Former 'The Voice' finalist Bo Bruce has revealed that she believes Will.i.Am would have been the better mentor for her during her stint on the vocal talent show.

Bruce was guided and coached by The Script's Danny O'Donoghue (pictured together below) and the pair developed a close relationship, but has now admitted to Now magazine that she thinks the Black Eyed Peas star could have worked more effectively with her:

"Danny and I worked together well because he let
me boss him about. But I think Will would've led me more,
even though I wanted to do
my own thing at the time."

"Will's such a dude - and the most interesting guy there.
He's fearless, inspiring and eccentric. He's definitely the best judge - better than... whatever the others are called."

Jason Derulo: 'I'll bring some magic to my new live show, music needs showmanship'

'It Girl' hitmaker Jason Derulo has vowed to up the ante on his brand new tour by including an 'element of magic' in his set.

During an interview with Digital Spy, the star explained that he has always been a fan of showmanship although he feels as though it's something that musicians tend to overlook nowadays:

"It's almost like the art of showmanship is dying. It's really important to me - I've always been that kid who was ready for the next show and the next surprise. I'm always trying to come up with new and exciting moves. I'm also going to be adding some magic to my live performances - I'm a big magic fan. You know, I have magical powers so it'd be a shame not to show them off."

Derulo added that he wants to "shock" his fans when they see him live, but he was careful not to give too much away: "I have a lot of really cool ideas - I think it will shock a lot of people."

He also recalled an anecdote about seeing rapper Kanye West on a plane recently, but joked that he couldn't ask him for a collaboration as he passed out during take-off: "I saw Kanye on a plane the other day. I was going to go up and talk to him but he slept for the entire flight. It was the weirdest thing. The flight was ten hours - he just went completely out within seconds!"

Lil Wayne on stepping on American flag in new video: 'It wasn't intentional'

Rap heavyweight Lil Wayne caused controversy yesterday (June 17) when behind-the-scenes footage from his new music video for 'God Bless Amerika' was released as it shows him stepping on the American flag.

In the short clip, the hitmaker can be seen rapping in front of the famous stars and stripes design before the flag falls behind him and he steps back onto it (pictured left).

Writing on his official Twitter page about his on-camera actions, Weezy explained that he didn't mean to tread on the flag and it was just a very unfortunate accident:

"I didn't step on the flag on purpose! It's a scene in a video where the flag drops behind me and after it drop it's just there as I perform."

He also issued a statement on the incident, which was posted by The Hollywood Reporter, and it echoes his initial comments: "It was never my intention to desecrate the flag of the United States of America. I was shooting a video for a song off my album entitled 'God Bless Amerika.'"

"The clip that surfaced on the Internet was a camera trick clip that revealed behind the American Flag was the Hoods of America. In the final edit of the video you will see the flag fall to reveal what's behind it but will never see it on the ground."

Rihanna overtakes Justin Bieber as most viewed artist on YouTube

Bajan sensation Rihanna can celebrate yet another milestone in her impressive career today (June 18) as she has now passed Justin Bieber in YouTube views.

The 'Umbrella' beauty currently has 77 videos on her official VEVO channel and together they have a combined 3.784 billion views. Bieber, meanwhile, has only 2 more at 79 and his total views are now 2 million less than Rihanna's as he was overtaken this morning.

At the moment, Rihanna has 8.73 million subscribers on the video hosting site while the Canadian hitmaker only has 4.9 million, which could explain the rise in her viewing statistics.

Where other social media sites are concerned, Bieber's Twitter followers dwarf Rihanna's as he is currently at 40.5 million and she is dragging behind with only 30 million. On Facebook, Rihanna has 72.3 million 'likes' while Bieber has just 54.4 million.

Pop Singer KDrew the Latest to Capitalize on Growing Industry Trend of Releasing Official Lyrics Videos

NEW YORK, May 31, 2011 -- With the recent release of an official lyrics video for his new single "Body & Soul (She Got Control)" rising pop singer KDrew is the latest music industry star to capitalize on a growing trend. Gone are the days when people would play their favorite song on repeat with album liner notes in hand to learn the lyrics so they could sing along. Also dated are the annoying webpages made just for lyrics that all too often contain errors. The growing popularity of YouTube provided an outlet that allowed thousands of fans to create fan-made videos with lyrics using simple home based video-editing software like iMovie. And now, as the internet has become the predominant source for new music discovery and consumption, official lyrics videos are becoming a trend in the music industry.

Pop superstars Britney Spears, Katy Perry and Jason Derulo are among those artists who have recently released official lyrics videos in advance of debuting their fully produced videos. Perhaps beginning with the viral spread of multiplatinum singer Cee-Lo Green's lyrics video for his hit "Forget You" in August of 2010, official lyrics videos serve as early marketing tools to get listeners familiar with the music before the fully-produced videos are released. Each month "lyrics" takes its place among the "most-searched terms" on the internet, at times even outranking terms such as "sex." Artists and labels seem keen to try to convert heavy organic search interest to traffic to their VEVO pages and official websites.

Indie Music Group's rising pop star and Facebook sensation KDrew recently joined Cody Simpson, Christina Perry and the growing list of artists with official lyrics videos with the release of his new single "Body & Soul (She Got Control)." KDrew's official lyrics video pays tribute to the popular video game series "Dance Dance Revolution" by Konami, affectionately known as "DDR" to true video game fans. This theme adds a whole new level of excitement and engagement for viewers with lyrics onscreen in sync with scrolling arrows directing dance moves for the song. All the while, two hip-shaking avatars portray "Body" and "Soul" characters, silhouetted dancers reminiscent of early Apple iPod advertisements. They dance and groove along to the uptempo dance beat and disco feel. The video begins with a fun intro sequence in which a pretty girl blows into a Super Nintendo cartridge, bringing a comfortable nostalgia to early 90's video game fans and 90's music fans alike.

While KDrew's official lyrics video for "Body & Soul (She Got Control)" may raise the bar for industry lyrics videos, it certainly did not require a major budget to make. Shot with a Cannon 7D camera, edited on Adobe home edition software and using less than $100 worth of materials; green paper and tape from Walmart; and some construction lights from Home Depot, this video is not just a breakthrough for KDrew, but for all independent artists who utilize the web to share their music. The low-budget, high-impact result further proves that in the brave new world of the digital music industry a little intuitiveness and creativity can get you further than ever before.

KDrew is a pop artist, songwriter and producer who has recently collaborated with several established producers including multi-platinum producer Just Blaze (Eminem, Jay-Z, Trey Songz) two-time Grammy Award-Winning producer Fran Cathcart(Mariah Carey, Les Paul, Toni Braxton) and Demacio "Demo" Castellon (Madonna, Fergie, Nelly Furtado). This twenty-one-year-old phenomenon from New Jersey is signed to Indie Music Group, New Jersey's fastest growing independent music label. Also an accomplished and envelope-pushing producer, KDrew has recently produced several "dubstep" records including his creative ode "War of the Worlds." Additionally, KDrew currently has over 95,000 fans on Facebook and recently debuted his new single "Body & Soul (She Got Control)."
