sat with @MileyCyrus while getting my hair done & she is telling me a story about a haunted wig shop being the reason she does not like wigs."

Cyrus recently wowed at the 2013 Met Gala after taking the 'punk' dress code seriously as she styled her short cut into spikes and wore an eye-catching long-sleeved, netted gown by Marc Jacobs (shown above left).

She tweeted about her Met Gala outfit on May 6 and wrote: "We gonnnna kill it @MarcJacobsIntl #PuNk #whosmorepunkthan #MJ #MC #MetGala."

During a new interview with V magazine, on which the 'See You Again' star also graces the cover, she explained that she noticed that she could pull off very short hair so decided to go with it as she was craving change:

"I’m like, ‘Why don’t I just cut my hair, all blonde?’ Because I’ve always wanted to do it. I got to pretend to be a Jonas Brother one time and I had to wear a Jonas swoop and as soon as I saw it I was like, ‘Okay, I kind of look dope like that.’ And I never really thought about it again. And then Pharrell said, ‘That’s what you can do that no one else can do.’”

She added that Pharrell Williams was also the first person that she told when she finally got the pixie cut: "He was the only person I wanted to call, because I wanted him to know that I’m not f****** around with what I’m saying. I’m going to change, I’m going to be different, I’m going to do what I want to do. I chopped my hair and bought a pair of Docs and never looked back.”

The superstar singer's style has evolved over the last year into more grown-up territory after sporting a self-confessed "scary, cartoon look".

Speaking to Top of the Pops magazine, the 'Domino' star admitted that she thinks her body is "unusual" and that it has taken a lot of time for her to enjoy her own body image. She said:

"I don't think I'm bursting with confidence. I'm a bit unusual-looking and it's taken me a long time to feel confident in my body."

Jessie J continued: "Perhaps I was a bit scared. I was a little insecure about my body, about being too grown-up. But I was a girl and now I'm a woman and I want to make sure I enjoy it."

The singer has been busy working on the follow-up to her 2011 debut 'Who You Are', which spawned hits such as 'Domino' and 'Do It Like A Dude'.

In a series of posts on Twitter today (April 22), Jessie J revealed a host of new lyrics - with the singer later confirming that some came from her next single. Among the lyrics was the line:

"When it gets rough and the rain starts pouring, I turn up the heat coz the drama aint important".

She added: "Roll the dice double two no more us no me and you. What a struggle, I took a risk, another life another kiss".

After posting the lyrics, the Voice UK coach added that she is enjoying the "mystery" of her new campaign. The singer said:

"Mystery is so rare now. Most music is leaked these days. I am enjoying the build-up to my second album. It's as exciting as the first time round, I want to remember every second of it. Enjoy it with me. Enjoy the tease, the mystery, the build up."
