“She is Amazing…” - Jessie J

“… Brings great JOY to my heart.” - Anita Baker

With everybody from The Mail Online, Daily Telegraph and even Anita Baker herself heaping praises on British Nigerian R&B singer and songwriter ADENIKÈ for her rather excellent cover rendition of the 1986 classic, “Sweet Love” on the recent series of BBC’s The Voice UK, the London native debuts a beautiful original song of her own titled “I Stayed” - which is currently receiving support from the likes of MTV UK, SoulCulture, Digital Spy, Huffington Post, SBTV and several online tastemakers - for our listening pleasure.

To be released on June 10, “I Stayed” is a strong and emotive piano-led ballad, accompanied by rousing string arrangements and commanding drum patterns, which sees Adenikè in the form of her life with a pitch perfect vocal performance and songwriting dexterities that are well beyond her years, as she passionately pours out her heart about lost love and heartbreak on this Okiem Warmann-produced record, “I Stayed”. With visuals, beautifully shot and directed by Olan Collardy for Cardy Films, which bring “I Stayed” further to life, Adenikè surely has a future classic on her hands.

Following the disappointment of not progressing on The Voice UK and with the added impetus she gained from the overall experience, Adenikè is quickly picking herself up to begin work on her debut album. If Tom Jones and Jessie J thought they made a mistake by letting Adenikè slip out of their fingers on The Voice UK, imagine how much more regret they must feel about letting her go, with the release of this excellent new single from the London Soul singer.

Justin Bieber was seemingly booed during an acceptance speech at last night's (May 19) Billboard Music Awards.

As previously reported, the singer won three awards at the Las Vegas ceremony - Top Male Artist, Top Social Artist and Milestone.

When he collected the latter gong, he asked for people to concentrate on his music and not the other "bullsh*t". The 'Believe' star said:

"I'm 19 years old. I think I'm doing a pretty good job. From my heart, I really just want to say, it should really be about the music, it should be about the craft that I'm making. This is not a gimmick. I'm an artist, and I should be taken seriously, and all this other bullsh*t should not be spoken of."

However, it appears that the singer was booed by some sections of the crowd as he asked to be taken seriously.

Bieber seemed largely nonplussed after the event, tweeting: "Grateful to my #Beliebers. Our awards. Love u. I love music, my fans, my family, my friends..And I love The Lord."

Demi Lovato suffered an embarrassing moment of lapsed concentration on live national TV as she messed up lyrics.

The talented singer was performing her latest single 'Heart Attack' on Good Morning America on Wednesday (April 10) when the slip happened.

It was all going well until the X Factor USA judge began to sing the song's second verse instead of the first.

However, she managed to maintain her composure and revert back to the correct lyrics half way through the verse, before repeating the second.

Like a true pro, Lovato managed to get through the blip with a knowing smile before finishing the track with aplomb.

'Heart Attack' is the lead single from the singer's forthcoming new album 'DEMI', which is released on May 14.

Demi Lovato adds "magic" to songs

US songstress Demi Lovato adds "magic" to tracks, says a top music producer.

Jason Evigan worked with the star on her single 'Heart Attack, which wasn't initially intended for her.

However, the producer says Lovato made the track her own when it came to laying down vocals in the studio.

Speaking to MTV News, he explained: "The first version had a dubstep break in it. We took that out for her ... Demi has magic to it where she has so much sass in her voice but yet so much power and all those really high notes at the end, she added that on the spot. [Some of those notes are] all freestyle and like that, I feel like, took the song up notches."

'Heart Attack' was originally planned for singer Nikki Williams, before being offered to former 'American Idol' contestant Pia Toscana.

Evigan says the track was meant for Lovato though.

He said: "A lot of people wanted the song. And then Demi came in to do another song called 'Two Pieces' and then we played her 'Heart Attack' and she freaked out about it. So she came in to record it and then she actually had a couple of lyric changes that were really good. She added that super high note at the end and she added some really cool things to it and she brought that song to life. Now it's taking off."
