To celebrate McFly’s tenth anniversary, the band have announced that they will play two very special shows at London’s prestigious Royal Albert Hall this September.

To kick off the band’s tenth birthday celebrations, McFly will be treating fans to performances of some of their biggest hits, along with some special guests in the legendary surroundings of the Royal Albert Hall – which over the years has played host to musical icons like Frank Sinatra, Jimi Hendrix, The Beatles, The Who, Led Zeppelin, and Elton John. The shows follow the band’s recent sold-out ‘Best Of McFly’ tour which saw the boys play 20 shows across the UK after the release of ‘Memory Lane’ – a collection of McFly’s greatest hits from their early smashes ‘Five Colours In Her Hair’ , ‘Obviously’ and ‘Star Girl’, to chart hits such as ‘All About You’, ‘One For The Radio’ ‘and Party Girl’, alongside the band’s recent and biggest selling single ‘Shine A Light’ Feat. The concert will take place after the Leicester Square premiere of new Brad Pitt movie World War Z, which features the band's music.

The gig will be held in Horse Guards Parade Ground at St James's Park on June 2.

15,000 tickets will be made available to fans from 9am UK time on May 28.

World War Z meanwhile will be released in the UK and the US on June 21.

Many of the film's scenes were shot in Glasgow's city centre, with a zombie invasion taking place on the streets.

The gig took place at the Wolverhamption Civic Hall on December 22, 1988, over a year after the band’s break-up. Fans wearing Morrissey or Smiths t-shirts gained admission to see all the members of the band minus guitarist Johnny Marr play songs that that had never before been heard live as well as songs recorded for Morrissey’s solo career. At the time of the performance, the three other members were in the process of suing their former singer.

The footage appeared online yesterday featuring the full 40-minute set opening with ‘Stop Me If You Think You’ve Heard This One Before’.

Created from the breakup of former band Kiddo 360 (UK Live & Unsigned winners 2008), U.A. have quickly formulated their own distinct sound.  From building a dedicated fan base in their hometown of Swansea, the band has since set up base in East London and gone on to play sold out shows and gain followers across the globe. This brought the band to the attentions of esteemed sound engineer Wes Maebe (Ellie Goudling, Beverly Knight) and led him to mastering new single ‘Addict’. Impressed after seeing the band’s stripped down live set, Maebe described the band’s sound as ‘fresh’ and ‘killer’. The group also earnt a collaboration with EDM star Shuval Fixer on the track ‘Not Alone’, released through Base Recordings.

Now set to release their infectious single ‘Addict’ the group has highlighted how far they have come. With melodic hooks aplenty, powerful vocals and polished beats, the track is a quintessential club banger. Celebrating their first official release, the track is a step up for the group and marks them as ones to watch. The party anthem is complete with an accompanying video from Giles Palmer Films, which features models from Britain & Ireland’s Next Top Model.

Speaking to The Sun, Horan revealed that it is in fact Louis Tomlinson who is the proud owner of the cheesiest feet in One Direction.

Why? Because he often wears no socks, making for a slimy pair of soles. He said:

"Louis has the smelliest feet ever. He wears plimsolls with no socks so his feet get very sweaty and the sweat is captured. If we are on a bus or something and he takes them off we all pretty much start gagging."

The official One Direction Twitter account meanwhile recently said that one of the band's members once played "Buzz Lightyear in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang" in a school play - later revealing that it was Harry Styles who had a penchant for plays back in the day.
