Lana Del Rey teases "stripped down" new album

Lana Del Rey has revealed that her new album will be more "stripped down" that her last.

The sultry singer released her debut major label record 'Born To Die' in 2012 and it saw the star evoke a classic, mature feel.

Speaking to BBC Newsbeat, the 'Video Games' singer revealed that her new album will be more basic in sound, but added that it will still retain some of her hallmarks. Speaking about her next record, said:

"It's a little more stripped down but still cinematic and dark. I've been writing in Santa Monica and I know what the record sounds like. Now I just have to finish it. Musically I've worked with the same three guys."

Talking about visuals, Del Rey added: "For some reason the videos are still the easiest things that come. As soon as I write the words to a song, I can paint exactly what I want the picture to look like. I have a song called 'Black Beauty' and I've already talked to people about making it."
