Rita Ora reveals she received advice from Beyoncé

Rita Ora has opened up on some advice she received from Beyoncé.

The vocal queen is a veteran performer these days but it seems the '4' star isn't always perfect when it comes to remembering lyrics.

Ora revealed to the Metro that Beyoncé said if you ever forget your words, then just stretch the microphone out into the crowd for them to fill in the gaps. The rising star said:

"Beyoncé gave me performing advice. She said if you forget the words put the mic out so the crowd sings along with you. I've used it for when I'm out of breath. I run around on stage so much, when I get a bit out breath, I'll put the mic out and say: 'Sing along'."

Ora meanwhile also revealed that Coldplay mainman Chris Martin helped choose her debut album's tracklisting after she supported the band on tour. She said:

"[Chris Martin] gave me loads of feedback. He went through my songs and told me what he liked. After my final show supporting Coldplay, we all went around to his house and I played him my songs and he helped me pick the order for the album. He said to think of the ones that mean the most to me. He said he loved the way I perform – that I have a lot of energy."

Rita Ora on Will.i.Am collaboration: 'It's about real love rather than one night stands and came out great'

Rising star Rita Ora has confirmed that her collaboration with Black Eyed Peas sensation Will.i.Am is set to feature on her debut album.

She explained to Capital FM that the cut, entitled 'Fall In Love', is about a very real emotion and veers away from the 'one night stand' territory that many current tracks seem to be dabbling in:

"That's a great song… that's a fall in love, 'I don't want a one-night stand, I want to be in love with you' kind of song. Will.i.am and I went into the studio and we just completely got in the zone and recorded it and it just came out great… I'm just so happy it's on the album."

"He is a cool guy and he's well fun, and he's so smart, he's a very smart man."

'Ora' will be released in the UK on August 27 and she is currently on course to land her third No.1 single, 'How We Do (Party)', after it peaked in the midweek chart update yesterday (August 15).

Rita Ora has revealed that she is flattered to be compared with Gwen Stefani and Rihanna.

The 'R.I.P.' singer, who recently admitted she takes her clothes as seriously as her music, told more! magazine that she has no problem with being mentioned in the same breath as such style icons:

"I love Gwen Stefani. She's so cool and her style is amazing. Clearly I'm influenced by her red lips and blonde hair! She's one of my idols. I love her a lot, and I'll wear the comparison high on my shoulder.

"I like anyone who can be confident with themselves. Also, Rihanna's hot, so to be compared to her is a huge compliment."

The 21-year-old, who releases new single, 'How We Do (Party),' in the UK today, went on to explain why she will never be seen wearing jeans:

"I hate jeans. I don't think they're flattering - I haven't worn them in years. I love clothes that make me look sexy."
