will.i.am will return to The Voice UK if panel remains same

will.i.am has revealed that he will return for the third series of The Voice UK as long as the current panel remains the same.

The Black Eyed Peas star, who is favourite to win this year’s competition with Leah Mcfall, joked to the Daily Star that sitting next to different coaches would be like ‘cheating on your wife’:

"As long as the four of us do it, then I'll sign again. I think it's important it's the four of us, there's a good chemistry. We talked the last time before we agreed to it and we will this time.

"It would be hard to do it without the others. I can't think about doing it with someone else. It would be weird. I know to look to the left when I'm having a bad day and Jessie will pull some weird-ass face and cheer me up. I know Tom's going to be all silver berry cool and Danny's an inspiration."

It was also confirmed today that Beady Eye and Avril Lavigne will perform on the semi-final of the BBC talent show this Saturday.

Bloc Party announce indefinite hiatus

Bloc Party have announced the second indefinite hiatus of their career.

The London quartet, who previously took a three-year break to concentrate on various solo projects back in 2009, will now go their separate ways again once they’ve completed all their summer festival dates.

Speaking to the National Post, guitarist Russell Lissack admitted that the band have no concrete plans following their current run of shows:

"Definitely after we finish the festivals in the summer we'll be taking some time off. At least six months, maybe a year maybe two years, it's hard to say.

"Once we start taking time off people start doing their own thing. So once people start doing things then you'll start naturally extending how long we spend apart."

However, the indie-rock outfit, who returned to the spotlight last August with the 'Four' LP, will still release a new E.P. ahead of their final festival date at Latitude on July 19.

The Wanted: 'New single divided us'

The Wanted have admitted that their new single, ‘Walks Like Rihanna,’ divided the group’s opinion when they first heard it.

The chart-topping boyband, who recently claimed that the Bajan superstar is a fan of the song, told Digital Spy backstage at Capital FM’s Summertime Ball that they understand why the track has received such a mixed response.

Max said: “We’ve had to grow on it quite a lot cos it’s a lot more poppier than what we normally do. But looking at the reaction out there today, it was like, yeah, people seem to like it.”

Tom then added: "It’s a weird one cos when we first heard it, we were like, erm, that’s a bit weird. But after two or three listens, it literally wouldn’t stop going around in my head. I was like this is a no-brainer, it’s a hit.”

Produced by Dr. Luke (Britney Spears, Katy Perry), the track will be released in the UK on June 23, the day before the band’s reality series, The Wanted Life, premieres on E!.
