Robbie Williams and Dizzee Rascal team up onstage at Radio One's Big Weekend

Dizzee Rascal brought an extra treat for his fans last night during his set at the Radio One Big Weekend.

Between a set of old favourites and cuts from his latest album, Rascal announced to the crowd: "I didn't want to come empty handed today - so I brought along a friend of mine, Robbie Williams."

The crowd went wild as the ‘Angels’ singer took to the stage to join the rapper on their new collaborative track ‘Goin’ Crazy’ – the first single from Rascal’s new album ‘The Fifth’. The performance marks the very first time the duo have played the tune live.

Other performances of the night included Rita Ora, Calvin Harris and Rudimental, who all scraped in under the wire after being left stranded at Heathrow airport following a fire on a BA flight. The same delays prevented Aluna George and Angel Haze from making it to the gig on time, causing them to miss their sets.

Urban Duo DaddysGirls Announce New Single ‘That’s Why Raving’s Long’

Marking their latest single from the 2012 mixtape Chapter 2, ‘That’s Why Raving’s Long’ is the infectious new song from the promising female rap duo DaddysGirls.

Since their debut release in 2010, DaddysGirls have gone on to build a loyal and passionate following. Formed of twin sisters Missi and Melo, the North London pair has developed a distinct sound which has garnered them a significant fanbase. Invoking elements of R&B, hip-hop and dubstep, the group has created a melodic sound fitting for both mainstream and urban markets.

The success of the group’s second mixtape Chapter 2 cemented the duo as ones to watch out for. Gaining some significant coverage and a brilliant reception, DaddysGirls went on to tour a number of prestigious London venues. Stirring interest from some top industry names, DaddysGirls saw their music featured on the online series Venus Versus Mars and Brothers With No Game, as well as among the soundtrack for the short film Illegal Activity, directed by Sebastian Thiel.

Having unveiled a string of successful singles off the mixtape, ‘That’s Why Raving’s Long’ marks the group’s latest output. Showcasing their brand of ‘cheeky, contagious’ hip-hop, the single demonstrates their intelligent lyrics and melodic capabilities. Grouped with a solid, dance worthy beat, the refreshing track shows the act are not limited in their musical output. The accompanying video is a tribute to the track’s subject. Joining forces with Diverse Voices and Nang TV to deliver this, the duo’s frank and comedic take on the clubbing experience rubbishes the glamorous, champagne-popping imagery that is all too familiar in popular club videos. From the long entrance queues to the overpriced drinks, this catchy hip-hop smash is guaranteed to resonate with audiences across the globe.

Electro Trio U.A. To Release New Single ‘Addict’

Starting out back in 2012, the electro-dance group, formed of siblings Ash, Vicky and Kristian Owen, have generated a considerable buzz in such a short space of time. Created from the breakup of former band Kiddo 360 (UK Live & Unsigned winners 2008), U.A. have quickly formulated their own distinct sound. From building a dedicated fan base in their hometown of Swansea, the band has since set up base in East London and gone on to play sold out shows and gain followers across the globe. This brought the band to the attentions of esteemed sound engineer Wes Maebe (Ellie Goudling, Beverly Knight) and led him to mastering new single ‘Addict’. Impressed after seeing the band’s stripped down live set, Maebe described the band’s sound as ‘fresh’ and ‘killer’. The group also earnt a collaboration with EDM star Shuval Fixer on the track ‘Not Alone’, released through Base Recordings.

Now set to release their infectious single ‘Addict’ the group has highlighted how far they have come. With melodic hooks aplenty, powerful vocals and polished beats, the track is a quintessential club banger. Celebrating their first official release, the track is a step up for the group and marks them as ones to watch. The party anthem is complete with an accompanying video from Giles Palmer Films, which features models from Britain & Ireland’s Next Top Model.

‘Addict’ is set for release on July 29th. Watch the video here: http://youtu.be/myryq_8jnQw
