The US star contributed the track 'Bang Bang' to the album that accompanies the new Baz Luhrmann flick.

The song's video sees will.i.am go for a vintage look as he plays with a brass band.

The clip is stylised like an old video, with black and white the order of the day and slight film deterioration also included.

Other acts to feature on the Great Gatsby soundtrack include Florence + The Machine and Gotye.

As previously reported, will.i.am recently compared British royal Prince Harry to Iron Man in a recent interview, saying:

"If he was a character in a movie, he would be like Iron Man – he's a dude, he's a party guy, he's a technology guy, he comes from royalty, but he's a real person."

The Chime For Change event is taking place at London's Twickenham Stadium on June 1 and it will feature sets from the likes of Beyoncé and Florence + The Machine as stars raise awareness of women's rights and issues.

It was announced today (May 20) that a number of top names from entertainment and politics will help host the Gucci organised event, with Madonna leading the list.

Other names due to host include Archbishop Desmond Tutu, Gordon and Sarah Brown, Jessica Chastain, Gloria Steinem and Freida Pinto.

Speaking about the issues surrounding the event, Madonna said:

"60 percent of the children in the world NOT in school are girls! 2/3 of the world's illiterate are WOMEN! I Do NOT accept this. We need to change this and we WILL CHANGE THIS!"

Beyonce meanwhile said in a statement: "I am really happy that so many amazing artists and presenters have come together to support CHIME FOR CHANGE on 1 June. Our goal is to have a great time together while we unite and strengthen the voices of girls and women around the world."

Tickets for the event, which will also see the likes of Jennifer Lopez and Ellie Goulding perform, are on sale now.

The US star is due to release the track 'Dirty Laundry' as the next cut from her forthcoming new album.

It will be called 'Talk A Good Game' and it will feature previous single 'Kisses Down Low'.

Rowland has now issued a teaser video for 'Dirty Laundry', which will be released as a single in the US on May 21.

It sees a washing machine in full spin as the track plays in the background.

As previously reported, the Destiny's Child star recently released a revealing cover for her forthcoming new album, which can be seen below.

'Talk A Good Game' is due to be released on June 18.

The singer has revealed the promo clip for new track 'Young and Beautiful', which was recorded for the soundtrack of upcoming film The Great Gatsby.

The typically vintage looking video focuses on an orchestra playing the song, with Del Rey seen singing the track with large earrings.

The song is one of many fresh cuts included on The Great Gatsby soundtrack, with the likes of Gotye and Florence + The Machine also starring.

It's only been a matter of weeks since Del Rey issued her last video, which came in the shape of 'Summer Wine'.

The DIY clip also starred her boyfriend, Kassidy singer Barrie-James O'Neill.

The Great Gatsby meanwhile is due to be released today (May 10) in the US and on May 16 in the UK.

The flame-haired singer's original track 'Over The Love' features on Baz Luhrmann's big screen adaptation of the popular novel.

Taking to Twitter today, Welch gushed: "So honoured to be part of Gatsby. Cannot tell you what a dream come true this is for me. Nearly cried when I saw the trailer. X DREAM.LIFE.REAL.LIFE. (sic)"

Welch also revealed that the track was "written specially" for the film.

'The Great Gatsby' stars Leonardo DiCaprio and Carey Mulligan, and also features Isla Fisher and Joel Edgerton. It is scheduled to be released in May of this year.

Also on the soundtrack is Beyoncé and Andre 3000's cover of Amy Winehouse's "Back to Black'.

It also includes a mix of covers and features Jack White covering U2's 'Love is Blindness' and Emeli Sandé taking on Beyoncé's smash hit 'Crazy in Love'.

This combination of live musicianship and song-writing talent have led to sold out gigs in Ronnie Scott’s in recent months and Sonya has already been tipped for festivals this year, ensuring her star continues to rise in 2013.

‘Take My Time’ is set for UK release on 22nd April 2013.

Jon Sandler and The Fancy Band have been steadily garnering attention in the US since the release of debut single ‘Late Night Champ’ earlier this year. The acclaimed single has been supported by prolific live performances across their home state of New York and the rest of the USA.

Current single, ‘Take My Time’, shows a change in direction from their previous release, replacing electric flourishes with acoustic melodies and vocals more reminiscent of Gavin DeGraw, with elements of FUN and David Gray.

Sandler says of the single:

“While I was writing it I was feeling very out of place in NYC, thinking that it doesn't feel like home which is why I was in a rush to make a girl my ‘home’. I’m happy to take my time with most things, but not a relationship – life’s too short for that.”

The band was formed in 2010, by lead man and song-writer Jon Sandler who wrote his first album at just 17. Sandler has deliberately taken his time crafting an album to be proud of recorded almost entirely in New York, the state he sees as the band’s natural home.

The production credits on the record are somewhat impressive, including collaborations with Grammy-nominated Justin Gerrish (Weezer, Muse, Vampire Weekend) and Chris Gehringer (Lady GaGa). The single is no exception to Sandler’s quest for quality, encompassing incessant piano motifs and infectious vocal patterns which make it a natural choice for single release.

After gaining the attention of London music critics during his recent visit, Jon Sandler’s impressive music video has been confirmed to feature on Channel 4’s Sunday Brunch in the lead up to the release.

Jazz and soul singer songwriter, Helena Jesele, releases Sun Is Rising as a single on 20th May, hot-on-the-heels of a live performance at the prestigious Cheltenham Jazz Festival on 4th May 2013.

Six foot tall Jesele has recently been making waves with her debut album Sweet Sticky Fix, receiving rave reviews and support from the likes of The Daily Telegraph, Q, The Independent on Sunday, Metro, Radio 2, Jazz FM, BBC London, Hot Press and many more.

Helena grew up in a typically musical Irish family listening to the likes of Ella Fitzgerald, Aretha Franklin and Frank Sinatra and performed countless gigs singing the Great American Songbook at London Jazz haunts including Ronnie Scott’s and The Pigalle Club, prior to penning her own material for Sweet Sticky Fix.
