The 'Teenage Dream' beauty has been linked to the Florence + the Machine musician after they were photographed enjoying each other's company at California's Coachella festival earlier this year, but revealed to USA Today that all she wants to do at the moment is 'heal'.

When asked if they are an item, Perry said: "That's not even appropriate to label. There are times I go out and meet people and flirt, but it's not really appropriate to have anything serious."

"For me, right now, I'm totally not looking. I'm just looking to heal. And I'm on that path."

She took to social networking site Twitter earlier this afternoon (July 6) and promoted her new concert movie, telling her followers to head to a cinema and watch it:

"Grab ur bff, gf, bf, wife, husband, sister, brother, mom, dad, cousin, aunt, uncle, cat & bring them to my movie PART OF ME in theaters NOW!"

Speaking to Britain's The Mirror newspaper, the beauty explained that she's moving on and still finds "London boys" charming:

"I'm moving forward one step at a time. It was a year I'll never be able to recreate. It had amazing highs and some big lows, but that's life. I've learnt I'm in a very modern fairytale but I also know I don't need the Prince Charming to have a happy ending."

Perry, who is said to be dating Florence & the Machine's Robert Ackroyd, added: "I still believe in love, most definitely. [And] I still like London boys. Except one."

In the same interview, she opened up about her dreams of one day starting a family and revealed that while she loves children she still feels too young and inexperienced to have any just yet:

"I want to be a mother but now's not the right time. A baby can't have a baby, and I'm still a baby."

The 'Wide Awake' singer split from husband Russell Brand late last year and a divorce soon ensued.

She has since been rumoured to be dating Florence + The Machine guitarist Rob Ackroyd, and speaking to the Hollywood Reporter, Perry said that she hasn't lost hope of finding love again. She said:

"I still believe in love and marriage. I've just learned lessons along the way. I regret nothing."

As previously reported, Perry said in the same interview that she was so overcome with emotion as a result of her private life that she cried before performing live.

She also told the Hollywood Reporter that she has a "spiritual base" and has an "open-ended" conversation with God.

Heat magazine have said they caught up with the guitarist in Katy Perry's dressing room at the recent Capital FM Summertime Ball event, with Ackroyd calling Perry the "real deal". He said:

"She's the real deal. She loves London, so I'm just showing her the sights."

They asked him if he was Perry's boyfriend - which was met with silence - and then asked if it was just a physical partnership, to which he replied:

"No, no, it's not like that. Um, more like the other one."

The movie will be released around the UK and USA in cinemas from July 5, and the 'Teenage Dream' hitmaker has now shared yet another clip from it with her followers around the world.

In this new preview, Perry can be seen talking about her suggestive hit 'I Kissed A Girl' and how her parents reacted to it: "I think people love the idea of a good girl gone bad, and they think my parents have disowned me, but that's not the story at all."

Her sister, Angela Hudson, also opens up about how Katy initially asked her to relay the news to their religious mother and father: "When Katy decided that 'I Kissed A Girl' was going to be her first single, I said, 'Have you told mum and dad?' and she said, 'No, can you?'"

Earlier today (June 13), she treated her fans to a sneak peek of her forthcoming music video for 'Wide Awake'.

The 'What The Water Gave Me' star will raise money for type 1 diabetes medical organisation Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation by offering her fans the chance to bid on a gig for just 25 people. A statement on JDRF's website explains:

"Florence will give an exquisite acoustic twenty minute performance accompanied by acoustic harp and guitar, your opportunity to hear one of the musicians that encapsulates the zeitgeist of early 21st century music up close and very personal."

"This promises to be one of those experiences you will never forget and will scarcely be able to believe it happened."

The auction has already started and was at £6,500 earlier today (June 8), but it is set to close on June 10.

Ackroyd and Perry were photographed together at this year's Coachella festival in California looking very happy in each other's company and Welch told Heatworld.com that she wasn't surprised they had hit it off:

"Rob's gorgeous, inside and out. I get it. Katy is this ball of absolutely amazing energy, she's so wonderful and fun. She's very supportive of my music. Katy's very supportive of my music. I think that it's brilliant having all these amazing female solo singers doing so well. It's inspiring. I do love Lady Gaga and Katy. They're part of the family."

Earlier this week, Florence & the Machine unveiled a new music video for 'Spectrum', which was directed by John Byrne and David LaChapelle.

Speaking to Gibson.com, he revealed that the band is planning to work at the iconic Abbey Road Studios in London:

"Work on the second album has begun with Paul Epworth and there is talk of booking out Abbey Road for a month in April/May to record, which is nice."

This new offering will be the band's follow up to their 2009 4 times Platinum album 'Lungs'. Lead vocalist Florence Welch is set to perform at the Oscars later this month and guitarist Ackroyd also explained that their musical preferences are often different:

"Florence's and my taste in music often overlap in harmonious fashion; we're both big fans of hip-hop and American indie."

"But she's also a big fan of unadulterated pop music, which cuts through me like a knife."
