Michael Jackson's son lands TV reporter role

Michael Jackson's eldest son Prince Michael has paid tribute to his father's parenting skills after landing a job as a TV reporter.

The 16-year-old star is working for daily US tabloid show Entertainment Tonight, which saw the teenager interviewing stars of the film Oz the Great and Powerful including James Franco and Zach Braff as his first job.

Entertainment Tonight correspondent Brooke Anderson praised the star's maturity, and Prince Michael admitted his approach to life is thanks to his legendary father.

Thanking his colleague for the compliment, the star said: "That's what most of my people say. That was all thanks to my Dad. He raised me right.

He added: "I've been raised around stuff like this so it was different being the interviewer instead of the one being interviewed."

Prince Michael revealed that he now wants to interview 'Lord of the Rings' director Peter Jackson.

He explained: "I just love the way he shoots [and how] he brings things and depicts it back to life. I used to study his movies with my Dad, put the volume off and just watch it, just the shots to see how he put it together."

In a statement released today (February 6), the iconic brand confirmed plans to shut a number of branches across the country, with 930 jobs due to be lost.

Music stars including Bruno Mars and Ellie Goulding have revealed their first ever jobs.

The singers may be living a glamorous lifestyle of fame and fortune but it seems their beginnings were a little more modest.

Speaking to MTV, Bruno Mars said that his first taste of employment was as a DJ in a shopping centre - but he ended up breaking the vinyl. He said:

"I was 18-years-old. The worst job I ever had was I applied to be a DJ at the mall at the Beverly Center. The only problem was I don't know how to DJ. So I showed up to the Beverly Center with my friend's records and I broke their record player."

'Halcyon' star Ellie Goulding meanwhile said that her first job was cleaning toilets in a village pub. She said:

"Well I grew up in a village and down the road was a pub called the Royal George and I used to clean the toilets. Men's toilets, mainly."
