The pair were involved in an embarrassing verbal fight on the set of American Idol soon after becoming new judges on the show last year.

This prompted speculation that the rest of the series could be fraught with difficulties - but Minaj told Page Six that it is all in the past.

She said: "All of that has been talked about. We had our differences, but it is all done with now, and we just get in there and do our job."

As previously reported, Minaj recently revealed her desire to try out acting.

The 'Pink Friday' star, who is well noted for her theatrics, added that she has already been looking over some scripts.

The flamboyant singer is well known for her theatrics but it seems she is contemplating diversifying into film.

Speaking to the New York Post, Minaj said that she is waiting for the right time to flex her acting muscles.

However, the 'Pink Friday' star admitted that she is already browsing some scripts for potential roles. She said:

"I would love to act, it just has to be the right project, the right movie. I have an agent, and we are looking at a couple of scripts, so we'll see."

As previously reported, Minaj recently opened up on her role as an American Idol judge, saying that the show isn't purely about vocals.

The 'Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded' star was absent from the list of nominees for this year's awards, which are due to take place in Los Angeles on February 10.

However, the singer told the Associated Press that she believes her time will come to land a Grammy. She said:

"I've gotten tons of awards and I believe when it's my time to get a Grammy, I'll get a Grammy."

The 'Starships' star continued: "I think that the Grammys had a different reason that I do not want to discuss, and that's just between me and them. But I respect their organisation and I'll get a Grammy eventually. I'm not worried about it."

Minaj has been nominated for four Grammy awards so far in her career, but she has not won any.

TMZ reports that nine former American Idol contestants have sent a letter to the US Equal Employment Opportunity Commission claiming that they were disqualified from the show because of their skin colour.

The group - including Ju'Not Joyner and Thomas Daniels - say that the only people publicly kicked out of the show have been black, claiming that they used unfair investigations into their alleged criminal history.

They add that none of the wannabe singers disqualified from the show based on their arrest history were actually convicted of the crimes they were charged for.

Producer Nigel Lythgoe told TMZ that American Idol is fair to people of all skin colours. He said:

"We treat everybody the same...no matter the race, religion or sex. I think we've always had a fantastic share of talent from contestants both black and white...I don't think I've ever seen racism at the show."

The singer was runner-up on the TV talent show back in 2009 and he was heavily rumoured for a judging role this year.

However, Mariah Carey, Nicki Minaj and Keith Urban were all added to the show alongside Randy Jackson.

The panel got off to a rocky start after a video emerged of Minaj and Carey arguing on set, but the 'Trespassing' man praised the "entertaining" nature of the foursome. He said:

"Watching @AmericanIdol - the judge panel is PERFECT. credible, entertaining, and balanced! fab! LUV this First episode! #idol13."

The pair were both new additions to the judging panel on American Idol last year but the duo endured a rocky start, with a video emerging of Minaj arguing on set.

A song by the 'Pink Friday' star called 'Hell Yeah' emerged and it appeared to mention the pair's feud, with lyrics such as:

"I'm quick to check a b*tch that's out of line/ Why these bums so mad that the queen on Idol?"

Speaking to ABC News, Carey admitted that she doesn't know much about Minaj's career and said that American Idol is too "classy" for feuds and friction. She said:

"I don't know what she's singing. I didn't know she sang, I thought she rapped or whatever. I think [American Idol] is a classic, classy show and it didn't need this. I really think it was just a crass moment."

The vocal star added: "For me, this is ultimately about the kids, the contestants. I've been blessed to live my dream more than half my life so I want to help give that back to someone else."

The flamboyant singer was one of three stars added to the show, joining fellow newbies Mariah Carey and country star Keith Urban on the panel.

However, she has revealed to Hollywood Reporter that she worried about becoming "too famous" as a result of being plastered on TV every week. The 'Pink Friday' star said:

"Sometimes you are afraid of being too famous because it's almost, like, is that even cool? Being that accessible, someone you see on TV every week? I never pictured myself as that type of person. I'm still surprised that I decided to do it."

Minaj's stint on the show didn't get off to the best starts after a video emerged online of the star arguing with colleague Mariah Carey on set.

The singer is releasing the song as the next single from her re-issue 'Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded - The Re-Up', which is due to be unleashed on November 19.

She has now unveiled a teaser clip for the track's video, which was shot in the UK.

The video opens with typical British weather seemingly getting the better of Minaj, who is seen being carried away by two men in windy conditions.

The singer and rapper is seen in the video wearing a patterned dress and blonde hair.

As previously reported, Minaj recently opened up on her spat with fellow American Idol judge Mariah Carey whilst filming the show.

The 'Beez in the Trap' star claimed that Carey's constant jibes made her reach "boiling point".

The pair engaged in a verbal fight on the set of the TV talent show earlier this year, with leaked footage showing Minaj in particular having a go at Carey.

Speaking in the new episode of her reality show Nicki Minaj: The Truth, which aired last night (November 11), the 'Beez In The Trap' star revealed that Carey "egged her on" to the point of anger.

Minaj added that her colleague doesn't like having another female on the judging panel, which is completed by Randy Jackson and Keith Urban. She said:

"I just know that I had reached my boiling point. Twenty minutes before that happened, she egged me on."

The singer and rapper continued: "I stormed off the stage because I didn't want to do that. I left and when I came back it was another jab. [Mariah] admitted she did not want another female doing the show. Thinking someone's coming to steal her shine. Nitpicking. I stay away from that."

The pair are new to the judging line-up on the TV talent series and it seems they are off to a somewhat rocky start together.

Video footage emerged from the set of American Idol in North Carolina on Tuesday (October 2) that showed Minaj having a go at Carey.

It had been reported that she said "If I had a gun I would shoot her", but Lythgoe told TMZ:

"The statement [that Minaj made a death threat] is absolute rubbish. It's absolutely not true in any way, shape or form."

Filming for the show was cut short on the day after the incident to let the judges cool off.
