Lady Gaga responds to Sharon Osbourne letter

Lady Gaga has revealed why her recent letter to Kelly Osbourne was made open to the public.

As previously reported, Gaga penned an open message to the Fashion Police star after believing that Osbourne got in touch with her about being bullied by the 'Born This Way' star's fans on Twitter, slating her TV show and criticising her apparent negativity.

Mother Sharon Osbourne then wrote to Gaga to confirm that it was her that contacted her manager over online bullying, before taking shots at the singer.

The 'ARTPOP' star took to Twitter last night (January 12) to state why she made her original letter to Kelly Osbourne public. She said:

"The "real world" can be cruel, why not try to change it into a better place? I am an activist. Nobody takes adolescents seriously, I do."

The singer continued: "My letter to @MissKellyO was open, because her statements on cyber-bulling were public & as a youth activist I'm compelled to be involved."

Gaga later tweeted that she has been working in the studio a lot recently, adding: "Was up all night with the boys in the studio. Inspired. @madeon just joined the gypsy life too. This is gonna be the best leg yet!"

Joan Rivers weighs in on Lady Gaga 'bullying' debate

Kelly Osbourne's friend and 'Fashion Police' co-star Joan Rivers has told Lady Gaga to "lighten up" after she publicly berated the lilac-haired star for "bullying" on the E! TV series.

Earlier this week, Gaga took a swipe at Osbourne in an open letter shared via her website LittleMonsters.com.

In the post on January 10, famously eccentric singer Gaga wrote to Osbourne: "Your show breeds negativity, and over the years has even become comedic in nature [...] What about your body revolution? It used to make me truly sad when I would hear people talk about your weight when you were younger, as I was bullied too. To see you blossoming into a beautiful slender woman who makes fun of others for a living is astounding. Why not help others?"

After Kelly's mother Sharon jumped to her daughter's defence yesterday, the reality TV star's 'Fashion Police' co-star Rivers told Entertainment Tonight: "’Fashion Police’ is a comedy show. Anyone that comes out of an egg should figure that out,“ before adding: "Lighten up.”

Osbourne matriarch Sharon also responded to Gaga's open letter yesterday, telling the international superstar: "I must say your opinions on what is politically correct and acceptable totally differ from mine, but that is what makes the world so interesting…we are all different. How sweet that you have empathy for my daughter, as you feel that she has taken a less passionate path in life. You say her work on E! with the Fashion Police is 'rooted in criticism, judgment, and rating people's beauty against one another.' Welcome to the real world.

She added: "Example, when I saw you wear a dress made out of raw meat, I was sickened. When I see you wearing fur, and using it as a fashion statement, the fact that defenceless animals have been killed so you can get your picture in the press is abhorrent to me."

Born This Way Foundation hosts Q&A session about Born Brave Bus

Lady Gaga's mother, Cynthia Germanotta, along with the rest of the Born This Way Foundation's team have hosted a question and answer session with fans about the forthcoming Born Brave Bus tour.

Twitter users were encouraged (January 11) to send in their queries using the hashtag '#AskCynthia' and some exciting information has since been revealed about the nature of the bus tour and what it means to both Gaga and what it will mean to her Little Monsters.

A general explanation of the Born Brave Bus (pictured below), written by Cynthia, explained: "Lots of surprises! A mix of fun, creative activities, and educational & informative opportunities to get involved in ur area."

She added that she will also spend time on the bus: "Oh yea! As often as I can be! Especially if you're in Tacoma, Portland, SJ, LA, NYC, DC, CHI…and more! LOL"

One fan asked the Born This Way Foundation about the bus's design and a response confessed that all of the images that cover it are significant: "The symbols have a special place in @ladygaga's heart. The words describe the experience & the spirit of the foundation. It all has meaning. And the side of the bus you haven't seen includes familiar faces from the Haus."

The overall attitude shared during the chat session was "to get involved in building a kinder and braver world within your communities."

The Born Brave Bus project was created to help "communities give their kids a giant hug. We want to connect youth w/ local resources, and each other. It's about creating relationships that will exist long after the bus pulls away. We want you to feel motivated & empowered."

Adam Lambert addresses bullying issue: 'More should be done to help kids cope'

Vocal sensation and former 'American Idol' runner up Adam Lambert has called for more to be done both to prevent bullying and to help young people to deal with it.

Writing on his official Twitter page earlier today (January 11), the 'Trespassing' hitmaker explained that action needs to be taken:

"Bullying sucks. It's true. I feel like we should focus more on helping kids cope and build a thick skin rather than focusing on the bullies?"

This tweet comes just a day after modern pop icon Lady Gaga wrote an 'open letter' to Kelly Osbourne, criticising her for dishing out the kind of negativity and verbal abuse she used to receive before she slimmed down.

Although Osbourne hasn't responded to the situation, her mother Sharon publicly replied this morning and defender her daughter, calling Gaga the bully for encouraging her 32 million Twitter followers to think badly of her.

Quentin Tarantino interested to work with Lady Gaga

Iconic film director Quentin Tarantino has admitted that he is keen to collaborate with Lady Gaga in the future because every time they have met there's been great chemistry.

Speaking at the UK premiere of his new movie, 'Django Unchained', the creative superstar explained that a meeting of minds would be great and he thinks she's "lovely":

"I'm a big fan of hers. It could happen. She's a really nice person. We got together a couple of times. She's a real lovely person."

While she is yet to work with Tarantino, the 'Born This Way' songstress previously teamed up with his long-time collaborator Robert Rodriguez and played the role of gun-wielding La Chameleon (shown below) in 'Machete Kills', which is due for release later this year.

Sharon Osbourne responds to Lady Gaga's letter to daughter Kelly

Sharon Osbourne has issued a lengthy message to Lady Gaga in response to her letter about Kelly Osbourne's apparent bullying.

As previously reported, Gaga took to her Little Monsters website to talk about Kelly and her work on TV show the Fashion Police, which she thinks "breeds negativity".

Sharon Osbourne has now penned a letter to the 'Born This Way' star, revealing it was she - not her daughter - that contacted the singer's manager originally after Kelly received Twitter abuse from a Gaga fan.

The message reads: "I am responding to your open letter to my daughter Kelly, and I am perplexed as to why you would go public with an open letter. Regarding this current situation; Kelly didn't contact you, I was the one that contacted your manager today and the email is attached below for your reference. I reached out to him as Kelly's manager and mother to ask him if you could address your 'little monster' fans and stop them from writing libelous, slanderous and vile comments about my family, including death threats to Kelly. Your open letter is hypocritical and full of contradictions. And as your mother Cynthia supports you, I support my daughter Kelly."

Osbourne continues: "I must say your opinions on what is politically correct and acceptable totally differ from mine, but that is what makes the world so interesting…we are all different. How sweet that you have empathy for my daughter, as you feel that she has taken a less passionate path in life. You say her work on E! with the Fashion Police is 'rooted in criticism, judgment, and rating people's beauty against one another.' Welcome to the real world. Example, when I saw you wear a dress made out of raw meat, I was sickened. When I see you wearing fur, and using it as a fashion statement, the fact that defenseless animals have been killed so you can get your picture in the press is abhorrent to me.

"I am calling you a bully because you have 32 million followers hanging on your every word and you are criticizing Kelly in your open letter. Are you so desperate that you needed to make this public? You state 'Everyday, through my music and public voice I choose to be positive and work towards a kinder and braver world with our community of followers'. Well this obviously is not translating well to your fans, as a large portion of them have not only been vile to Kelly, but also other celebrities such as Madonna, Adele and Rihanna. 'You say a kinder, braver world' I don’t know what world you live in, but supporting disgraceful fan comments doesn't fall under the words 'kinder and braver'. It comes under the heading of bullsh*t. In closing, stop wearing fur, stop looking for publicity, and stop using your fans to belittle not just Kelly but an endless stream of celebrities. A word from you would stop all the hideous, negative and vile threats from your 'little monsters'. Let me know if you want to continue this debate. I'm an open playing field for you my darling."

Gaga to Kelly Osbourne: 'To see you make fun of others for a living astounds me'

Pop sensation Lady Gaga has taken a swipe at Kelly Osbourne in an 'open letter' post shared today (January 10) via her website LittleMonsters.com.

Written from the point of view of her Body Revolution campaign in association with the Born This Way Foundation, which Gaga created with her mother Cynthia, she publicly asks Osbourne how she transitioned from being the bullied to the bully with her current job as a presenter on the E! show, 'Fashion Police'.

The 'Judas' songstress says: "I have empathy for you Kelly, but I feel it culturally important to note that you have chosen a less compassionate path."

She goes on to discuss how Osbourne was once the victim of verbal abuse and criticism because of her weight, but questions how she then slimmed down and decided to work in a career where she displays that very same negative behaviour towards other stars:

"Your show breeds negativity, and over the years has even become comedic in nature [...] What about your body revolution? It used to make me truly sad when I would hear people talk about your weight when you were younger, as I was bullied too."

"To see you blossoming into a beautiful slender woman who makes fun of others for a living is astounding. Why not help others?"

Gaga concludes the letter by admitting that she's not making an example out of Osbourne, but just wants to encourage her to be responsible.
