The first single from their fourth studio album, 'Random Access Memories', once again sold over 100,000 copies to comfortably hold its position ahead of Passenger’s ‘Let Her Go.’

Demi Lovato entered at No.3 with ‘Heart Attack’ to score the biggest UK hit of her career, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis’ ‘Can’t Hold Us’ climbed to No.4, Rudimental's 'Waiting All Night' dropped to No.5, while Wretch 32’s collaboration with Shakka, ‘Blackout,' debuted at No.6.

Elsewhere, there were new entries for Sub Focus feat. Alex Clare’s ‘Endorphins’ at No.10, Stooshe’s ‘Slip’ at No.12, Olly Murs’ ‘Dear’ Darlin' at No.18 and Tich's 'Dumb' at No.23, while Mariah Carey & Miguel’s ‘Beautiful' climbed from 39-27.

The Spanish-born singer recently revealed to The Sun that she had an eight-month relationship with the boyband star following their appearance on the 2008 series.

However, the 30-year-old took to Twitter today to slam the newspaper for suggesting that the pair were now back together:

"How can words be twisted in such a way! U can say that u want to catch up with someone over dinner and all of the sudden u r dating! WOW!!!!"

Lorenzo, who releases her debut single, 'The Night,' on June 15, had previously told The Sun:

"We're going out to dinner this week and he's been texting me telling me I look sexy.

"I'll always love Oritsé - he's the kindest, sweetest man I've ever met."

Speaking to the Daily Mail, Green said:

"When I caught my first groper fish on 'Extreme Fishing', it reminded me of Simon. With all the cosmetic surgery he’s had, he is looking more like a groper fish. He looks as if he’s been shot out of a cannon."

Robson Green joined forces with his 'Soldier Soldier' acting pal, Jerome Flynn, on a cover version of 'Unchained Melody' which Green didn't want to sing. He said:

"I didn’t want to sing. I was already being paid a fortune for what I was doing but Simon wouldn’t let it go. He was pestering my mother all the time, wanting me to sing that bloody song with Jerome.

"I got a lawyer to stop him ringing her, then I called him myself and told him, “If you do it again I will take this to court. This is harassment.

"Then Simon said, 'Can I just say, I will give you THIS amount of money if you record the song.' The amount was in seven figures .  .  . of course I said 'yes'."

Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band' to become the UK’s second biggest selling album to date, according to the Official Charts Company.

The Swedish band’s 1992 Best Of collection has inched ahead of The Beatles’ 1967 album by nearly 15,000 copies with both albums selling over 5.1 million copies in the UK.

The announcement coincides with this year’s Eurovision Song Contest being held in the group’s homeland; ABBA famously won Eurovision in 1974 with Waterloo, which became their first ever Number 1 single on the UK’s Official Singles Chart.

ABBA founder / songwriter Björn Ulvaeus told OfficialCharts.com "It’s feels unreal - outselling the greatest record of all time!"

An estimated one in five British households owns a copy of either 'Gold' or 'Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band'.

'Gold' features all nine of the Swedish band’s Official Singles Chart Number 1s – including 'Waterloo', 'Mamma Mia', 'Fernando', 'Dancing Queen', 'Knowing Me Knowing You', 'The Name Of The Game', 'Take A Chance On Me', 'The Winner Takes It All', and 'Super Trouper' – and has spent a total of eight weeks at No.1 on the Official Albums Chart.

Former-ABBA blonde Agnetha Faltskog may have her highest charting solo album of her career later today (May 19). Faltskog's new album, 'A', could go Top 10 when the new Official Albums Chart Top 100 is announced.

The pop princess has contributed 'Ooh La La' for the film, which is due to be released on July 31.

The song has reportedly been made with the likes of Dr Luke, Ammo and Bonnie McKee.

Speaking previously about the song, Spears said: "I have always loved the Smurfs as a kid and now my boys are the biggest Smurfs fans ever. I wanted to surprise them with a song in the movie. I know they'll think it's Smurftastic!"

The Smurfs 2 is set to star the voices of Neil Patrick Harris, Jayma Mays and also Katy Perry.

As previously reported, Spears recently confirmed long-standing rumours that she will perform a Las Vegas residency.

'Wild' will be released as the first cut from her forthcoming new album, which will follow up 2011 debut 'Who You Are'.

The track will feature Dizzee Rascal and Big Sean, but no release date has yet been forthcoming.

Jessie J revealed the news on Twitter, exclaiming:

"MY FIRST WORLDWIDE SINGLE IS CALLED 'WILD' Feat @BigSean and @DizzeeRascal GO to http://www.jessiejofficial.com to let the fun begin! #jessiejwild."

She posted a teaser video of herself in the studio on her website, with the singer seen recording vocals.

As previously reported, Jessie J performed live on American Idol last night (May 16) alongside finalist Angie Miller as the show reached its finale.

The US star will perform at London's Notting Hall Tabernacle on May 31 in association with VEVO Presents.

The capacity of the venue is a reported 500, meaning that fans will get a supremely intimate look at the 'Heart Attack' singer.

Speaking about the date, Lovato said in a statement:

"I love performing in the UK, and it's exciting that I can share such an exclusive performance in London with my fans all over the world through my own VEVO Presents event."

Ticket details will be announced by VEVO on May 27.

Lovato meanwhile is due to release new album 'DEMI' in the UK on Monday (May 20), although all tracks can currently be streamed on YouTube.

The track was announced on Monday (May 13) and it features a cameo from US rapper B.o.B.

The song received its first airing today (May 15) on the radio and online, with the term '#BrokenheartedFirstPlay' trending worldwide on Twitter.

'Brokenhearted' will be officially released on July 7 and speaking previously in a statement, singer Andy Brown said:

"'Brokenhearted' is definitely a bit of a turning point for us as a band. It's my favourite song we have recorded to date. It was a dream to get B.o.B on the track. The whole band are huge fans of his. He really took the song to the next level and we had a great time shooting the video with him."

The British group will release the track 'Brokenhearted' on July 7 and the US rapper will star on the song.

In a statement, Lawson's Andy Brown - who wrote the track - said that the single was "taken to the next level" by the guest cameo. He said:

"'Brokenhearted' is definitely a bit of a turning point for us as a band. It's my favourite song we have recorded to date. It was a dream to get B.o.B on the track. The whole band are huge fans of his. He really took the song to the next level and we had a great time shooting the video with him."

The song will be available to pre-order in the UK from Wednesday (May 15), which is when the track will hit the radio.

Lawson's previous single came in the shape of 'Learn to Love Again', which reached No.13 in the UK chart when it was released in February.

The Korean unleashed the song last year and it soon morphed into a massive viral hit, with its dance themed video becoming the first video to reach one billion hits on YouTube.

Speaking during a talk at Massachusetts' Harvard University, the singer and entertainer suggested that the song's popularity happened by chance. He said:

"'Gangnam Style' was not normal. [It] was not standard - that was an accident and accidents don't happen often."

As previously reported, Psy recently responded by Green Day's Billie Joe Armstrong after the US star likened him to a music equivalent of herpes.

He said: "I kinda like it, it's cool. So he's saying I'm like herpes? I should say something to him. What was his name? Billie Joe Armstrong from Green Day, he's saying I'm like herpes, it keeps coming back. I think it's really cool and I appreciate that. Thank you."

The sultry singer has signed to RedOne's 2101 label, which is a subsidiary of Capitol and ultimately Universal.

In a statement, the producer expressed his delight at snapping up the former American Idol judge, who will release new single 'Live It Up' via the label. He said:

"This is like a dream come true for me. It was amazing to be able to work with Jennifer on so many great records over the past two years and now it is such an honour to have her on my label."

RedOne continued: "She is a creative inspiration and a true global superstar artist who brings so much to everything she does. I feel that this is historic and a wonderful opportunity to launch 2101/Capitol in this way."

Lopez joins the likes of TalkBack, Porcelain Black and Dive Bella Dive on 2101's roster.

The singer is releasing the track '#Beautiful' as the first single from her forthcoming new album.

She recently uploaded the Miguel collaboration online and it was lapped up by fans and the public alike.

The video for the track was debuted last night (May 9) on American Idol and it has now been uploaded online.

The clip sees Carey and Miguel riding on a motorcycle in the countryside, whilst the former can also be seen posing seductively on the vehicle.

The video for '#Beautiful' meanwhile was directed by Joseph Khan.

The US star is releasing the Pitbull collaboration 'Live It Up' as the first single from her forthcoming new album.

The singer unleashed the song to radio today (May 8) as the former American Idol judge begins her promotional campaign.

Speaking to Z100's Elvis Duran, Lopez said: "To be here, making your tenth album and listening to our single is a dream come true. I just feel so grateful, I don't even know how everything happened."

The singer added: "I think we're going to release this first and then a few singles and then we'll decide when to put the album out. The way the industry is going...I'm more a believer of letting it gain momentum. Let there be demand for the album by putting out some great music first."

A recent video shoot for 'Live It Up' meanwhile was interrupted after gun shots were heard near the Florida beach the clip was being filmed on.

The singer is releasing the track 'Dear Darlin'' as the next cut from his 2012 record 'Right Place Right Time'.

The song will be released on June 2 and it will mark the follow-up to previous efforts 'Troublemaker' and 'Army of Two'.

The stills from his 'Dear Darlin'' shoot sees the star looking reflective as he writes and uses an acoustic guitar.

As previously reported, Murs recently joked in an interview that he would have sex with Robbie Williams out on the road this summer if he wanted him to.

The singer said: "He's funny. If he wants me to sh*g him on tour, then I'll sh*g him on tour."
