Avril Lavigne can't stop smiling when asked if her wedding will be in France

Pop-rocker Avril Lavigne has opened up about her impending wedding and her new music during an interview with 92.3 NOW FM.

While she hasn't revealed the date of the ceremony, in which she will marry Nickelback's frontman, she explained that "the most fun part, so far, has been coming up with the location." When asked if the location was Paris or France, the 'Sk8er Boi' star couldn't stop grinning and joked, "I'm just smiling!"

Several other allusions were made to the country during the chat and they all got the same response from the beauty.

Despite enjoying most of the planning, Lavigne explained that getting people's information for invites has been very stressful: "The one thing that was the pain in the ass was getting everyone's names and addresses and all of that stuff."

Speaking about her music video for 'Here's To Never Growing Up', which she co-wrote with fiancé Chad Kroeger, she explained that there were several ideas for the video direction: "I had my original idea and then we had a bunch of different directors submit concepts. The guy we went with had the idea to do it around prom. I loved that. It's like a throwback."

The Catholic League criticise new David Bowie video

The Catholic League have slammed Davie Bowie's latest music video, calling it a "mess".

The veteran singer recently issued his 'The Next Day' video, which features numerous religious references and nods to Catholicism.

YouTube initially withdrew the clip from its website before reinstating the video with an adult warning.

In a post on their website, Catholic League president Bill Donohue questioned the promo and Bowie's motives. He said:

"The switch-hitting, bisexual, senior citizen from London has resurfaced, this time playing a Jesus-like character who hangs out in a nightclub dump frequented by priests, cardinals and half-naked women."

Donohue added: "The video is strewn with characteristic excess: one priest bashes a homeless man, while others are busy hitting on women; self-flagellation is depicted; a dancing gal with bleeding hands makes a stigmata statement; and a customer is served eyeballs on a plate. The lyrics refer to the 'priest stiff in hate' and 'women dressed as men for the pleasure of that priest'. The song concludes with, 'They can work with Satan while they dress with the saints'. In short, the video reflects the artist - it is a mess."

Caro Emerald on course for number 1 album this Sunday

Caro Emerald looks set to enter the UK charts at Number 1 on Sunday (May 12th 2013) with her second album ‘The Shocking Miss Emerald’, as revealed by the Official Charts Company today.

This would give Caro her highest UK chart position - her debut album, 2010’s ‘Deleted Scenes From The Cutting Room Floor’ peaked at number 4. Released on Dramatico/Grandmono, Caro’s trademark retro-pop is laden with wit, sass and style, a winning formula that has connected with fans throughout Europe.

Having sold out her March UK tour (including a night at the Royal Albert Hall) Caro recently announced a 14 date September tour which is already sold out. Caro will be performing on ITV1’s This Morning on May 10th and will be appearing on BBC Breakfast on May 14th.

The Amsterdam Conservatory trained jazz vocalist is an original pop star with the look of a Hollywood icon of yesteryear and a voice that oozes warmth and vitality. ‘Deleted Scenes From The Cutting Room Floor’ sold more than 1.3 million copies across Europe, dominating the charts for 30 weeks in Holland, and in Britain spent nine weeks in the top 10 and was certified platinum. Caro performed on UK TV shows including Jools Holland’s Hootenanny, Strictly Come Dancing and BBC’s Children In Need and her music became a permanent fixture on the airwaves with Radio 2 adding all five singles to the A List and making the record Album Of The Week. Caro’s live performances included an astonishing set in London’s Hyde Park and at the Isle of Wight Festival and her sold out headline UK tour garnered rave reviews.

Caro has also dominated the German music scene, and recently picked up the prestigious Golden Camera Award for ‘Best International Music Artist’, the ‘International Newcomer Award’ at the Echo Awards and was nominated for the Swiss Music Award ‘Best Breaking Act International’. More recently, America has discovered Caro and in January she played sold out shows in Los Angeles and New York to great acclaim. Her live performance is not to be missed - reviewing the show at The Roundhouse, The Times declared the atmosphere to be “part carnival, part high-school prom”, praising her “magnificent vocals” and concluding that “When she finally bounced off stage, punching the air, it felt like a whirlwind had hit North London.”

Justin Bieber has invited one of his high school fans to tonight’s Billboard Awards after he was forced to turn down a request to show up at her prom.

The 18-year-old, who will perform current single, ‘Boyfriend,’ at the ceremony, had been the subject of a year-long campaign by teenager Cady Eimer, who set up a website to persuade him to attend her senior prom.

Although the Canadian singer was unable to turn up on the night, he instead surprised her with a special video message in front of all her classmates asking her and sister Holli to join him at the awards in Las Vegas.

Cady, who had previously met Bieber during a meet and greet in North Carolina back in 2010, then trended on Twitter after posting a message revealing her excitement at the news.
