Speaking to Capital FM, the 'Nobody's Perfect' star explained that she will meet with the organisations she wants to help over the next few weeks:

"I'm having a meeting about it next week and talking about the charities I want to do it for and how we're going to do it. It's one of those things you say but a lot of planning has to go into it. But I'm excited; I'm excited to do something good for the world." 

She also admitted that breaking her foot and spending a lot of time in hospital inspired her to give something back as she met lots of young people who were incredibly brave and it encouraged her to support worthy causes:

"When I broke my foot I went round a lot of hospitals and met a lot of kids that inspired me more than anything else. The passion they have to carry on through times of illness. I need to use being someone that people know to do something good for the world." 

The show, which revolves around the idea of judges listening to acts sing with their back turned - before turning around in their chair if they want to coach the singer - is set to bring the focus back onto purely vocal talent.

And Jessie J told the Daily Star that she can't wait to start filming - so that she can spin round in the massive chair. She said:

"I'm so relaxed and refreshed after the Christmas break I can't wait to start filming it. They are giving me a chair that spins around while I judge. I'm looking forward to sitting in it and spinning - that's the best bit."

She also reckoned that spending time with colleague Tom Jones will also be a highlight as she will be able to discover what the veteran singer's eating habits are. She added:

"I get to hang out with Tom Jones soon. We're going to dinner together. I'm just looking forward to seeing what he orders, to see what he eats. Is he a no-carbs man? Does he just have soup or salad?"

The song's surge up the chart means that last week's No.1 - Flo Rida's 'Good Feeling' - dropped down to No.2.

Taking the bronze medal this week is Rizzle Kicks' 'Mama Do The Hump', whilst Avicii's 'Levels' was a non-mover at No.4.

Elsewhere in the singles chart, Lloyd's 'Dedication To My Ex (Miss That)' jumped five places to No.5 whilst Coldplay's 'Paradise' dropped five to No.7.

David Guetta's 'Titanium' was the only re-entry in the top 20, charting at No.8.

Speaking to the Daily Mirror, the 'Price Tag' singer praised the girl group's singing talent and revealed that she'd like to pen tracks for them. She said:

"I'd love to write for them as they're great girls and have brilliant voices."

As previously reported, Ed Sheeran revealed that he is in talks with Jessie J about writing together and recording a duet.

Despite all the activity, Jessie J admitted that she feels like she has never "done enough" - and that she is constantly growing and challenging herself.

The 'Domino' superstar spoke to the Press Association on January 12 and explained that she wants to continue challenging herself into the new year and has an unstoppable sense of ambition:

"I don't ever feel like I've done enough. I feel like every year there's more for you to learn and grow and challenge yourself."

It was announced earlier this week that Jessie J has been nominated for 3 BRIT Awards and will battle it out for the titles of British Single, British Breakthrough Act and British Female Solo Artist against the likes of Adele, Ed Sheeran and One Direction.

The pop sensation has been taking some well-deserved time off over the past few weeks and rewarded her hard work with a holiday, so this fantastic news is a great way to kick off 2012. Upon hearing that she is now the current UK chart-topper, she tweeted:

"Celebrationnnnnn!!!! Oh My!!! *tears of joy*."

Flo Rida's smash hit single 'Good Feeling' is now at No.2, although the Official Charts Company revealed that there are only 1000 copies separating him from Jessie J in the race for No.1.

Rizzle Kicks have moved up 2 positions to No.3 with 'Mama Do The Hump', Maroon 5's 'Moves Like Jagger' has climbed 2 to No.10, and Pixie Lott's new offering 'Kiss The Stars' has debuted this afternoon (January 12) at No.34.

The 'Price Tag' sensation sent out the entertaining picture earlier this afternoon, January 4, accompanied by the tagline "who wants to see my party trick for tonight?! Haha...", which shows her with an impressive mouthful of chocolate Maltesers. 

2012 is set to be a great year for Jessie J as she is due to start work on her sophomore album and has also been confirmed as a judge for The Voice UK. She has been celebrating her 2011 achievements with a well-deserved holiday and tweeted yesterday:

"Sun. Boat. Besties. Jay Z music. White sand. Red Lippy. Bbq. Crystal blue sea. #paradise"

The pair have met on many occasions and the 'Price Tag' hitmaker explained to Buzz magazine that Cole handled her untimely departure from the U.S. version of the vocal talent show very graciously:

"What I love about Cheryl is she's a true survivor. She's so talented and she gets so much sh*t. She deals with it so well. Every time I've met her she's been so lovely and sincere."

2011 has been an incredibly manic year for Jessie J and earlier this morning, December 30, she told her 1.6 million followers on Twitter that she is off on holiday for a well-deserved break:

"Holiday... :D sun, sea, rest, friends, party!!! #paradise"

Speaking to Capital FM, the 'Nobody's Perfect' hitmaker explained that helping those less fortunate is something she has always gravitated towards and despite her fame she still plans to go down that route at some stage in her life:

"Id be doing something to put some good into the world. I'd be a social worker or an inspirational speaker or I'd work with children or I'd work with people that hadn't been so privileged as myself growing up. I'd still want to do that in my life."

She is no stranger to philanthropy and recently announced that she wants to shave her head in 2012 to raise money for charity. Watch her latest music video for 'Domino' here:

The 'Domino' singer said: "For the seven years before I signed my record deal I was in a bad place and I was scared that I couldn’t get out of it.

"That’s why I wrote such upbeat music (on debut album, 'Who You Are'), as a way of trying to escape how I felt. Now that I am happier, I won’t be afraid to explore my pain, but in a good way. it’ll be me saying that it’s OK not to feel OK. 

"Not every song needs a happy ending. I was thinking about all this the other day when I read an interview with Adele. 

"She said she’s worried everyone thinks she’s always going to be this broken-hearted woman because of the songs on '21'.

Those songs were just a moment in Adele’s life and that’s what music should be, a moment in time, an exaggeration of that moment condensed into a three-minute song.

"I’m writing ideas down in my phone every day for new songs and I want to explore every aspect of music more on the next album, from different styles to my voice to what I sing about to who I get to duet with."
