The music mogul took to Twitter to muse about the upcoming season of The X Factor US.

After announcing the start date of audition stages and confirming details about the new panel,  Cowell dished out advice to people wanting to audition for the show.

He said: "We start x factor auditions in charleston on Tuesday. The new panel will be announced Monday. This is going to be an interesting show!

He added: And for anyone looking for advice on who too look to as an inspiration when you are auditioning for one of our shows. One name. Beyonce. And pink. And of course one direction. Who made it happen through sheer determination (sic)."

Cowell and Demi Lovato will return to the panel next season, with Britney Spears and L.A. Reid announcing their departure.

Cowell also reflected on his time at American Idol.

Randy Jackson announced he wouldn't be returning as a judge and mentor on next season's show - leaving behind current judges Mariah Carey, Nicki Minaj and Keith Urban.

Cowell added: "Randy leaving idol made me remember that Paula [Abdul] randy me and Ryan [Seacrest' had the best time. I miss them (sic)."

The blast killed at least 13 people, including five firefighters and injured 200 earlier this week.

He issued a statement saying, “West is just a few miles from my hometown of Abbott. I was born and raised here and it was my backyard growing up. This is my community. These friends and neighbors have always been and are still a part of my life. My heart is praying for the community that we call home.”

Joining Nelson at the show will be Lukas Nelson and Promise of the Real, the Paula Nelson Band and Folk Uke.

Paula Reed, fashion director at Harvey Nichols, explained to London's Evening Standard that the Spice Girls star has a strong work ethic and good understanding of how to preserve exclusivity, which in turn keep people interested and the items sought-after:

"People assume all celebrity designers are dilettantes, dabbling in fashion. But Victoria has stuck at it, delivering something of quality that many women really want to buy."

"We cannot keep her dresses in stock and they never go into a mark-down sale. We’d have more if we could but [the label] keeps production numbers down to preserve quality.”

Melanie Rickey, the editor and trend consultant behind the 'fashioneditoratlarge' blog added that Beckham was cautious to hire a very talented team so can learn on the job, but has a naturally great eye for tailoring and style:

"Victoria made sure she hired the best designers and learned from the best, as all the smartest people do. She acts as their muse or creative director, and has learned on the job. Can she cut a pattern? Probably not. But she can tell when the pattern needs to be tweaked (tighter probably)."

She appeared on 'Live With Kelly & Michael' this morning (February 8) and explained that the new judges, namely Nicki Minaj, Keith Urban and Mariah Carey, have a different dynamic and appeal to those she's used to seeing on the show, which has made for strange viewing:

“It’s taken a bit to get used to the new judges. I come from 'American Idol', so I’m used to seeing Simon, Paula and Randy…"

"It’s kind of awkward for me to see it with new judges…"

Hudson continued to talk about the programme and added that she's happy to see Mariah Carey at least "because she's a singer": "I’m happy that [Mariah Carey]‘s there because she’s a singer, so she knows what to expect, how to judge, even the position that the kids are in when they’re auditioning."

The singer was signed up to appear on the show's inaugural series in 2011 but she only lasted a year in the role before being dumped alongside Paula Abdul and host Steve Jones.

Simon Cowell called her stint on the show "wishy-washy", but speaking to Marie Claire, an embattled Scherzinger said that she disagrees. She said:

"I did a great job with my contestants. I still brought ratings to the damn show. Everybody was talking about it - that's not a bad thing. I'm a very sincere and honest person, and if you think that's boring you can turn off and watch something else."

The former Pussycat Doll continued: "I'm not going to change just to try to fit in. I'm very experienced in my art, and in music, and in what we're looking for. That 'boring' crap is hogwash. You try to do my job. And if you still think it's boring, then check out my music videos on YouTube because that's not boring."

Spears, who joined the panel along with former Disney starlet Demi Lovato, told MTV News that some of the auditions she has witnessed so far have been downright ridiculous, but there have been some talented performers:

"I feel like we've had a little bit of, bizarre performances, overall. There have been some good ones but, for the most part, there's been some ones that were, pretty bad!"

"It is the best feeling when someone just comes on stage and makes us want to stand up, there's energy, it's great."

"I think it helps a lot, it helps us to relate to them a little bit more and understand where they're coming from because we've actually been in their shoes."

The new pictures, which were uploaded to the programme's official Twitter page over the weekend, show the judging panel visibly enjoying themselves and even standing up in support of a performer on stage.

Britney Spears and Demi Lovato, the two new additions to this year's panel, seem to be getting along well with Simon Cowell and LA Reid, and former Disney starlet Lovato has even been joking with Cowell on social networking site Twitter:

"@simoncowell if you were a food you'd be crustaroni & cheese #xfactor"

'Hold It Against Me' songstress Spears also spoke out last week about how she felt "right at home" in her new role on the popular televised vocal talent show.

Writing on Twitter earlier this morning (May 26), the pop superstar explained that she is enjoying being a part of the vocal talent show and so far has been impressed with the auditions:

"Austin - I love you! You made me feel right at home in that judge's chair. Kansas City here we come! @TheXFactorUSA"

X Factor USA's official Twitter account also posted a quote from Spears, which read: "Austin has been great. I can def tell its a music city, except for that one guy they let on stage!"

Following her judging panel debut, the internet was overrun with reports that she had stormed off during the live auditions round in Austin, but Spears was quick to refute the claims and explained that she was simply taking a break:

"#Britneywalksoff‬??? LOL was just taking a little break people. I am having the BEST time!!!"

Yesterday (May 24) marked the launch of the new series of the televised vocal talent contest and it began in Austin, Texas.

Both Britney Spears and Demi Lovato, who are new to the judging panel, took to their official Twitter pages to share their excitement with fans around the world.

The 'Womanizer' pop sensation, who wore a stunning tight pink mini-dress with a sheer panel creating a plunging neck line, joked that music mogul Simon Cowell was late on his first day:

"Just arrived for @TheXFactorUSA auditions - hope everyone is ready! Still waiting on @SimonCowell of course...."

Former Disney starlet Lovato tweeted: "OMG!!! This is so much fun! #XfactorUSA"

The 'Straight Up' singer was axed from her judges position after the last series of the popular vocal talent show, but told Perez Hilton that the 'Womanizer' superstar is a fantastic replacement:

"I think it's going to be great, and I'll tell you why. I think people are anticipating seeing Britney Spears. She's overcome a tremendous amount of adversity."

"And I'm always for the underdog coming back. She's a big star."

Earlier this evening (May 24), Spears tweeted a message to her 16.9 million Twitter followers to let them know she is on the set of her first ever X Factor USA live auditions round in Austin, Texas:

"Just arrived for @TheXFactorUSA auditions - hope everyone is ready! Still waiting on @SimonCowell of course..."

Scherzinger left the show earlier this year along with Paula Abdul after the first series of the show ended, with host Steve Jones also culled.

Britney Spears has been a tabloid favourite to replace one of the outgoing judges, with Simon Cowell doing little to play down the rumours.

Speaking to E!, Scherzinger has given her support to Spears as the race for the judges' seats hots up. She said:

"Britney is so bubbly and warm and everyone loves her anyway, so she just has to be herself. I think that it's something that we can't deny, but there's something about Britney that we...are always rooting for her and behind her no matter what."

The show is currently without two of its judges after Nicole Scherzinger and Paula Abdul both left the show after its first series.

Speaking to ITV show Daybreak, Bieber said he would be interested in taking a seat on a TV talent show judging panel - but not quite yet. When asked if he would be up for it, he replied:

"Maybe in a couple of years. Five years or something like that could be cool."

As previously reported, Bieber had also said in the same interview that he would be game for collaborating with British boyband One Direction in the future.

He also revealed that the 'One Thing' boys had been over at his house - but no music was made, with the visit purely for "hanging out" reasons.

The ‘Glamorous’ star has been the subject of constant rumours since Nicole Scherzinger and Paula Abdul left the talent contest, but speaking to MTV News, she said that although her team have been in contact with the show, it’s not the right time at this stage in her career:

"I can't commit all the energy that these contestants deserve. This is their career, and right now, I've got different plants in my garden that are going on, and that's a really big tree that would take a lot of nurturing and energy. It's just not the right time right now."

The 36-year-old, whose bandmate Will.i.am will be seen as a coach on The Voice for the first time tomorrow night, admitted that although she won’t be involved, she’ll still be tuning into the new series:

"I think whatever they do ... Simon's a genius and he'll make the right decision. And it will all work out.

"I love Simon and I'll be watching the show. I'm excited to watch — but at home in my pajamas."

The show is currently two judges short of a full panel after Nicole Scherzinger and Paula Abdul left in a clearout of the show's staff.

Eddie Cibrian told Extra that his wife has been "talking" to X Factor USA representatives - but he has no idea what the deal currently is.

He did however take time up to big up his wife's credentials. He said:

"They've been talking. I think she would be unbelievable on a show like that because she's so smart and intelligent...Plus, she can sing!"

He added: "I have no idea what's going on with that… I think they've been talking to a lot of people."
